No Clothes? No Problem! Beach Bummin' in Martinique...
This week we're adventuring in Martinique! Join us as we stumble upon Petite Anse des Salines - a stunning beach on Martinique's southern coast where the dress code seems to be pretty lax 😂🍑

My notion of sailing provisions is generally dense, compact and calorie dense food to save space. heavy is ok just let it be compact to save space. It’s not like backpacking food which must be light. If I was preparing for a trip I would probably choose three of four staple foods that are cheap to provide most of my macros. Then I’d get a bunch of miscellaneous and nutritious foods to add to meals and to snack on to provide variety. Speaking of food
Great Video. 👍 🙂
I love Carriacou! Did you stop at Paradise Beach Club? Been there 3x. Going back next October. I hope all who call the island home are safe and on the rebuilding rebound!
Hats off to that diving woman, she is so brave for doing that
An utterly soul destroying discovery. However, you worked fantastically together as a team and overcame every element stacked against you! Exceptional job incredibly well executed - if nothing else that certainly deserves another follow/subscriber. My last boat, I had it so much easier - a fully encapsulated ballast!! 😊
Thank you for your kind words. We felt pretty sorry for ourselves for a couple of days but we are fortunate enough to be surrounded by some real experts. They walked us through the job and in the end its proven to be an invaluable experience!
Your carefree spirit and ability to enjoy life's simple pleasures are truly inspiring! You bring such joy and spontaneity to every adventure, making even the most ordinary moments feel extraordinary. And I'm Floating Village Life.
Wow, thank you!
You are truly stunning and incredibly beautiful🥰🥰

Fully emotionally attached to Ernesto
It was hard to let him go 😭
❤❤❤❤
Thanks for the love!
That beaten down red tug is located off the course of Tyrell bay Carriacou. Nice Island and great people 🏝
Exactly right! One of our favorite islands to visit
This was awesome and your friends seem great. I can't believe you guys don't have way more subscribers 🤯
Aw man appreciate it! Working on coming out with more soon!
Well done. I used to be able to do that, but unfortunately many years ago.
calls it off-grid living when he provisions his boat regularly.
Where did you see them hook up to the electrical grid? Or do you not know the meaning of off-grid?
Off the connection to the power grid.
@@Styxblade so my understanding of off-grid is total autarky(self-sufficency) and your understanding is only to produce electricity yourself
@@geroldglocker5276 But that is something entirely different. You can't go around calling a banana for an apple, because you chose to interpret it as such.
@@Styxblade no they are used interchangable in the english language en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Off-the-grid
She’s SO cute!!!
🐶 🐶 🐶
You can tell how new they are to sailing. This is hilarious.
How bout u try an help intended of clown 🤡
Can I ask how much for the boat? Love the channel thanks
a modern radar like a H20+ at night is waaaay more effective than visual light acquisition and will also light up dark/non lit objects. I have tested my radar against a single man in a wooden dugout canoe ....still spots them. In very rough seas it is less effective but so is visual for the same reason. The modern radars not only plot objects but also track and show speed, bearing, and CPA just like AIS.
Getting a radar is next up on the list of upgrades to the boat. Very cool to hear that the new ones will do CPA and target tracking!
you censor your words like you live in North Korea
Well, teach that to the chinese coast guards
Oh ship!!! 🚢
Gyatt
Oh your french accent is really great! Est-ce que t'est française? (Et aussi putain je peut pas retenir ma respiration 😅)
Merci! Oui je suis franco-américaine! Breath holding is quite challenging at first but you can get a lot better with practice!
have a good one over there i miss it over there did you check out any of the eating spots?
Not as many as we wanted to! We had to leave as soon as restaurant week was beginning 😭 Next time!
@@sailinglapero i understand smooth saling
i hope u enjoy our 356 beaches
Thank you! We have been twice now and we feel like we’ve barely scratched the surface. Such a beautiful island you have
Hi
Giant cement block ✅
Why always exaggerate
Happy that you were here. My neighbourhood.
No way!! I didn’t know dogs could live on boats 😮
I used to do the big ear waxed curled stash, thinking of doing it again. it's easy that it looks.
How long between cleans?
Funnily enough it really depends on the anchorage. We’ve noticed different anchorages will grow fouling at different rates. Even weirder than that is that the color and consistency of the fouling changes from anchorage to anchorage. In this case we had left our dinghy in the water for a week while visiting relatives
Damn I thought you'd get the majority of Gross stuff by dragging your dingy across the sand...
Can't believe you left it that long
Would you believe it only took a week? Fouling in this anchorage develops crazy fast!
Dude that a complete ecosystem 😂😂 Do it more often safe some fuel that's better for mother earth and your wallet Win win 🤙🏻 🇳🇱🏴☠️
You are 100% right - we usually don’t leave it too too long but we were visiting relatives so we let things slide a bit 😬
Always nice . You ve just learned something yourself yet you are teaching
Tiny tear, big problem 😮
😂😂😂
How you guys loving it in Antigua?
Antigua is sweet! So many beaches and anchorages to choose from
Need some Bindi swim fetch footage/sailing dog content. I would love a sailing dog instagram.
It is one thousand percent in the works 😊 Just gotta figure out how to strap a go-pro to Bindi's harness to get that first-person view for fetch!
Nao Trinidad is currently in St Augustine, FL! Nice to see some interior shots.
Amazing - we were so lucky to catch them when they were in Fort-de-France!
I didn’t even know sail races were a thing 😮
⚓️⚓️⚓️
👏👏
I need to learn how to do this 😮
I adapt that good weather sailing rule to my solar e-bike adventures, thank you! No point in taking a risk when your on your own.
Absolutely! One of our mentors once told us, "If I meet it out there, fine. But we don't go looking for bad weather"
Your video was like one long carnival. Great job. Keep having fun and stay safe.
Will do! Thank you for watching.
Great video... At 4.40 with you on a starboard reach, you can see a shroud or side stay turnbuckle flapping around. Yup, you have a loose rig... Did the engine hydraulic with sea water... It happens... Most things can be fixed... Well done for getting going again...
Thank you! You're exactly right on both diagnoses. We had just re-rigged the boat and our rigger warned us that it would need a re-tune in the near future... but by Guadeloupe we had totally forgotten about that (our fault). With the engine, we ended up re-running our exhaust hose plus adding an anti-siphon valve to our raw-water intake. Thankfully the problem hasn't happened since. We appreciate your encouragement. It's been a humbling journey with many lessons to learn
@@sailinglapero Cruising is like that... Joyful and humbling. When it goes right, it's amazing. When it goes wrong it can be terrifying...
A riveting watch guys! Love the slightly longer format with just boat life clips! More please! (Note - that’s the Commonwealth of Dominica for those of you that might confuse it with the other Dominica)
Thank you, Al! Appreciate the feedback - we've got a lot more sailing footage coming your way so stay tuned!
SUBSCRIBED!!! Excellent video holy cow!! 😊
Thank you so much. Thrilled to have you here!
Finally!! ❤️❤️ Can’t wait to see your take on Martinique
Coming soon! 😊
