I'm using a King Bolen. What I might recommend is to look at these tools as more of a relativistic test. So I tested new brake fluid and it gave me a couple of bars (maybe about 0.5%) then I tested fluid from the wheel furthest from the master (right rear in my case) and it read 2-2.5%. This is on Ram 2500 that was flushed eight years ago. In this case the tool definitely identified that there was moisture in the fluid. I also want to mention that testing at the master cylinder does not accurately reflect the moisture level at the brake caliper/drum. There is no way that the moisture level is going to equalize through a 10-15 ft span of 3/16" brake line.

Kinda goes without saying but i have found the driver to be the biggest mod!! ill bet your now-experienced self could take that stock c4 (assuming same tires on both) around very similarly excepting engine hp mods. cheers and great comparison vids as always. i like the way u do it. get much track time this year?

Definitely check bolts in the rear every so often, my C4 has been autocrossed & tracked and had a few bolts finger loose which caused one rear wheel camber to change in corners. When re-torquing everything I found a few more bolts that needed 1/4 or more of a turn to get to spec.

When you feel something wrong, at worst - get off the track's driving line, better yet, exit the track into the pits at your earliest opportunity and give your car a good looking over. Chances are you can save yourself and others on the track with you, a bad day. Seriously, your car is tell you something, and your estate enough to feel it and recognize it. Listen to you car, and protect it, yourself, and the others on the track with you. I like the way the car does on the track though.

That's b*******! I've never seen a Corvette on my life that the front tires were a positive camber. Just look at the specs that Corvette gives for alignment and you will not see a positive camber on any. PERIOD ¿`_

Nice driving, you are getting this quite technical track figured out, I switched from my red 93 Camaro street and track car to my black 93 track only car, that has been a work in progress, while tracking it, with the stock LT1 my best time was a 1.29 also, put the new 383 in it I built for it over the winter, the last 2 weekends of September this year once I got things dialed in I ran some laps in the mid 1.24 range, that was with the tires shedding apart, I never thought me or the car could possibly turn those kind of times, if you ever decide you want to build a stroker, talk to me at the track or something, I've been to every 3 Balls Grattan event since 2013, I can't believe I have not seen you.

Positive 1 degree front camber is NOT factory spec, never was, it is that way because yours is set wrong or you measured it wrong.

Pure distilled water does not conduct electricity. This is why you can have Christmas lights and extension cords out in the rain and snow with few short circuits. I decided to do a test. Sure enough I put the probes in the (100%) distilled water and it said 0% water! I then tried tap water and it was above the 4% scale max. The moisture that gets into brake fluid from the air would technically be distilled water. However all the metal ions from the lines and other contaminants would quickly make the water conduct and give a reading on the meters. So not only the amount of water but the dissolved ion concentration will affect the readings. Still it gives you an idea how old/contaminated your fluid is.

when you changed out your dual mass fly wheel for the aluminum fly wheel, did you pick up a fork in a blender type rattle under low load acceleration or at idle?

Willie, what do C4 racers do w/ the parking brake when installing a cage and race seat? Eliminate it completely? Do you even need it? Front and rear brakes should function independently if either fails?
