Just a regular pc, I don't think I'll be finishing it online, runs fine if not being streamed, might try one more streaming in a lower resolution.

Aye thanks, but I haven't been playing since January sadly, I got into a debacle over a base placement and wound up giving it up after almost 10 years.😅 Great mod but to me they are held back by some people with a different personal intent for the place. Nothing out of the ordinary for Discovery Freelancer! 🤔

@binskialamo a freelancer is a freelancer at times you get a bonus at times it hurts. You should come back. They are releasing a huge new patch soon.

I took a bustard out a couple times, that was interesting, got jump coords out there so I could jump back and forth. You have to be down within 15k of plane level by the spawns to do a scan, which was pretty intense hehe. I'd try to last until having a hair of hull left and jump out without losing any nomad remains!

Heh yeah that is a rarity, I didn't even notice that until you pointed it out. Although there was a slight delay, my shield was dinged over half its strength. Not sure why that happened but it might be because it's an anti-ship torpedo, not an anti-fighter missile (I think). Or the torpedo itself might have a high hp. Just before that I barely evaded one trailing me. That was a good battle.

Currently impossible. Map editing software shows it has been worked on something but it never came to fruition. It will likely never open.

The Stargates, as far as I know, are based off of certain ancient stone edifices (stone circles) that are remnants of ancient human inhabitation here. At the quantum level they are actually intricate machines, usually turn out to be a mix with crystal like quartz, and are capable of serving as an interface to a system that can move people around through space (wormholes). They were programmed to be mentally controllable and link up to other places with similar stones. They are long since deactivated by now. A realistic portrayal is better shown in the show "Outlander", where the main character gets pulled backwards through time by touching an ancient stone in Scotland. Ironically just before that she had been discussing the Battle of Culloden, the time and place still in her subconscious, the stone recognized her DNA most likely and it sent here there. Technically they connect to themselves all the way back to the day they were placed.
