I don't understand how people get themselves into that for Christmas you have a whole year where there are a lot of specials where you can buy things for $1 $5 $10 and you can wrap those up in Christmas you don't need to get people expensive gifts to show them you love them and you don't need to change your whole house to enjoy holidays some people are too much to realistic instead of focusing of the reality that is God's love and mercy towards us or the love and time spend with family you are not guaranteed that you will make it back home today and people don't understand that everything we have on earth is bored we are not meant to be here on earth The Bible tells us to make heavenly treasures not treasures here on earth also save make a budget for Christmas people also don't save in life and you should be putting away a hundred to $50 a month not for Christmas but in general you never know when you have an emergency in your home your car can break down your furnace can break your windows something life the Bible says those who are wise will work and put away money and spread their wealth in different places so we need to listen to the Bible as well we will not have that if we do listen to the Bible

Bro I’m excuse me it’s not about the presents underneath the Christmas tree it’s about the family and the love and the smiles it brings to give some people can’t afford to have Christmas but just remember in your heart you’re making someone feel good while doing it❤❤❤

I think people forget you don’t have to go in debt. You get to decide if you’ll give gifts. You decide what Christmas means to you. I understand that we’ve been trained that this is something we are required to do. That being said, if you know your going to spend, why not plan for it, after all you have 365 days or so to do so. You could even pick up items periodically during the year, just watch for sales. I remember when I was a child they had Christmas savings accounts. You put into it every week so when the time came to purchase gifts, you were all set. Do that and if you decide you’re not buying gifts, well that’s on you but you’ll still have the money.

On top of that, why are you solely giving credit to some person that is not real, and doesn’t look like us, and is not really the source of the these gifts. I took one picture with Santa in my life, I was 4; I asked Santa was he gonna leave gifts at my house. He said yeah as long as you continue to be a good boy. I then knew he wasn’t real because me and mom lived in 2 bedroom apartment with no chimney in a tough neighborhood. I opened my gifts on Christmas and said “thanks mom, I mean Santa.” Her mouth dropped open, she said “what are you talking about”. I let her know that Santa said he was going to come to the house, and leave my gifts, but we didn’t have a house. Also if he’s watching me all year, why do have make a list and then put my address on it. Plus I knew she was working an extra job to make extra dollars to make my Christmas come true. Moms and dads are the real Santa, let’s stop giving St. Nick our money, our love, our adoration, and all the credit. Thank God, and thank the parents.

You shouldn't be spending money you dont have. You are exactly right. This also applies to those new clothes that you put on your card and that new car you finance instead of paying cash for the car you can afford. Be sure the same thought process applies to you that you apply to your kids.
