Thank you so much for the kind compliment. :) I am so happy our video has helped you. We actually just disembarked Meraviglia this past Monday, September 29th. I am happy to report that the embarkation process has improved. Mustering was a bit challenging. We watched the video, and called in on our cabin phone, and were promptly told by their system that our cabin number had been recorded. We then went to our muster station and had our cards scanned. Since our muster was in the Promenade, we didn't have to march around it. However, the next day, we received a letter from the captain stating that their records showed we didn't watch the video or call in, and were instructed to watch the video, and call again. Our daughter and son-in-law received the same letter in their cabin, even though they completed the process too. Our son-in-law just called Guest Services and told them they had watched the video and called in, so Guest Services checked them as complete. I called the original number given after the video, and apparently that worked, as we didn't receive any more notices of not completing the muster. Disembarkation was easy enough, although we were given wrong directions as to where to wait for our Uber. If you are using Uber or Lyft, once you exit the building, cross the street, and there are six different "areas" to wait. And you're most welcome! Hello! :) You'[re most welcome! I honestly couldn't tell you exactly where the entrance is. We gave our Uber driver the address that MSC has for the Brooklyn terminal. But, somehow our driver missed a turn somewhere, or something of that nature that caused him to not be able to get us to the proper drop-off for the terminal. From where he ended up dropping us off on that side street, it was about a five-minute walk or so, if even that. If your Uber has to drop you off on a side street like that, the biggest hurdles with walking that could make it a longer walk are other cars and people, not necessarily distance. Hey, Rich! The late breakfast place is the buffet restaurant. In the Daily Program left in your stateroom each night, they will list the buffet's breakfast hours as 6:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. But we discovered if you head all the way aft on the port side, they will keep a small area open for breakfast at least until around noon or so. :) Thanks for watching our video, and asking a great question! Hi, Kevin! :) No, I didn't actually see a shuttle for Newark. When we arrived at the shuttle pickup area, there was a shuttle waiting for those headed to LaGuardia. About five to ten minutes later, a shuttle arrived to JFK. So, we boarded quickly. I faintly remember a shuttle putting alongside us on the other side, but I don't know to which airport it was headed. I'm so sorry! Thank you for taking the time to watch our video. :) (Melinda)

Hey, Carol! You're most welcome! I am surprised MSC said that they do not provide transportation to LaGuardia. On our cruise, once we got down to the spot where the transfers were coming to pick us up, one of the workers said that there are transfers to all three airports: JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark. We just had to make sure we got on the one for JFK. So, maybe that's something new for LaGuardia? To purchase a transfer, if you look under the Excursions tab, there should be a link to purchase airport transfers. I am not sure how much my husband paid for our transfers, but they are typically around $60-$70 per person, give or take $10 dollars or so. Hope this helps! Yes, the food that we had is included. Each beach has a snack shack with food that is included. There may be an upcharge at some venues, but the menu will specifically list the price if that's the case. Other than that, the food is included, and you can get as much as you want. :) (Melinda)

The drinks that are included with your cruise are: regular coffee, tea, orange juice, lemonade, and the different fountain juices in the buffet like fruit punch, strawberry kiwi, etc., and of course water. ​@@Gate24Travel...we just came back on July 28...from Meraviglia....embarcation took less then 30min....desimbarkatio same our time was 8.30...we were in the parking lot at 9.00!! For us very efficient !!!

Happy New Year to you! <3 :) That is such a great question. In 2012, I did a cruise on Carnival Pride. I was recovering from a broken ankle. The crew members who were stationed outside of the elevators allowed people with disabilities to use the elevators; however, no one else could. I think that could pose a problem with MSC. If they are allowing any and everyone to use the elevator to get to their muster station, that could potentially be a problem for people using wheelchairs and such. So, you would definitely be able to use the elevator to get to your muster station. Thank you for watching our video and taking the time to ask! :) (Melinda)

@@genise77 You are most welcome! And I can't imagine any cruise line making someone with disabilities use the stairwell. Over the years, I have noticed the number of cruisers with disabilities increase. So, please don't let that keep you from cruising. <3 On your next cruise, as soon as you board, if you wish, you might go straight over to Guest Services, and ask them how to complete the muster with a wheelchair. They will be able to give you exact information on how to do it. On the cruise I did on Carnival Pride, people with disabilities had to meet in a different area for the muster than the standard areas. They allowed one person to stay with the person in need. So my daughter was able to stay with me and complete her muster, while my husband went to the standard area for mustering. :) (Melinda)

It seems you enjoyed the boat rides you took. If you have the time i would recommend the 5 hr lake tour offered on The Mohican. It travels the full length of the lake to Baldwin Station where the LG Steamboat co launches and pulls the ships for maintenance. If you pick a nice day (I would recommend early fall or late summer when the crowds are smaller) the ride through the narrows is spectacular. You pass by the Sagamore hotel in Bolton as well as most of the mansions on the lake. I like to sit on the upper deck and listen to the hum of the diesel and dream away 🙂. Around the village take a ride up to Top of the World golf resort for some of the best vistas available looking north up the lake and southeast towards Vermont. It’s not a tourist place and rarely mentioned. It’s about 3 miles north on rt 9n which runs on the east shore. Look for the signs it’s a sharp right up the hill. When you return to the bottom go right and continue along the lake past the bays you view from the top. It breaks away from the lake at Pilot Knob road the last road on the east shore. The ride back to LG is just as nice 😏. There’s a ton of little free things to do to enjoy the incredible beauty of the lake. Have fun!

I don't care much for guarantee cabins, but as they are the cheapest, we generally book those so we can cruise a little more. And the worst one ever was on Holland America's Nieuw Statendam. BB King's Blues Club/Lounge was literally right above us. All I could hear was thump-thump-thumping. Thankfully, it all stopped at midnight. Shoo wee. Not for elderly Should be told it is ahike up. There are parking spots if you have a placard Not all elderly need handy cap placard. I can walk some . We should have been told at entrance.
