As always by Delimex - Werner & team. Great video with nice close-ups and wide shots, slowly building up suspense. They also provide you info on Set, actions, how to and most important used equipment and their specs. I am always looking forward to the next episode and woud definitely recommend to subscribe to their video channel. By the way, great cast too.
Super stuff! I was looking for exactly this. Thanks for making this video, very helpful...
How TLCI is different from CRI? Please make video on that.
I think you just saw a video that explains how it is different. Or is it not clear in some way?

With what camera was this shot?
Hello @DIYPro-iv4cy, thei was shot on the Panasonic Varicam LT. Not a full frame camera, but ideal to judge the sharpness of these lenses.
what's the diameter of the filter thread? if there is
In the page you cant buy
Hello Alejandro, You have to send a mail to buy to info@delimex.be
That "freak of nature" comment didn't ring well for me... :/ There are actual people born without a lens who can see UV down to 310nm.
BTW, Heist 2 4K footage is amazing!!! 🎥🎞⚔💎🗝
Do you have a version of this video on Vimeo. I would love to see a higher quality version than TH-cam's compressed videos. Also the camera seems to have a noise reduction feture that prevents it from producing the sharpest image. Can you comment on that? I have been using the camera for 5 years now and wanted to shoo a short narrative with it and have been testing it.
Unfortunately we don't have any other version uploaded. But I can assure you, this camera is far ahead of anything you might be able to get in the price range. We still use one today for the talking head pieces in our videos. Noise reduction always has a negative impact on exact resolution, but you can counteract that by finding the right amount of detail to produce these images.
Bv de 😢😢
Ok so how did you do that top to bottom shot when she was coming near the door while she was outside. Almost like from a fpv drone
Hi homefor-xs1kl, that shot was made with the camera on a crane - a 6 meter ABC Speedy crane, to be specific.
@@DELIMEX oh thank you for the info and reply . Your quality is top notch and hope you do great in TH-cam
@@homefor-xs1kl Thanks!
Great video, exactly what i was looking for!
Thanks! We aim to please :-)
This was a great production! Really curious with the lighting used and the camera. Also did you use the vmount smoke machine?
For lighting, a mix of panels and fresnels. Mostly the Lupo Ultrapanels (30 and 60) and the Lupo DayLEDs (mostly 1000 and 2000). And then some practicals or small lights from several other brands for details. We did use the V-mount smoke machine. The large open shots outside are with a regular smoke machine, as we needed a very high volume and filled in with the Vmount smoke machine. Closes and mediums outside are usually all with the PortaMyst V-mount smoke machine.
As always by Delimex. Nice review of a affordable but great lens. 👍 Surprising scenes make you hope there will be a sequel
Great video, very informative and to the point. Nice mascot too.
Thanks!
What does Rotten Tomatoes say?
That we're urgently in need of an entry for HEIST 1 and HEIST 2.
👍🏾👍🏾Another Masterpiece!!
Fantastic Work!!! Glad I found this series. Amazing lighting, and models too, hehe. 🤩
Beautiful, Excellent Work!!! Looks great in 2023, 2024, 2025 and forever. 😃
Looks pretty good! Thanks
CRI and TLCI concepts are very nicely explained and demonstrated. There can't be more simplified way to explain than this. Thank you.
Thanks!
Hey Delimit, quick question. Does these Nanomorphs allow for Varicam internal ND to be engaged? I heard the rear projection might block
Hi @AlexDerrick_DP, yes the ND can be engaged, no problem. we used the PL version on several ND settings, but that shouldn't be any different than the EF. It is not that specifically deep into the PL-mount so that story seems a bit wild anyway.
Nice one
Must be happy about this, but I hate this video
Thanks for the nice review! Does the nanomorph EF mount lens goes well with Metabones 0.71x MFT to EF speedbooster ? I am inclined to EF mount over MFT mount for versatility but not sure about the projected back element interfering with the speedbooster’s glass.
😂
Brilliant! Will you ever make a V powered Hazer?
Thank you. There are no plans for that. You can only have haze indoors, so the need for a V-mount powered hazer is lower (because indoors you usually have mains power). Otherwise just wait a bit and the smoke automatically turns into haze 🙂
This is a great explainer! I am surprised you don’t have more subscribers. I am one now.
Thanks, man. And thanks for subscribing!
game changer
We thought so too, that's why we designed and made it. And we don't use anything else anymore, I have to say. The sheer easiness to use, no cables, no special batteries that you need to have charged, no refilling fluid every few minutes, etc - that does it.
Wow.....just wow.....scientist, eh? Well at least you got to show off your fuckpillow......But seriously, you dive headlong into complex topics right after dragging ass on half inked pads or some shit....Bruh....No amount of sycophantic comments are going to fix a poorly executed video.....just...wow......
This is so good an in depth! Thank you!!
Thank you
1300€ for the PL/EF? I cannot find it anywhere under 1950€, can someone provide a link?
Hello Pete, I'm sorry for the confusion, but at the time we made this review that was the price that was expected. Since they have ben out, the price has gone up somewhat indeed. Anyhow, please do contact us at info@delimex.be, our price is indeed lower than that (and we can ship).
Do you think it can work with GH6 with a PL adapter? There are an m43 mount option but I wish to have in PL
Yes, it will work with a GH6 and a PL-adapter.
Why would it be hard to make all LEDs with high CRIs? is it a manufacturing issue? What about the actual component changes?
Just designing a light that would score high on the CRI or TLCI scale is one thing, but you'd need a good output as a manufacturer to deliver a performant light. So changing out the ingredients just to hit a high CRI/TLCI will not be enough as that might effect efficiency negatively. Or price might also be affected. So all in all, it is more the trade-off than a manufacturing issue.
@@DELIMEX yes. It's just interesting that my 1200 watt LED light which was made for film costs 3000 but a 1200 watt light that is used to illuminate a sports field is only 700 dollars with a cri of 75
@@davida5296 Yes, that would be one of the reasons. Also, any product specifically for the cinematography sector will be priced high because it is a relatively low production volume. So you're always paying a high premium for the enclosure, operating parts etc. If these manufacturers sold the volumes that mobile phone manufacturers do, the prices would be a lot lower.
Hey man, do you need to buy an EF adapter from Laowa or does the lens come with it?
EF mount is included with the PL versions.
Great review thank you!
Like & subs for the model =)

