Yo i know im pretty late here, but 4 years ago, i first played mgs5 on ps3. I thought my base getting invaded all the time was just npc stuff. However, nothing worth any real value was taken from me, which i thought to be very weird. Until I to saw this cutscene in game. Personally, im not a fan of nukes, even in game, so i choose never to get nukes in the game. I just had to come here to say that i unknowingly helped in the cause. Good mission, soldiers!

I'm sad that ps3 version is shut down as it's the only platform for being nuke-free. I wish pc version would finally be free of nukes someday.

RIP ps3 and 360 servers for MGSV shut down. Now there cannot be a chapter 3 for these consoles... even with total nuclear disarmament.

Seeing this is..well it’s sort of heart warming. I started a couple months ago and sometimes I feel alone in the game. Like no one’s there but me. Then I see this and I smile knowing I’m not alone and there’s some great people out there.

I played this game day one and always did my best to help the disarment, my PS3 sadly broke later but it's good to know we finally managed this. Welp, time for a new mission, PS3 might of broke but still got the game on Xbox one. It's FOB raiding time baby.

I got this cutscene a few weeks ago on pc. Is it a rare cutscene or something?

The war is over my fellow Diamond Dogs the war is finally over.

So, is this cutscene linked to an event that's recycled now? Or, is it based of of global players on whatever console/system they're using that have nukes in their FOBs? Not sure how I got this cutscene, but MINE was triggered after accidentally building a nuke, and then IMMEDIATELY disarming it, and ridding the radioactive materials (which made me chuckle a bit too, cuz it has a spanking total of 1 nukes decommissioned). That was on Xbox. Then, on PC another weird thing is I got the cutscene again, but I never ever developed or invaded an FOB with nukes on PC. Guess it's on a reset every so often, huh? Either way, this was cool to see the first time ever, and my heart actually sank a lot, because it was sad to know this game was never going to be truly 100% finished, but we were left with this awesome message. Nuclear attacks, and proxy warfare: these are the threats of today's world at war.

One sec, gotta make a nuke brb.
