My monkeybrain is telling me this was hella sick and I would love to do it but my adult brain is contradicting that with the fact that you cannot control your environment, you cannot control what other people do, this is stupid.
As an ER Nurse, I cared for a 15-year-old skating in traffic. I say "cared for" because he died shortly after he got to us. We couldn't get him back. We had to tell his mother. I can still see the look on her face as I tell her. It haunts me. Your life and death affect more people than you know
I'm a skater but I'm 23 now so when I see skaters doing stuff like this on public roads, no spotter, no helmet I just lose respect. Adults who skate need to do better. Kids are going to be watching this clip and repeating what they see. I know I did when I was younger. Actually I only started wearing a helmet around the age of 21 because I realized that there's a lot to life I want to experience and one pebble can erase myself - the person that I and my parents have built from the ground up. I don't want my knowledge and memories gone. In skateboarding what's sad is that even the pros that skate street don't wear a helmet. Only the vert and most of the pool skaters do. I still do what non-skaters would call "dumb shit" but not to this extent. It's one thing to trust your abilities but to go downhill, uncontrollably in a busy street like this? That's a life-changing accident waiting to happen. And whoever hits him is going to be scarred for life.
white guy needs some control lessons on that spin, its not a beyblade its a skateboard
