I don't grow giant pumpkin don't have the space but love to watch others. Question 💭 & maybe someone has asked this of others How do you keep your vines clear of squash bugs? Since these aren't presumably for eating do you just heavily spray pesticides all over or how do you protect them from bugs & animals to get them this size? Thanks & sorry about your 3rd pumpkin loss. As a gardener I know the feeling😢.

Friendly suggestion would be to cut that blossom off. It's going to not only dig into the fruit or possibly the blossom could get stressed and have a bigger issue. Patch and pumpkin look great, nice job

Looking great! Definitely fun when they are putting on big gains and you have to add more boards for them to grow onto. Last year, I had to add boards for both of my pumpkins. My 1970.5 was about 6 feet wide and 6 feet long.
