That's spectacular, my only encounter was in a National forest, and saw one doing a Kookaburra...far far better than a Kookaburra?.....the sound was just magical, these guys have such a wide vocal range they simply hit notes other birds carn't , magicians of the animal world
That gorgeous variety is called a Superb Lyrebird, due to the tail feathers shaped like a Lyre musical instrument. What an amazing creature! Australia's Most Talented should BE so lucky. I wonder if he could sing opera, if he heard it? I would hazard a YES.
It is looking for food from the man. Counting the man so well in a lovely way. And sir, you were so lucky in meeting the bird, so close. Many Australians have never experienced so close to a Lyra birds. 😂❤
Stunning, absolutely stunning!. Going by the way the bird 'shimmers and shakes' is tail feathers at towards the end of his display, this is most certainly a 'Mating Display', VERY rare!. Further, the Male's continuing actions would seem, at least to me, that somehow, he was VERY attracted/impressed with you, colours or pheremones (smell)?. Never seen anything like this in my 73 years of being an Australian male!.
This bird wants to prove that I am the best. Actually the lyre bird is an expert bird. He can copy different kind of sounds. He can follow baby crying, sound of ambulance and many kind of sounds.
It sounds like a car alarm and then he’s using the remote to switch it off ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
💖🙏😊
Very unusual to get so close to a lyrbird. Must be his aftershave!
Awesome 🕊️ Bird. Thanks for your video
You Australians have the coolest talking birds.
only a northen lad would say " i`ve never had anything like this happen to me before , have you ?" what an encounter you lucky man. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He's waiting for a reward. The bird needs a little hat for people to drop in little treats.
Nice to know printers now come with legs.
Should we be alarmed by the amount of laser gun battles going on the Australian outback?
It's very beautiful: men and Lyrebird!
I see beatbox potential 💀💀💀
Definitely
Where is this?
Hi it’s Healesville Sanctuary. Glen Eadie Avenue Healesville, Victoria 3777, Australia
Imitating Kookaburra's, Blackbirds, Wattlebirds, Magpies, Currawongs...........nothing they can't do.
I would visit Australia just to see this bird!
I think this Beautiful bird was born in the early 1980's and was brought up playing space invaders and the grew up and learnt more nice sounds.

Magnifique nature !!! Que ses œuvres sont diverses et variées !
That's one of the coolest things I've ever witnessed wow thanks for sharing that with the world....
So glad you liked it!
The bird does this when wants to mate. WAtch out my guy, you be laying english poached eggs soon 🥚
One theory is birds identify their territory in 3d by emulating all sounds typical of that territory.
So i definitely heard currawong , magpie, kookaburra and chicken squawk, maybe one or two other birds perhaps blackbird too .
😂🥇
I would love to have a male and female.
Yes: I am a camera :)
Someone needs to bring a recording of bird songs from overseas and play it to the Lyrebird and see it learn new songs !!!!
Thats a fantastic idea!

That bird is reminding this guy of their last video game battle...and the bird won.
He got the full works. Wow.

Laser sound is their natural call
I wonder if it will sing classical music if that’s what you play on loud speakers.
@HDApex That would be amazing

Think that Lyrebird is called "Chook" by the keeper.
Didn’t know that the lyrebird is called Chook, thank you for letting me know!
That looks 👀 like Healsville Sanctuary and "Chook" the Lyrebird.
Hi, yes it is Healsville.