This song is so nice. I first came across this vid 6 years ago not long after I'd started my TV & Film course at uni and it still pops into my head every now and then.
Thanks man, always nice to hear.
I see a rather familiar person operating it . And yes, it does exactly what is being explained in the video.
Yep, it is :-). But you beta tested the product, so you should know.
Any chance of getting one to test out?
get in touch with info@delimex.be for that.
Very cool. What kind of noise does this unit make?
Hello Natrix, The machine does make some noise, but not too loud. It's difficult to describe. If you use it near the camera or microphone, as with all smoke machines, you won't be able to use the sound. If you use it on a large set or outside, it shouldn't be audible in other noises.

Anamorphic in S35 sensor has no sense for me, also it need to cut the frame
I suppose you mean anamorphic on a 16/9 or 17/6 sensor? Anamorphic on a 16/9 sensor should be 1.33x anamorphic, but the effect (especially the elliptical shape of the bokey) would be less pronounced. 1.5x anamorphic is a compromise (where you have to crop a bit). But there are not that many cameras out there that do not have a 16/9 shape sensor, so it is handy solution to work truly anamorphic.
@@DELIMEX anamorphic is ok in a taller sensor as Alexa open gate or full frame. This lens doen't cover these sensor.
@@sixsoxsex1 Not everyone wants to work with an Alexa 4/3. Especially in this price range of lenses, I think most people can't either. And that's on a 4/3 version only (And these lenses would cover that due to their circular image coverage, only the frame wouldn't be wide enough). On the 16/9 it does not make a difference if you shoot Alexa or not for the height of your sensor. Besides, a taller sensor (and less wide) makes sense for 2x anamorphics. That's why 1.5x anamorphics exist. You maintain the full height of your S35 sensor. Too bad you have to crop the sides a little bit though, but that's the compromise for more "anamorphic look" compared to a 1.33x squeeze factor. So, it does make sense - it's just that everybody's tastes are a little different.
Th
Tu
For some reason, i thought they were 1.33x squeeze?
no, 1.5 squeeze. 1.33x would be even handier on a 16/9 or 17/9 aspect sensor, but the look would be less pronounced anamorphic.
Nicely explained. Looks like a great lens. Hope to be able to test it one day 👌
Thanks, you surely will :-)
Best Video. Thanks
