😄 Thank you! It’s been over a year since I made this video, and I still use these tricks to watch TH-cam! By the way, I’ve picked up another trick since then: if you disable your watch history, the Home and Shorts tabs stay empty-even in the app. It’s like magic! So if watch history isn’t important to you, give it a try!

Love this and will be implementing these ideas. I'm new to digital notes and haven't even actually put anything in there yet. I needed to figure out my organization system first. I was also confused by the dividers. I am currently organizing my setup by semester, classes taken, and then notes that I will add tags to as soon as I start the process. Great video!

I have the same experience as this women, I liked the idea of reading, but I could not be bothered with walking around with books on me. Since i got the Kindle I've been reading more and actually finishing books
What do you for living? Having a tasks that you can delegate is a flex demonstrating the living conditions....!
I work from home as a freelancer and have other responsibilities on a daily basis as well.- I do not have a team but I do have a husband and an 11yold who can take care of a few things. So, I delegate in that way. The "delegation" aspect can be applied to many situations, EVEN to a one person show. For example, you can have many roles, and you can delegate tasks to each "persona" that you "become" when in a certain role. Much like time and task management, each "person" has a role for a specific time-slot. That would be delegating. Even if it is only you. Obviously, it is much easier (should be) to delegate to others, though 😅
“Delegate it” is part of the GTD system. Do it, delegate it, or defer it.

Hiii 🥰 I ended up selling the 2024 Cousin, and used my 2023 instead. I’m not sure whether I’ll be ordering anything from Hobonichi this year, tbh! My word for this year was (and still is) SIMPLIFY. I really minimized the amount of stuff I own (and keep minimizing it further), and at least for now I feel like I have all the journals I need. Ideally, I’d like to make that decision once I literally want to write something and there’s no where to write it in. I used to ‘pre-buy’ a lot, and I think this is how I ended up accumulating a lot of ‘just-in-case’ stuff 🙏🙏

As long as I am still able to sideload my own ebooks onto the Kindle, it's fine. Even though I HAVE to use Calibre for it. Direct transfer doesn't work anymore. One has to convert the ebooks first into AZW3 via Calibre, before transferring. What's even better, this way, the transferred ebooks are perfect and complete with covers.
is there any way to disable the shorts on the actual apps? will i now have to use the youtube website to block the shorts?
Hey! I figured out that if you disable watch history on your TH-cam account on the app, it will disable the Shorts tab ✨✨✨💪

When you import a new week’s worth of slides, the app will ask you whether you want to create a new note or to append it to an existing one! :)

I saw a template with page dividers (January, February and so on) just aside of the pages. I think it is pretty useful but I don’t know how to create them. Do you know how to create it?
about the convenience of ebooks I say they aren't anymore cheap as before ( at least in Italy) all depends of your country

My daughter was actually reading on her iPad earlier and the distractions were making her so mad. Yes there is do not disturb mode but then she forgets to turn that off. I am currently shopping for a Kindle Paperwhite Kids edition.
I owned a paper white years ago and I miss it. I recently got rid of my Fire HD 10 and traded it for a new paper white. Reading on digital electronic devices is so distracting with notifications. I know it is worth the money.

Great review. I love my kindle voyage and debating swapping out for a paper white for the size and warmth features but regardless of the model, kindle is certainly a more pleasant reading experience especially when your eyes start to go.
Oh yeah, on that - I don’t remember whether I mentioned it in this video, but this is actually what pushed me to buy it after years of deliberation. I was not able to read in winter because I didn’t want to have bright lights on at night, but also I could not see with dimmed lights!

I am not sure why everyone seems to treat Kindle as either/or, I think we are blessed these days with options. When I am driving 10 hrs south to visit family 3 or 4 times per year, nothing beats a good book on audible to make the hours fly by. When it is late at night or when on vacation or when reading unfamiliar subjects where looking up words regularly or reading large uncomfortable to hold books like War and Peace a Kindle is perfect. When reading anything that may contain maps or footnotes or charts and graphs I much prefer a physical book. Thank heavens I do not have to choose only one.

