Hi Honey from a fellow Australian living on the Gold Coast, so lovely to find your video. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Morris and Sons is an Australian business that started in Sydney way back in the 1980’s or maybe earlier I think. They started out in Sydney and I first met Mr Morris when I used to do Cross stitch and they had a framing business on one level and knitting on the other level. Over the years I’ve seen them evolve and grow. Mr Morris passed away and the Sons Joseph and Albert run the business now. When I lived in Sydney and worked in the CBD I would visit the store at least once a week if not more. My work colleagues did not understand my obsession with yarn, knitting and crochet. I am still obsessed but don’t have a local yarn store nearby. I have to drive over at least an hour or more to visit my favourite local yarn store now which is just north of Brisbane. I do still buy from Morris and Sons online. But you need to visit a store sometimes because you just need to feel the yarn sometimes. I look forward to your next video, you’ve done an amazing job with your video and you should be very proud of everything you have made so far. It goes to show how much you love your new craft.
@@sharynhines4769 thank you so much for sharing the Morris and Sons story ♥️ and thanks for your kind words, so glad you enjoyed! 🥰
Hello from Pennsylvania! Honey, you are not only a talented knitter, but an excellent speaker. Your podcast was enjoyable, so please continue. I’ve been knitting for years and have yet to knit a sweater! I knit socks. I do have the yarn to make several pullovers, and will certainly try within the year to complete one. I think that being an engineer leads you to have a mindset of creativity with a true sense of design and an eye for details. To learn to knit such intermediate patterns so quickly is definitely amazing. I can’t wait to see your next projects! Keep going, and I certainly will be watching. Enjoy your summer!
@@cindik7268 thank you so much!! So glad you enjoyed 🥰 And happy knitting your next pullover ☺️
Hello fellow Aussie Knitter. What an amazing first video with some incredibly stunning pieces made so soon after you started knitting. My knitting origin story is so similar. Started crocheting and then got into knitting (I still crochet). Can't wait to see the next video ❤🎉
@@theknitsewcro thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed 🥰 Crochet still holds a special place in my heart 🌸
Hello from Canada (Quebec), I very much enjoyed your first podcast! Also, I have to say it is quite impressive all the beautiful work you did in such a short amount of time. Keep on sharing, it was a great start. Happy knitting
@@manonc1888 thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it!! 🥰
Loved your first podcast, really liked how you explained things. I've also only been knitting for a year and you have inspired me to try the harder knits that I've been putting off because I thought I was too new a knitter 😊 looking forward to your next podcast ❤
yaay so glad it gave you the inspiration!! 🥰 glad you enjoyed!
Wow you are a natural knitter. Keep up the great knitting. See you next episode.
Thanks!! 🥰
Hi from Florida wow you are a natural and what beautiful garments you have knitted looking forward to your next one
oh thank you! glad you enjoyed 🥰
Congratulations on your first podcast - I enjoyed it and your garments look really good. Just wondering where you bought the Knitting from Olive yarn and was it expensive? Whenever I’ve looked online the postage from Europe makes it very expensive. Is there a Melbourne shop you got it from? Regards Sharyn
Thank you!! I bought the KFO yarn from Sunspun store. They have a lovely range of KFO, and so many other goodies. I will link their website here, for more pricing details sunspun.com.au
Hi from Melb, I love to come across another Aussie podcast and you are a natural in front of the camera, really easy to watch and listen to, keep it up! You're a fast learner I've been knitting a few years and I still havn't tackled a cardi. Those greens look fabulous on you.
Oh thank you!! 🥰🥹
Thanks for the information. You're a quick learner to say the least. Love your knits. Look forward to more. Making a cardigan with my first double knitted button band and you've already mastered that technique. Since I live on the other side of the world (Oregon US) starting winter kniitting - next in queue for me is the Tulip Loop Sweater.
Thank you!! glad you enjoyed! and yes, that button band was not easy at ALL!! heheh. Happy Knitting! 🥰
Hello from Tennessee ! I loved your podcast. I am also a new knitter. I’m always looking for patterns with tutorials. I just finished Veronica Lindberg’s Sailor Swift Top and I bought her Salty Days sweater pattern. Tash (Sydney, Australia) from Mostly Knitting has some very good tutorials on different techniques. I hope you keep podcasting😊
Thank you! 🥰 I definitely will! I also have the Sailor Swift in my queue for summer knits to learn stripes! happy knitting!
Hello from Michigan in the US. Your knits are beautiful. Look forward to seeing more 😊
Thank you!! 🥰
Your knitting skills are fabulous in this short time. Thank you for sharing!❤
Enjoyed your first episode. Look forward to seeing more of your knitting journey.

I love everything you have knitted! I love your Salty Days sweater and have decided to knit it next. I just finished the Jasper baby blanket which is all texture and I loved every stitch. My granddaughter just had twins so of course I had to knit 2 blankets. I’m ready for Salty Days! Nice podcast….you now have a new follower.
Oh, congrats on the twins! 🥹 They are lucky to have someone knitting for them! And thank you 🥰 - enjoy the salty days! it is truly a fun project i loved it!

