Kid Charlemagne Solo On Pedal Steel
มุมมอง 13K8 ปีที่แล้ว
One of my favorite Larry Carlton solos! This particular Show-Pro steel guitar is a 25" scale tuned down to D9th which allows the player to be able to comp all of the phrasings in the original key of C(Including the hammer ons off the E string)

Dear Mr. Dunlap, did you play with Guy Penrod a time or two? Not is only your name familiar, your playing is extraordinary, Thank You! and God Bless.
What’s the story on that custom guitar???
Gorgeous harmonic movement!
Never heard you before exellent thank you,now try blues man
Looks like you borrowed Russ' Steel Space Ship
So sweet!
Ear balsam, thnx for the nice performance.
I knew you would be in the big time ever since watching you as we talked at one of the steel shows in Illinois. Congratulations on your success!
I love that blonde guitar i think the tone is better than your others wow
Love it, Eddy!
Complete misuse of a harmony instrument. That's easier done on guitar.
What a great sound. I will give this man a 10+ I could listen all day.☺️
My friend Gene Parsons has played a D ninth copedent for the last 50+ years. I really like that tuning being a little bit lower. He still has the old fender 800 that Leo Fender gave him back in the 60s. Heavily modified seven petals five knees.
sehr schön
At the 2:06 mark was a little Lloyd Green! Nice!!!!!
Beautiful, Eddy.
Great playing , great sound , great !
fantastic
That was some sweet!

Just wonderful man. Dobro too. I wish I could do that.
Killer tone and great bar hand. Played with heart and all out feelings. Great playing.
Beautifuly harmonized playing. Thanks for bringing me the joy of playing the steel guitar.Kudos to you, bro!! Keep up your amazing stuff
Hey Eddy; you sound fantastic!! I play guitar with the US Navy Country band…….. we are looking to hire a pedal steel guitarist - awesome steady music job!! You should apply; I would love to get a chance to play some country music with you!!
Wow! Let me tell you. What a killer tone. Whether it be the guitar, the amp, your bar hand, just simply incredible to see and hear. That guitar is a beast!! And you are too! See many steel players, after years of playing, some still play from the heart and soul, NOT just the mind. Players like yourself, Herby Wallace, the young Jimmy Day, Paul Franklin, Tommy White, when it comes to E 9th, that is where the goose bumps and tears become reality. This is what I see and hear with this video. There are many I did not mention but you keep on picking young man. You are a terrific player with the perfect touch of tone and feelings……
Mesmerizing...
I'm totally impressed with your work! I found you from your work in BIAB. Maybe meet you some day.
Very nice - new subscriber
Love it !
Boots
Beautifully played!!
Great pedal steel playing...rarely seen material...Bravo master!
❤️❤️❤️ 👍
ET would have loved your version of “Rainbow at Midnight.”
Reminds me a lot of early Jimmy Day. Emotion and soul.
Let's have a fire out back
I know you ..,..I'm very humble Just want to hang out
Eddy is my favorite “younger” player.
Up almost 10 years, with Eddy Dunlap and Johnny Hiland, no jiggly camerawork...and ZERO comments???!!!! THAT AIN'T RIGHT!!!! Thanks for posting this and other videos from Layla's.
Holy shit dude. Awesome.
Steel pedal with drive sucks!!!
I'm not chasing nobody but I definitely know what I want
Eddy is my favorite young player!
I remember this song.
Years later and ut of the blue i had this video going round and round my head today. Why is this a niche video? why no comments for years? This needs to be expanded into a full version and it would be a hit. Eddie kicking ass in this but could really make it viral with a bit of extra on this one. #EddieKicksAss
What is the name of this song?
Very nice eddy 👍👏👏👏👏👏🏴