It depends! I resell a ton of physical books and normally recoup 30% of their value. Kindle books in my Amazon store (I buy in the American one) are about 30% cheaper. So the price difference is not that huge in the end for me.

I dunno the white text on black background is pretty easy om the eyes. So, tablets aren't bad except they have distractions with so many other possibilities. I get it, but tablets and even certain smartphones are great too.
May I ask: Do you use a screen shield protector? I heard that the newest kindle generation is more sensitive concerning scratches than previous generations
I do not, and I cannot say if it’s more sensitive or not, because it’s my first kindle. But the one time I dropped it into my backpack without a cover, it did get scratched. Lesson learned, now I carry it only in the cover 🙏

kindle is good...people should not be reading during vacation. You should be at the moment, watch around walk around, meet look weird body form, do not escape to into a different world reading books....you are not enjoying the now time. Read it on the bed or in the house, the normal environment. Reading during vacation is a sign of addiction, any addiction is not fine...work on it peeps. luv
people can read wherever and whenever they want.
How is reading on holiday a sign of addiction? I don’t read on holiday but I really don’t get that comment. If you are sitting at the beach on holiday which I personally hate I can understand how you would get your kindle out as you’re just sat at a beach relaxing and enjoying the weather. This lady didn’t strike me that she was necessarily spending the whole holiday reading. Gosh can we just stop judging people.
I am also a bookworm. I can confidently say that kindle is simply the best device for book lovers.

Például, ha olvasok valamit, és nem értem, utánanézek és leírom. Vagy ha írok egy barátomnak és nem vagyok biztos a nyelvtanban. Mivel ez csak 1 vagy 2 dolog naponta, ezek a kis jegyzetek nagyon jól megmaradnak a fejemben! Talán idővel bővülni fog a használati módja, de egyelőre ennyi!

Kindle totally changed my reading habits, as with iPad I haven’t had a chance to complete a book it is pain in the eye and a lot of distractions 😅, but with kindle I can easily finish 3 books a week !! That game change for me

Thank you for this review. I could read kindle on my Ipad pro or iphone but to many distractions and the light kills me. Also I have 2 little kids, my books get trashed in seconds in their hands! Also at night using a light wont let my wife sleep. So looks like Kindle is a win. Gonna get the paperwhite on prime day like in 5 days
The only thing that I find irritating in reading on iPad is that Amazon doesn’t let us make purchases on the iPad app. Don’t know why

@@the_organized_mess mostly light weight and huge battery for travel.
It's because Apple and Google wanted to take a percentage (I think it was 30%) of every book sold through the app. But since that's about the entirety of Amazon's profit margin on a book they decided to get rid of the feature instead and just have us purchase through a web browser. I now have the web browser kindle store saved as an icon on my phone screen so I can easily browse books when I want :)
@@Pawtastic Oh, that makes sense, yes, thank you for explaining it! I always get the sample first, so I usually send the sample from my phone app to Kindle, and then I can get it from there :)
It’s the opposite for me, iPad i s really smooth while the constant flickering in kindle while page turning is a real deterrent
My bf prefers his iPad mini too! But just fyi, or to anyone who might be reading this: the page flickering can be disabled by going into Settings > Reading Options > Page Refresh - off. I always have it off myself!

What´s the best way to import pdf notes after renaming them in the computer as you mentioned? Can you import a whole pdf booK?
If you want the PDF to add to an existing file in Notability, the easiest way I think is to open that file on Notability and airdrop the new file. Notability will ask you if you want to append the airdropped file to the open file, say yes! (You can also choose the folder / file manually, but I find that opening it first is cognitively even simpler, as you don’t have to scan through file names and consider ‘Am I adding this file to the correct document?’ just by the file name). And if they are just stand alone files, I prefer to open Notability on Mac and drag and drop them there.

I will do as you, readings consiting of some pages say 30 pages, will go to my subjects folder and I think I will leave PDF books in their original format and just split the screen to access them at the same time with my notes . =) (beutiful hands btw!)
