Instead of the tower you could have probably used the infill as well to save some filament.
There would be absolutely no difference if it is gonna be extruded in the infill or a seperate wall, its gonna waste both anyways
@@Zigzag3269tfIf you don't need infill, then yes, it's still waste. If you do need infill, you'll use less filament. Unless you mean it's waste cause it's not a "functional" print.

I feel the same way too. It’s way cheaper to sand and paint on the colors yourself. The only positive I see with an AMS is Hue Forge and the runout spool change feature

How do you get the AMS to print 5 colors?
They probably have a roll off to the side for a total of Five filaments.

What's the story with the tower of filament printed alongside? Is that something the ams does to change filament color?
The prime tower can be used to clean up the residue on the nozzle and stabilize the chamber pressure inside the nozzle and also for smooth timelapse video.

I'd recommend keeping a light in the room focused on the printer, even a cheap desk lamp, for consistency. I did it with one of my printers and it helps it not get so grainy when the lights were off. Otherwise, Amazing!

Scaled to 150%, and the length is now 12cm
