มุมมอง 6018 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
This little international harvester generator popped up on marketplace and I decided to gamble a little bit

Talking about what I've been doing again
That should be a beast , made to work 24 hrs a day 7 days a week ! I do not miss running Turret lathes ! 👍
1/2-In plate when stiffing that floor up underneath the equipment just under the equipment
The rotary phase converters will be perfectly fine with varying power to a pretty good extent
@@smalltownmachineshop6860 Yea, the motors and such shouldn't get hurt if voltage and hertz varies by 5% or 10%. It'll affect speeds but that isn't a problem
Damn dude that thing sounds great, I love old engines and old machines, great video..
@@kentuckytrapper780 Thank you! Old stuff (usually) just works. New stuff is fantastic and refined typically, but it's often more fragile
Warner Swasey or Gisholt? AL B.
@@sallybrokaw6124 Warner Swasey 2a M510
That's awesome
@@Dadamsjr7353 It's a fantastic machine
Good one . Did you mention you scrapped the big VTL ?
@@swanvalleymachineshop Yea, the big VTL was scrapped sadly. Main bearings were shot and replacements are very very expensive
Nicely done, plenty flat enough considering the magnets have some play in them
Excellent job..
Coming together..
Impressive!
Damn dude talking about the middle of nowhere, lol 😂
You have no idea, nearest gas station is 30 mins away and my nearest neighbor is a half mile away, it's absolutely fantastic
@@hiddenworldforge374 hell yah, piss off the porch nobody around to see,lol 😂. I like it...
Jinky or not it's what works..
Where at
The hydraulic motor should be mounted by springs. It holds 6.5 gallons of hydraulic fluid in the base. The manual is Norton 6" X 18" Surface Grinder Manual 687-8. I have the same grinder.
Very cool
Nice stuff, you can never have too much much wire
The old girl decided she liked her summer teeth better:-) hopefully you got something else in the lineup to take her place.
@@ShredPile Nope lol, I'll be scrambling to replace it. Luckily I have my plasma cutter and angle grinder for small stuff, I'm screwed on anything over 1" thick
I'll give you $500 😊
To fast, and you need a 4 flut at the very least.
@@zeddoreo Lol
Clever
My motto is “if it gets the job done..”
If that's stupid then I'm a fuckin r tard
Your lathe looks like a little guy
@@brandi_herself The other lathe weighs 56k lbs
@hiddenworldforge374 no I meant it looks like a little man. Like a person or robot. Lol. Not that it's a small lathe.
No
that's monster shit bro you just straight built that fucking thing
@@gyp1414 Cobbled it together from scrap
It works! That's what matters stupid or not,lol 😂
Nice 👍🏽
Nice haul of cutters
Nice!
I look forward to watching your property develop!
Cześć. Pozdrawiam z Polski.
I like it!
What brand and model was it? Looks beefy. Jealous. My Astra Elite AR5-E is missing the still grinding attachment, but otherwise complete. Gives me ideas to fabricobble something together. Thank you
Just get a good rotary phase converter. Screw the VFD junk.
@@MyLilMule I love my VFD's, RPC's are great options but the cheap chinese VFD's have worked out really well for me
Congratulations
That my friend is super awesome
Just a bit of work ahead of you there ! Cheers 👍
@@swanvalleymachineshop Just a little
Good stuff man! Keep it up!
Nice to hear from you
😢 I'm sorry for your loss but, I'm happy you can go on. I'm just shocked that there's no way to restore the bearing surface on the little power hacksaw, are you sure?
I enjoyed how u drilled with the k and t...i don't have a spindle mill and have been trying to do better with drilling on my 2k. Can u tell me what your speeds and feeds were for the drilling operation?
I sharp my blades with a small diamond file. Takes like 2 to 5 minutes. Depending on the number of teeth.
A much better machine than the Weldanpower 150 AC portable. Might qualify as an antique now. Are parts for the welder half still supported by Lincoln? AL B.
You sure you want to take that entire thing apart? Getting it back together really squared up and within tolerance where it'll be useable seems like a monumental task. It's a 20 ton machine, a crane that picks that isn't that expensive.
Absolutely. I have to remove the chuck to repair the bearings and that requires the machine to be about 3' off the ground. These machines were designed to come apart and be transported in pieces, and squaring it up is pretty easy (everything has jacking bolts for adjustment)
@@hiddenworldforge374 Well i look forward to seeing that process, best of luck to you Sir!
@@PiFe00 Thank you! It's not gonna be easy but that's why it's fun
He will get it back together no problem, he knows machines
Big fun!
That's a hunk of steel, good luck getting it moved...
Excellent video! I agree on everything except lift system. I am using power hacksaw without lift non stop and it works good.
