If we don't go to church, then we are forsaking the assembly of ourselves as the manner of the world, therefore we are in direct rebellion against an Apostolic commandment, which means we are in direct violation of the Word of God and are probably not truly in Christ. Find a Bible believing, Bible preaching, Christ following church.

One fundamental reason I do not go to church is that I find it arduous to believe in the existence of God. It just does not make sense at all, in fact i find it ridiculous and stupid. Hence I'm an Atheist.

You don't go to church because you love your sin. Period. You can word salad excuses all day long.

You ever wonder why this stuff doesn’t add up? Well, it’s because it doesn’t add up. Black folks need to study the history of religion, and I don’t mean just Christianity. Religion started thousands of years before Christianity. And what you find is the same tropes passed down through the centuries and duplicated in different versions across many regions. The Epic of Gilgamesh is the almost identical flood story before the Bible’s version. Circumcision, blood sacrifice, resurrection, half-man half-deity, rising from the dead, walking on water, turning water into wine, did not originate with Christianity. In fact, the Old Testament didn’t have a hell to go to, which is why some Jews don’t teach hell. Hell evolved with Christianity. In fact, Christianity evolved from Greco Roman philosophies, Zoroastrian religion and others within the region. No persons were in a vacuum, this was evolution. Black folks need to study the scholarship on these subjects. I would start with Bart D Ehrman for the New Testament and Joel S Baden for the Old Testament. Happy research!

Knowledge can be attained through reading of books and conversations wisdom is a form of discernment and being able to apply itboth are key factors but wisdom is earned through life if knowledge is applied and wisdom is gained.

We wonder why schools are a mess...God was taken out of schools. We wonder why families are a mess...men were remived from the families. And the ones left don't respect God, aren't hungry for a relaionahip with Gof and make a lot of excuses to not attend a bible teaching church. They aee their wives and girlfriends attending, being active, praying, studying thr Bible, giving to the poor and praying for the sick, helping young people and STILL will give excuses to why they won't attend. Perhaps because the church wont rationalize their lifestyle, and will speak to demonic activity that they don't want to be delivered from. Kind of hard to sit in church with your wife when you're cheating on her with the lady sitting next to her in the pew.

Black men still don't get a pass on this one.Most were confused about religion anyway.Not truly understanding that church is a place where your spirit must lay.A heartbeat that echoes the many of those like you.Low income can become big income. The majority of this pagan church is the majority of women because it's a sign that it's not of the word but pagan. As the word says, man was not deceived by satan, but the woman was. Man was beguiled through woman, because she's the weakest vessel. That's why we have to read and study the gospel, and when you find the truth, don't let the false prophet and teachers steal it from your heart. Like the parable of the seeds planted

Because these pagan churches are not teaching the truth of the word of God. Instead it's a scheme to get your money. It's satanic because paying tithes and offering puts you back under the law. We're not under the law we are under faith and grace.. An unrighteous people observer the law. The word says if you observe the law then it's nothing that Christ can do for you. And satan marks you with the building of temples and churches instead of the temple in your heart, where the Lord dwells.

I dont go to church because religion is not real. With christianity, the bible has a 6000 year old universe and stories that are proven to never have happened, But you just take it on faith. There is nothing about the large meteor strike that took out most of the life on earth but we have a flood story 4300 years ago during a time we know several civilizations recorded their history. This includes the Egyptians with over 5000 years of history and who also didnt recorded a large exodus and. loss of their army.

Jakes closed the door for me: He had this habit of turning his back on the congregation while he was preaching... THAT IS A SURE SIGN OF DISRESPECT!

Men need the truth, they need to hear a true presentation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I don’t like the term (Black Church) but I do understand what U mean. The true Church is made up of all born again believers in Jesus Christ no matter what your ethnicity may be. Many of our (Black Churches) are nothing more than entertainment centers rather than places of true worship. We have everything from Rap Music, people dancing in the isles as if they were at the club Saturday night, and much more craziness that should not take place in the local Church. There is so much dishonesty in the local church. Pastors stealing money, or deep moral issues like having affairs with woman while married and so much more. Black men if you have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ keep your mind and heart on Him and He will direct your path to a healthy well balanced Bible Believing Church.

Because men can detect that pimp energy from a mile away. Women can't because they're attracted to it and enticed by it. As long as he comes off as masculine, says the right things to make them feel good they'll open their pockectbooks and their legs.

Carnal minded people don't understand spiritual things that's why these men are saying what they are. Yes, in the church these things do exist what they are saying. But. 😅 the title says "why they don't go to church." That is not a reason not to go to church. When Jesus comes in your heart your thinking will be or should be different. It's not about the people it's about the Lord. Oh yea, clarification. "Come as you are " means your spiritual condition and not your apparel. I don’t know any single straight black men that go to church.

The prosperity doctrine and the money hungry preachers is not of God. So just because many are using Jesus name to promote their false teachings and false actions doesn’t give you, me or anyone an excuse not to follow Jesus who is “the way the truth and the life.” When we stand before God are we going to say well they were false teachers, prophets and doctrines in the church that’s why I didn’t follow Jesus? No, each of us have a responsibility and a choice to follow Christ not the ways of man or false prophets who has distorted the doctrines of the Bible. If we do go to a church, be sure to attend a church that is biblical based. We must repent and seek and build a relationship with Jesus. Ask God to fool us with his Holy Spirit and to guide us into a righteous path.

Well my special needs sister gave the pastor $10.000 from my mother's bank account - THEY NEW MY 63 YEARS OLD SISTER HAVE NEVER HAD A JOB IN HER LIFE TIME - THE MEMBERSHIP CAME TO ME AND TOLD ME WHAT HAD HAPPENED - MY MOTHER WAS 87 YEARS OLD - THE CHURCH WOULD NOT GIVE THE MONEY BACK - BETTER THAN THAT A DEACON IN THE CHURCH WAS FUCKING MY WIFE AND THEN INVITED ME TO A BBQ AT HIS HOUSE - I'M UPSET/ANGRY BUT I WILL NOT PUT MY HANDS TO THAT PLOW FOR YOU GO GETTERS MAKE SURE THE ROWS ARE STRAIGHT (FROM MY GRANDDADDY).

I wonder how many of the brothers have been to church with their father or grew up seeing their fathers go to church. I ask because I notice that In religions like Judaism and Islam where men are highly involved and are dominant they have a higher rate of men and boys attending. Could the absence of a father role model as a church attendee be a factor at play in black men not going to church.

One main thing is that church needs to be intentional with time.

Many women in church have husbands that just don't attend. Feminism, baby mamas, homosexuality, music is different. They rather watch football too.

Black men will come to church if the pastor's sermons are to put down black women. Just look at the many podcast like Kevin Samuels and others whose platform degraded black women. They had so many male followers. Another way is to allow black men to commit adultery and fornicate. Black men don't want to be disciplined about sex. So if the church relaxed more you will see these men fill the churches. Now everything I said goes against God's word which I'm not for. Black men want to be able to do what they want to do in the churches and no man nor woman should tell them what to do regardless if it's right. Just don't hold them accountable and let them run things you will fill the churches with black men.

Excuses. The pastor does not have a heaven or hell to put you in. If there are some good pastors, why not go to those pastors churches? Because you don’t want to. There is always and I mean always an excuse from this specific group of men. I know men who live down the street from their kids but they still don’t ever see their kids. Always an excuse. If a community is only as strong as families and communities the men in particular, that explains the horribly weak state of the black community.
