Hey guys, Bearing load cannot be applied for lines or edges. Workbench can apply bearing load only to circular or cylindrical surfaces only.
Bearing load is applied only on the surfaces not on edges
187 is used for which type of meshing?
187 is 10 node tetrahedron element i.e., higher order tet element used for complex geometries.
Can we do solid mesh copy as well?
Solid Mesh copy will happen directly with same mesh settings

suppose i have 7 layers of orientations, 0, 45, -45, 90, -45, 45, 0 respectively, and I want to view a single layer during my contor plotting. how can we do that ( I used shell element)
This video is not related to shell mesh. For shell mesh you will get stress at 3 layers Top, middle and Bottom in APDL
Respected sir i am tryin this from a week but still facing a problem while adding cylinderical and bearing support on hole sir i dont not whats the reason behind that it cannot select that cylinderical hole for both bearing laod and cylendrical support sir kinldy gauide me how i solve this problem.actullay when i slect that hole it would turn into green shaded line but when i press apply that agian it remain deselected and no conditon applied on that hole .Sir i know you are professional and you have more knowledge than me kindly help me to solve this issue
Hi, You cannot apply both displacement and force for a same surface. It is wrong in turns of physics of the application too. That is the reason, it didn't allowed you. For any other queries you can whatsapp to +91 9666666425

Can i edit (unpick) on the group after the creation? As when picking lines at the creation i always pick addtional lines by mistake when i plot the group i discover that so Can i edit on that group?
Direct method is not there. Turn- around method is select unwanted entities as component and unselect from the original component and update the required component.

How can I perform volume mesh for imported IGES file?
Ensure that model is proper and make connectivity check for the imported model. Then, add you required element type and mesh it by using mesh tool.

You can provide dimensions both in vertical & horizontal (as per requirement) to make it smooth.

Ansys did not provided that facility, but while installation you can check only required things to install

the biggest problem is that when you read the archived model, the elements are not associated with the geometry (volumes,areas, lines, etc.) anymore, please correct me if I am wrong!
Yes. How you are archiving is also matter. While Archiving select combined option & Read it. So, the associative with geometry to mesh will remain. Still any issue - msg us to +91 9666 666 425
I want to read points in design modeler and then work on them in sketching mode. How is it possible. Kindly advise. Thanks
These points are not editable in sketch as per tool limitation

couldnt understand when did the duplicate geometry got pasted . must have written or spoken
observe carefully, and you will get the steps at the left bottom corner.
I have download it, in my pc workbench is running but APDL is not running when i starting output window is opening and showing error
clear temp files & try to open from APDL Mechanical tool window. It may work.

Thanks Please I have question Why when we study footing uplift we required static nonlinear analysis
For evaluating dynamic characteristics of slender structures like tall buildings or school buildings, it is necessary to consider the effect of uplift of the foundations. Earthquakes may cause separation at the interface of footing and supporting ground. When a structure vibrated the contact interface between footing and soil is reduced. Because of the concentration of stress in the remaining contact area the soil beneath the footing can deform plastically. So, calculating the response of the building considering geometrical nonlinearity of the connection is required. Hope this information serves your purpose.
