How does the wgen11500tfc fit depth wise? Looking at the specs it says the genie is 27.2” wide and the interior dimension of the sun cast is 28.25” deep. That doesn’t sound like much room for airflow, but it’s likely measured at the wheels? Are you able to fit the generator in there with the wheels on with the added insulation?

Please help me out here. On "Generator Bible" it says this generator has a THD <23%. Is that number accurate or not? I am a gamer and need a low THD. Everywhere else is saying that it is a <5%

Do you have any issues running tvs or computers, refrigerators, washer etc…. I want to get this set up for my home but see so many comments on buying inverter style generators only. And stay away from open frame that they will damage electronics. I don’t know what to do.

I’m wanting to buy the WGen11500TFc and use Natural Gas. This is what I’m trying to run. Thinking about buying this exact model to use with natural gas (9,500 running watts / 12,000 peak watts. What can I realistically expect it to run. I have a 3 year old home, 3100 sq ft, a 3 ton A/C unit, a 5 ton A/C unit, electric dryer, two gas tankless water heaters and LED lights throughout the house. I’m thinking if in worst case scenario, could I run my: 3 ton A/C, Microwave, 1 Tankless water heater WiFi Modem A few lights. I know the videos and research I’ve done it sounds like it might could do these things (with soft start on 3 ton a/c. You think this would do it?

Calvin, I am currently setting up an almost identical system. Very curious about your wiring diagram. Does your feed from the grid to the subpanel have its own breaker in the main box or is it straight wired to the breaker in the subpanel? Really enjoying the video and await the next one!

I really like your storage/noise dampening box. Do you have a detailed build video? Would you comment on the use of NGK BPR6ES spark plug vs. the Westinghouse recommended BPR6HS spark plug?

I am about to start "the build". My westinghouse 14500 just arrived. I bought a a 14in fan (1000cfm), but can save $15 on a 12 in fan (940cfm). Is 60cfm much of a difference? Shed size is same as yours.

Great setup. Only thing that has me scratching my head is that transfer switch for the fan? If the outlet gets power from your house wouldn’t the outlet also get power from the generator when you turn on the interlock? Then also have power when you switch back to utility power ? So really no need for a transfer switch ?

FYI, in 2024 here in Portland, OR I've had three neighbors get complete Generac standby systems installed. They payed $25k each!! I run my house off a $1000 Champion propane inverter, plus I spent another grand on electric stuff and tri-dual conversion. We have NG appliances, so don't need a lot of watts and only use A/C for a couple months in the summer.

What is the solar input? Is it 5521 or? How is it possible to jump start a car with it? Every other power station I have will only trickle charge a car battery, and the wire gauge looks too thin.

A mistake that you made was purchasing a low cost, Chinese made high frequency, transformerless inverter charger. All of these inferior high frequency inverters from any manufacturer, uses a low cost, low surge, short lived high frequency, transformerless inverter design that can be unsafe when powering household appliances or when charging an EV because they both lack an output transformer that provides galvanic isolation between their DC boost stage and their AC output. You're far better off investing in a much safer, higher performance low frequency, transformer based inverter charger.

So on the generator you keep the breaker on and battery switch on so than all you have to do in a power outage is flip the breaker in the service panel. Then turn the generator on with your remote and of course keep the battery charger plugged in. Does that sound about right?

I don't know if you have zoning setbacks there, but in my neighborhood it's 3 feet, so the back of your enclosure would need to be a minimum of 36" from the fence line where I live. Thank goodness, because my neighbor tried to stick her Generac standby right next to my bedroom. I called her out on it so they had to put that pos on the other side of her house. Be respectful of your neighbors, folks!

Hi, do you set the selector to Natural Gas when using Natural Gas? I have the Westinghouse WGEN11500Tfc generator and have the gauge to read my natural gas pressure. My meter has 2 psi and plumber installed a 1" tee off for my generator. I have an adjustable regulator right at the meter to reduce the 2 psi to 7-11 W.C. I have a 10ft long 3/4" ID hose connecting from the regulator to generator with 1" to 3/4" reducer at the regulator side and 3/4" to 1/2" reducer at the generator side. I also changed out the stock spark plug to NGK BP7ES and gapped it at 0.024". I tried many runs, setting mine from 7" W.C. up to 11" W.C. In all my runs, my generator ran rough using the Natural Gas Selector and ran smooth using the Propane Selector while using NG. I preferred not running NG using switch set to Propane if possible. But if that's what need to be then that will be it. If I take this route, did anyone get any adverse effect when running to or close to full load using NG with switch set to Propane. Please reply to let me know: it is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Also I believe conduit generally needs to be metal when above ground. I'll do more research on that.

How's the noise level been? Apparently when maxxing out solar charging they're like a jet? I still love it but I'm curious what it's like for you after 2 months.

Sorry one more question - You stated that changed the spark plug helps with Gas but then you state you run Gasoline (non ethanol) does that plug you swapped out do fine with Gasoline also. Video is super helpful Ty!

I'm late to comment But I would suggest header wrap that hot Rodgers use on their exhaust pipes. It might help keep the interior cooler

Check the oil level , sure, but you really don't need to change it after 50 hours. That oil stays clear for a long time. Westinghouse built this thing for long use and its not a pussy

do you know if this works with a generlink? i got a 10500 but cant seem to confirm it works before installing a generlink
