BUT he shot Death! .....and Death let him off? "It was not you I came for" - what does he mean? I have now watched this multiple times, and still cannot fathom what he means...... "Reap what you sow" ...... sins of the father?

Great short story…but I didn’t understand it, especially the ending.

Reversal. Reality flip or is it? Talk about someone, specifically your patient getting into your head? Nightmarish scenarios. At the end of this film you're not really sure of what is reality and what is not. Did he imagine he killed his wife or did he actually kill his wife? I thank you my Heavenly Father in the name of Yeshua is my Savior that this kind of scenario should never ever happen to me or anyone else. Amen. I've seen this scenario cinematically in Sci-Fi before but never in such a murderous portent. Cinematically challenging. + Rich + _____ ✝️ _____

I am extremely impressed with the work of Jon James Smith. Absolutely meticulous in every and all aspects of his Film skills and niche Noir understanding. Outstanding delivery in every way. Mr. Smith does not disappoint. From beginning to end the acting and screenplay/ cinematography is direct and spot on. I appreciate the skill level associated with the production and formula. Oh yes, I was entertained. I did realize this was an 'Inside Job' on the part of his wife. I will wonder what Mr. Smith could do with an original full length Motion Picture. Thank you, ladies and gentlemen for this excellent short film offering. I do hope there can and will be more Short Films to enjoy as the expertise is impressive. + Richard + _____ ✝️ _____

Awesome! Finally something with suspense, tension and uncertainty that has an actual story that was engaging and creepy as hell! So sick of the usual gory, bloody, slasher/porn version of horror. This is better than a lot of the full length movies I've seen lately. Great actors too! Keep up the good work!

Shifty lighting is not the key to suspense. Solid acting, good writing, terrible lighting.

Good grief, this was amazing. The sound design to the soundtrack and the seem less acting from everyone to death’s creaking bones and the dragging of the sythe was masterful!!

What crap.

One of the very best depictions of Death on film , ever ! A philosophical rumination worthy of Horatio ! The actors - splendid performances ! Voiceover of Death - like a shaman beating his drum ! Lighting - the very background of suspense ! Direction - steady as she goes, Cap'n ! I've seen this film twice, and I'm sure I'll see it many more times. It's also a morality tale , and Jon , I will definitely try to be a good boy and stay on the nice side of 'he who scrapes metal' ! All the best !

This was stunning. So well shot, very creepy, amazing sound and design and really makes you think. This could make an incredible feature film. You have talent in both writing and directing. Keep up the amazing work.

Nightbreed endings used at opening. "Save me from my enemies" ❤ Ok just finished an the suprise awaiting us all omg thats hardcore! Seriously made me think how ive done ppl when young even now tryng be decent. Just great film qn writing ❤
