Big air, broken parts, and a runaway with the local rc group
we tried out a different location this time, much better run-up to the jumps.
the backslash had a runaway, most importantly nobody got hurt.
the summit destroyed a rear differential.

This custom SCX10 beetle bug is keeping me busy for sure, every time I look at it I get more ideas, this time it's a full interior built out of an old deadbolt body. Lots of cutting and body work to retrofit this into a bug body but definitely worth it 😁👍.

I finally got out and did some real crawling with some guys and girls from a local crawler community, the beetle bug did really good and so did the summit. these people brought out some pretty cool rigs and we had a lot of fun.

Thank you very much, I try to upload once a week, but I only get to hang out with this group once a month. it's a get together hosted by our local hobby shop, they do multiple things a month but the only two that I have trucks for right now are crawling and bashing. They have an on-road race and drifting. Maybe one day I'll try it lol,
Yeah I know what you mean it's more fun with a pack of people. I also try to get out there once a week and post some videos myself. Looking forward to seeing what you post .

So are the spacers not needed on the front arms? I've just bought the same arms for mine and have got the spacer's either
I took my spacers out, I was having problems with one of the dog bones popping out and that was the recommended fix, I haven't had them on this truck in a long time. You are talking about the little aluminum spacers on the end of the front arms right?
@@mikesdungeon8398 yea that's correct, I'm pretty sure I have a v4 kraton and in the add that I bought the arms off stated I needed different suspension pins and the spacers, I was just curious if that were true
Mine is the v5 so I can't really confirm that. I do know there are some differences I just don't know what they all are, sorry
@@mikesdungeon8398 can confirm the v4 lower suspension pins ain't long enough so have order some, the exb and v5 must have longer pins from standard l, they are alot beefier tho 👌
Thanks for the great show 😁 i have a fireteam. I already put on RPM arms and titanium chassis along with stainless bottom plates. Metal hubs and diff cases along with titanium hinge pins and upgraded hinge pin blocks. I put on front and rear bumpers which make it such a hassle to tear apart 😉 i just got metal a-arms to try. Think I'm gonna wait until i break 1 of the RPM. Truck is super heavy 🤯 max6 combo. All metal drive train. All upgraded. Tool steel out drives. Scoarched roto lock motor mount. I just had a belted trencher tire explode on me 🤯 just cruising around the yard. No jumps or high speed or anything. 🤯 I put on the street fighters that i have. When it breaks, it's gonna be big 🤯😉😁🤣
Hi , have a dead rovan 29 cc engine could i change everything for Zenoah parts exept for the crankcase. Any help would be appreciated, many thanks and great video.
Sorry for the late reply. The engine I have is a 30.5, the 29 and below I do believe are different. Unfortunately I don't know enough about these engines to give you reliable information regarding the 29. The only reason I was able to build this engine was thanks to friends and people in Facebook groups giving me information.

Wife had surgery, then a freak accident that put her in hospital and rehab for months, leaving me to take care of the house and her 90-year-old mother. Got thru that, then a period of crushing depression, but MOSTLY better. Thanks for checking!

Why did you change from the original arrma arms? Didn't watch. Just wonder why?
So the first original versions of the V2 baja rey king and rhino had a awesome dynamite motor and esc. I have been bashing my first king very hard on a 16t pinion 2+years and only replaced 1 motor bearing with a ceramic. Don't even use a fan😂 . I now own 4 Baja Rey🤑😱 #1 upgrade on all bashers and especially this one are suspension travel limit straps made by HR. Man I wish someone told me when i bought mine😢. Next is a machined aluminum front gearbox and rear 3rd member (diff cover). Spray down your plastics with wd40 helps keep plastics from cracking -it's true😅

ddms shipping fees insane, also they make sure you get fucked in duties by putting duty stamps and making it a big red flag.

I actually already have one, I just have to do some maintenance on it. During my break it got severely overgrown with grass 😅.

The Traxxas bandit is tougher than I thought it would be.

Works fine with LCG chassis using front and rear guards, no binding.

I think its binding because you're using the rear gaurd for both front and rear. They have a version for front(6732) and rear(6733) guards.

Jang was the first to build a 1:8 buggy conversion out of a slash and give it the name "backslash"- and he originally also used a hcg chassis as at that time the lcg chassis did not exist yet.

Knk best hardware and stainless is not softer than steel its way harder maybe you have low quality hardware but if you have ever drilled stainless then drilled steel you would see stainless is much harder
Most screws we use on rcs are hardened steel, which is stronger than stainless

The problem I have with my backslash is flipping over on it's back when it wheelis. What's your solution? Small wheelie bar?
I'm hoping that the center diff will help prevent that a little.

Cool video mate,just about build mine from rovan 29cc up to 30.5cc with stuffer crank,head and crankcase.what kind of sealant did you use in bwtween the crankcase.
A gasket came with the kit I bought.
sounds great i got a rovan buggy and stuck a 6k clutch why folks like 10k still do not get it i guess its the fast launch but it does not move till its going high rpm to me when i try that was annoying in the turns all or nothing lol
Yea it's definitely not a truck you can go slow with. If you try you wind up burning up a clutch. But it launches way harder lol. You definitely have to learn to corner a little different with it but as somebody who just bashes I like it perfectly fine.

it's because of the idiotic "upgrade" mentality and lack of basic understanding what high rpm clutch does. All they see is big number and think it's better 😂 I also actively looked for low rpm clutch spring, like 5 or 6k can't remember it's much better. Probably stock zenoah.spring or some aftermarket. It's white. Once warmed starts moving almost immediately above idle

That's a tough question to answer lol I don't own an arrma 3s truck but I do see people posting about them on Facebook. The two common things I see on the 3s line is shredded diffs (the ring and pinion gears are plastic) and snapped chassis around the front of the truck. Both of these problems could be a common issue or it may just be people pushing the truck harder than it's designed to be pushed. As I said I don't own a 3s truck from Arma but I do own a Kraton 6s and that thing is a tank lol
