Oh, also, don’t come to The Sanctuary while so old. The younger you are on any stage, the better. It’s alright to swallow your pride and go back to the first stage and start over. I promise it helps. Do that over and over until you’re at least below 25, I recommend. By then, you’ll already be pretty damn good to go. Just don’t rush.

A few tips from someone that’s been playing this game for a bit and got Wude at 25: For general grunts, don’t just run from them and then come in with the running slap. Instead, learn their combos by going into practice mode. They’re very easy. For example, the double jump punch combo they do can be parried by the second punch to then get a guaranteed hit on them. Their Superman punch into a punch can also be parried; both on the second strikes. Learn the Crooked Foot move and hold the heavy attack to use it on parried opponents. Side note, this saves LIVES against Yang-he folds against it every time if you use it correctly. It most commonly works when he does the clawing barrage attack. If you parry it three times, you’ll get the Crooked Foot every time. I recommend using the Sweep Kick move (not the Strong Sweep focus attack on him) while on the floor instead of going for the ground and pound. When you’re fighting armed grunts, you can disarm them with the sweep kick move, push move, strong sweep focus, or crooked foot. What I typically do is time their first swing which is typically really telegraphed, and then, like 0.3 seconds before they actually swing, I use the normal sweep move or crotch strike -> push move (forgot the name) -> heavy follow up (the simultaneous slap and sweep). The push alone disarms them, but the heavy follow up from the immediate push (just press Y right after) does more damage and grounds them. When Yang taunts, the only way to get him to stop without going into a counter war is to taunt back by holding either right or left on the d-pad; I forget. You can also use this against all enemies and bosses to make them attack you at a time you’re ready for. Yang usually comes in with a snap kick when you taunt, so just dodge back and counter, but be ready for him to do flowing claw, so just dodge back twice and then counter again. Try this in practice.
