How did you make the triggers? How are they mounted on the drums? Does the sound respond realistic to the way you play the drums/bass drum? Like if you tap om a drum with the TD-12 module still play the tap sound and a diffrent sound when you hit it hard? I want to trigger my own kit but at the same time I want the sound to trigger at more levels as I know the TD-12 module can do on a e-kit. You know the-way-to-cheap e-kits triggers the same sound in diffrent volumens which doesn't Sound realistic at all.. No dynamics :-) I hope you understand what I mean. Good job :-)
Hey Casper! Most of the triggers I used are DIY. The only one that isn't is the one on the snare, but it came from a trigger manufacturer here in the Philippines. Unfortunately I can't compare these to the actual TD12 trigger pads because I haven't used them before. I went straight to just using these DIY pads. But in terms of triggering, the default settings on the module don't work well on my DIY triggers and on the snare trigger. It takes some adjusting and fine tuning. But eventually it works well enough that I don't adjust my playing as much (I normally play on an acoustic kit). In terms of the dynamics, the DIY triggers still pick up the full range of dynamics after adjusting the sensitivity and threshold settings in the module. The only one I can't really get to work properly is the positional sensing, so I just turn that off. Hope this helps!
