Same injury 11 months ago trying to ride again but very nervous. Thanks for the video!
How long after you dislocated your elbow did you get ba k ok your bike?
I still own one of these bikes. Hands down best bike iv ever owned never got on well with the air forks I have ohlins forks on it now the counter balance shaft is the best thing about these bikes
Is it okay holding the clutch for too long?
With all due respect i have been building and tunning two stroke engines for mor than 60 years and I take exception with your explanation. The power valve in any two stroke is a variable timing exhaust valve. When the valve is closed the engine preforms more like an enduro with higher compression and a longer power stroke. when the valve opens the compression is lessened and we move more exhaust out which creates more revs. You want high compression for torque and less so the engine can rev. In the old days you would widen and raise the exhaust port to gain horsepower, but we would loose bottom end torque. The power valve gave us the best of both worlds which we didn't think was possible at the time.
What makes the exhaust valve open is what I wanna know, is it pressure in the engine?
I own this same exact snow mobile the guy is riding right now 0:35
thank you, super helpful!
Ah shit!
I have an 18 tx 300 aswel best bike ever have you still got yours
How did the TE do in desert whoops?
oo
very awesome video good job man
Dude thanks from an old newbie!
I go with TE
My KTM 150 exc power valve opens at about 18000 rpm so ima unscrew it a bit yO
Beck preshure ? Wtf hahahah
Are these good for the dunes
Now every1 is going 2 go think there mechanics & mess up there bikes
Did it make it up Choke Cherry?
Tq for sharing good info
This is awesome 👍👍
So basically How I can adjust it if I want to use the KTM 300 two-stroke for the street do I do I have to bring it out or in
did the Polaris atv clutch fit alright?
Been searching for the right training steps in improving balance! THIS IS IT! Thank you!
I'm gonna be in this race. if your first how do you know where to go?
Great video. I am going to work on these skills.
Cool! My son and I are going to do this race in February.
Hi am 45 years old, with 10 hours of dirt bike riding ( my first bike ever), i do struggle with clutch control, are these drills exectly what i should practice to gain control? How much time more or less do i have to put on each one of them. Regards Kobi
Is this west Texas, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah? Good tips though
Those Beta look good been wanting one. I need to replace my old sand bike though first (14 250XC). Which do you think would did a better job in Sand your 18 FX350 or the 20 TX300i ?
I havent had a paddle on my 2 stroke yet but I do really like the 4 strokes in the sand
@@tspmoto1134 ok thanks. I had a 450rmz & kx250f before for sand 450 was a lot of power & weight. 250 got too hot. 250xc 2 stroke (non-tpi) was just about right everywhere but suspension. Heard the new TPI 2-strokes got hot so i was worried there but they are counter ballenced & new suspension is fantastic in the woods. Figured the 350 4 stroke would be a perfect second if nothing else.
Do you recall what your squish measurement was after you cut the head. The reason I ask is I am wondering how tight to go on these air-cooled motors. I just measured it stock and it was 114 thou. I was pretty surprised by this
I never measured the squish, I just sent it! I think I took off .003'' I had to last a 3 hour race still. I havent had any det issues
We have 100 mile race in Saskatchewan I am looking to run this winter. Had my first test and tune today. Snow jet with a gp 292 engine!
I have one of those at work, It is hella fast. 292 free air with cdi ignition. its an old ice oval sled
@@tspmoto1134 hey I wanted to ask what the best mile per hour you got out of that Yamaha. I have been doing some testing this winter and I am at about 46 mph all in holding it wide open forever haha
Where is this located ?
Pinedale WY, wyoming range
Thanks for sharing
There are some really fast amateur riders at these races. Don't get stuck behind the herd, it is a race. Remember to pass. I feel you chose the correct class.
Thoughts on the fast way handguards?
Whats the stock preload for Ktm/husq 300 17 carb?
the screw is set at about 1/8 in or so it starts to open at 5500 rpm
How’s the long term reliability of the 19’ 850. I’m looking at an 18’ 800 and a 19’ 850. What do you think?
overall the 850 holds up pretty good. Early on there were issues with the PTO crank bearing sliding over and rubbing the crank and the internal oil check valve plugging causing the center oil line to pop off. It wasn't extremely common. However I do like the 850 engine better. 2020 850s have updated parts
on your husky 2016 te300 with one is mode one? I got one that was used a few days ago
do you mean the map switch modes? 1 is fast and 2 is slow.
hey, man! The beginner chooses a dirtbike... what do you think at the stage of choosing a dirtbike, is it important to pay attention to the height of the motorcycle? Is it important that two feet can stand on the ground? or is it enough to stand on one foot on tiptoe? What is correct?
Hey! If you are starting as an adult I would suggest getting a full size bike with a smaller engine like 250 4 stoke or 125 2 stroke. enduro bikes are usually a bit easier to learn on than a motocross race bike. I am 5 1/2 feet tall (167cm) and I can tip toe with my normal bike setup. I use alot of balance with my feet on the pegs.
@@tspmoto1134 Thank you a lot!
Great video! Thank you a lot!!!!I recently started to get involved in enduro and on my channel I tell about the progress of my zero-level endurist. I am always ready for criticism and advice. I mentioned your channel in my video and left a link. Let all beginners, like me watch and learn. And I made language translation 01 min 23 sec, then 13 min 46 sec, and 15 min 47 sec. th-cam.com/video/XkA6fPSI08E/w-d-xo.html/
thank you for your videos. Many people only talk about the suspension settings on each bike. I have a question. is it important that both feets reach the ground when you are sitting on a bike? is it important to adjust the height of the bike to your height, so that both feets touch the ground?
Cool video!
Hi, thank you for your channel. Is technique the same for 4t bike?
Yep
very very useful and thank you
please forget that fucking "backpressure" word... power valves partially close the exhaust channel to simulate a shorter exhaust opening (in crankshaft degrees), because at low rpm's there is not much exhaust gas volume that needs to be evacuated, this effectively increases the power stroke some 10-20° longer so each and every combustion process has more time to push the piston down. that's why this gives you more power in low-midrange.
Awesome video!
☝️
Cool learning, I ride road 43 years, now at 60 I decided to go off-road and learn from your tips thank you for the great videos
You should do more of these videos. I do slow figure 8 religiously but will be adding a couple guide posts and a log now to add difficulty.
