No Small Talk
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 6 ม.ค. 2024
When we meet beliefs contrary to our own, it creates a clash. Where there appears to be adversity, we believe there is actually diversity, which is beauty and power. In this podcast, we will explore ideals surrounding womanhood, politics, and society through the lens of the Christian walk. We seek to make sense of the world around us and navigate it in a way that honors God. Our perspectives are all meaningful, but arriving at Truth is the goal. We don't have "all the answers," but our hope is that our example of gracious engagement sparks fruitful conversations that positively impact ourselves and our communities. Ideas and perspectives shape the world around us, meaning conversations can change the world. NO small talk here!

Being Still - No Small Talk Episode 20
Embracing stillness and choosing rest isn’t always “easy” to do. That’s why scripture instructs us to make every effort to rest! But the concept of rest or taking a sabbath can often seem foreign to us in a fast-paced society where busyness and productivity are praised, and stillness is overlooked at best and judged at worst. Join us for a conversation about various forms of rest, the purpose behind God’s invitation to take it, alongside practical ways to incorporate it into our daily lives.

I Don't Know How She Does It... - No Small Talk Episode 19

When God saves you, He has work prepared for you to do! He saves you FOR good works, not BY good works. We are also promised to reap what we sow in due season, but the outcome and timing is entirely up to God, and may look different than what we imagine. When God blesses us, it’s typically done in a way that we know, without a doubt, it was only God and HE gets the glory, not us through our own...

Finding Unity in Division - No Small Talk Episode 1
My journey with politics and faith has made me realize Christians slapping political labels on themselves isn’t helping with the church divide either. Because we do see a lot of “Christians” become not so Christian when they hear about others political views. They start putting politics over Christs teachings.

This is so good! It is so needed in the body. Praise God for the work you and Ashley are doing!! My key takeaway is that we might not all agree on EVERYTHING but we can be united in love in worship to God and love for one another. I admit that my previous conclusion was that we all had to agree on the same thing. And your podcast helped me to see that's not necessarily the case. The Jews and Samaritans didn't necessarily agree on everything, but Jesus loved them, and they loved Him in return (except the pharisees lol). New subscriber here 👋🏾 and I can't wait for upcoming episodes!
