being more experienced in the sport can also affect the outcome of this fight yeah but people were saying the same thing about ilia before he fought volk, ilia is better in almost every compartment against max. boxing, combinations on the feet, defense,wrestling, bjj, more power. the only things max has in this fight is volume, experience, and kicks. he wont let him get close? in what world do u think ilia wont get in the pocket against him and put him near fence???? max made many mistakes in his previous fights and yes he has improved since. but the competition he went against are NOT THE SAME. the skill gap is crazy, the best fighters in that division as of right now are max, ilia, and volk. and max and volk haved showed the skill gap vs other contenders time and time again. regardless of what happened to volk in the 2nd islam fight, that punch ilia threw was gonna ko him regardless, and 99.999999% sure wouldve knocked down if not ko max also

Putting izzy in the top ten ain't galzing. Top 3 maybe glaze but he's earned a spot on this list. He's a former glory kickboxing champ most of the people mentioned here as "the best strikers in mma" just simply wouldn't be able to accomplish that. And guess what the other glory champ alex pereira was ranked number one and izzy while "worse" than pereira he's still closer than practically anyone in the ufc when it comes to ability.

Izzy being ranked as a top 10 striker just simply isn't glaze.
