    @Barry: The Neumann U87 is not a tube microphone it's a FET Mic. And if yours is from 1970, it is definately not a Ai becuse these were first introduced in the late 80s. @ Daniel: Putting your mic through the black la-610 and then through the Warm WA-2a doesn't make much sense, because the LA-610 alrady has a built-in T4 Opto Compressor which is in fact just what the Warm WA-2a is trying to clone, so you don't actually need the Warm, this might also be the reason for your issues with the mic, as you are most probably double or over compressing. And even if you are bypassing the compressor of the la-610 (which I wouldn't by theway, because it is the better compressor out of the two imho), judging by your settings on the Warm, you are compressing way to much, if that was a photo of your setup. Also why are you activating the pad and then cranking up the gain and the levels? You get way more noise etc that way.

    • @Daniel_Stih
      @Daniel_Stih 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks Berry! I dialed back the level of compression on the Warm to half of what it was, and am getting better results. I'll try not using it at all. I was under the impression that if applied compression in stages (2 compressors in series) it would work better than a single compressor. What are your thoughts on that? Your Rode caster seems a simpler way to go. I already have this rack of gear so I figured I use it for the podcast.

    that was the most interesting information conversation, positive outlook that I have ever ever heard. I wish every single person would take the time to listen to what you just talked about with that doctor just people hearing where you are and where you started from with going to college to be an aerospace engineer and where you are is more encouragement than they could get anywhere for sure they should read your books pass them on his gifts couldn't be a bitter gift and I think you finding your way through all those classes and especially your 20+ years with your company called healthy living Spaces. You have a lot to share, the young people old people every age needs to hear what I just listen to congratulations Dan 10:20 10:20 10:20

    LOL! plant based ill health would be accurate. The only superfoods out there are animal fats, eggs, fish and meat!

      Thanks for checking out the podcast episode and for sharing your perspective! It’s always great to hear different views on health and nutrition since everyone’s journey and body needs can be so different. Plant-based eating works wonders for some people, while others find animal proteins help them feel their best-what’s important is finding what’s right for you and maintaining a balanced, nutritious diet. I believe I mention the concept of eating right for your blood type in the conversation with Oliver, for which certain blood types (in theory) are more suited for meat vs types that thrive on plant-based nutrition. See “Eat Right 4 Your Type: The Individualized Blood Type Diet Solution” by Dr. Peter J. D'Adamo by Catherine Whitney. Myself, I'm type O (do better with some meat). I've tried various diets including "raw" ie no cooked food and only veggies, and found I needed to have some meat in my diet. I believe it's the type A or B that do better without meat. I’d love to hear more about your experiences with animal-based superfoods too. Thanks again for listening and for joining the conversation!

    David Bedford's books are great. Very detailed. I met him years ago in Liverpool. He set a quiz that was MC'd by the BBC's Spencer Leigh. I won the quiz. Lol. I grew up in Liverpool in the mid 50's/early 60's and saw The Beatles rise to global prominence from a local perspective. Bedford's take on the origin stories ('roots') of where all this music came from and it's convergence in Liverpool in the 50/60's is spot on. As for Pete Best/ Ringo, Leigh wrote an informative book on the 'sacking'. I think George H. did want Ringo in and Pete out because they were mates and Ringo sat in with The Beatles occasionally in Hamburg. I helped Cavern DJ Bob Wooler put his biography in order before Leigh took the manuscript in hand after Bob's death. Still lots of new stuff coming to the fore about The Beatles which keeps them relevant. The Fabulosity of the Foursquare Golem will never die! Just Google it.

      @joerobxy - Thank you so much for your insightful comment. It’s nice you had the opportunity to meet David Bedford and congrats on winning the quiz! Growing up in Liverpool during the Beatles' rise and getting to watch it all happen must have been exciting. I appreciate you sharing and keeping the legacy alive. I will google the Foursquare Golem as you suggested. Thanks for watching!