What a lovely podcast with lovely host and lovely projects! Thank you ❤ Did I say it was lovely? Greetings from Finland. 🙋🏻♀️ I have a brother living south of Sydney, and I hope I'll be able to visit Australia someday. Preferably in a time when it's freezing here and all nice and hot there! 😅
Thank you! 🥰 So glad you enjoyed! Sydney's already diving into summer! 😁
Hi from NZ. Was a great podcast to watch, you are a clever knitter 🧶🧶
Thank you so much!! glad you enjoyed 🥰
Wow! You’re doing great in every way! Keep experimenting and enjoying the journey. It’s so fun! 🧶
Thankss! 🥰 It is indeed!
Well done from a seasoned knitter also in Melbourne. Looking forward to the next one ❤
Oh thank you!! 🥰
Please make sure you do a swatch to make sure you get gauge for the Vilma top, you said dk + lace weight was worsted but you might find that quite a dense fabric as it makes an aran weight. Lace + fingering= worsted
Yep I've done a gauge swatch, hit it pretty closely! thanks for the heads up! 😊
Very impressive as a beginner andccrecent knitter, beautiful work. You are very talented.
Thank you so much!! 🥰
What a great first episode, I enjoyed it very much and have subscribed 🙂
Thank you!! glad you enjoyed! 🥰
You are amazing! What a learning curve!
Oh thank you!! 🥰
I’ve subscribed, I like the content and look forward to your future videos.
Thanks! glad you enjoyed! 🥰
Loved it and you are a wonderful knitter 😊
Thank you so much!! 🥰
Loved your FO! And the podcast ❤
Yay! Thank you! 🥰
Loved your TH-cam! It’s amazing what an awesome knitter you are in such a short period of time. I’ve been knitting for decades-you’ve inspired me to pick up my game. Thank you.
oh so glad it inspired you!! I love turning to TH-cam for inspiration too, glad I could play a small part in that! 🥰
My knitting journey sounds so similar to yours. I wanted to learn to knit and stumbled across Kutovakika and the fact she has the video tutorials makes knitting seem so accessible. I made the Darling Cardigan. I used a blue fluffy yarn, and it turned out so well...and from there, the rest is history. Your finished objects are so lovely, love all the green!
Thank you so much!! 🥰 It’s wonderful to hear about your journey too! I’m sure many of us were inspired by Kika, and I wouldn’t have got here so smoothly without her influence!😊
Hello, yes, I truly enjoyed watching……and if you didn’t say how long you’ve been knitting, I would have guessed years! You are an amazing knitter! Even changing a round neck cardigan to a v-neck! Good job! I look forward to seeing more of your knitting journey and your mom is going to love her gift! ❤ SuAnn
Thank you so much!! your comment made me feel like 🥹🥹. So glad you enjoyed! 🥰
Good job with your first podcast
Thanks!! 🥰
Congratulations! I really enjoyed your first episode! So impressed with your achievements! Learned to knit around 6 years old .mAlways thought that I am a good knitter because of all these years of knitting, but it seems like it’s possible to learn very quickly! So impressed with your determination and talent ! Looking forward for new projects !
Thank you so much!! so glad you enjoyed 🥰. I was quite surprised myself too as I always thought it would take me so long to be able to consider myself as a knitter 🤭
Blocking wont fix the bag. Try embelishing your mistake. Sew on a faux leather ribbon or thread a ribbon through it. Or how about a row of buttons or make a chain stitch across the bag with a crochet hook. Youll end up with a more interesting bag.
I enjoyed your first podcast and am amazed at all of these beautiful garments being your first knits! I am curious what TH-cam channels you found inspiring to watch. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much!! So glad you enjoyed 🥰 My main go-to channel was, Kutavakika, she was my main and initial inspo and did learn a ton from her. Will remember to share more of my other faves in my next videos for more reference.
I loved your first video. You did great! All your knitted pieces are beautiful! Greetings from Germany
Thank you so much!! Glad you enjoyed 🥰♥️
Wow! Second sweater and you are already winning the prizes! Amazing!!
Yay! Thank you 🥰
Who cares how long you have been knitting! You already made cardigans and sweaters! You're a natural! I am knitting since I was a child and I only started cardigans a couple of years ago and I never did something as beautiful as yours.
Thank you so much for your kind words!! ❤🥰I’m sure your creations are beautiful in their own way! 😊
Same here
It's great to see your FOs!
Thank you!! 🥰
I want to make the Salty sweater.
Yaay I'm glad it inspired you!! 😍You can also check out Kika's tutorial will give you heaps of nice tips - th-cam.com/video/h_isZqrWl0c/w-d-xo.html
I love your toque!
I think it must be hard to talk to a camera with no audience. You do very well.
Watching from 🇨🇦
What an inspiration you are.
Thank you!! 🥰
Good for you putting together a video. I wsh you all the best.
Congratulations on your first podcast 😊 can’t believe how much you have achieved with your knitting 🧶 in just a short time 🎉
Oh Thank you so much for watching! 🥰❤ And yesss, it's been quite surprising for me too! This entire knitting journey continues to amaze me, and I'm embracing every moment of it! 😊
