His mate Ben in this episode used to be in a programme called ‘the best.’ Him and two other cooks ( Paul and silvana ?) would produce their version on a particular dish to see which was best. Can’t find any of it on you tube unfortunately

I've always liked the concept of this show: What does a chef cook for himself or "the family" after cooking for guests in a fancy restaurant? I miss these simple recipes these days. Current cooking shows are way too over the top, I think.

I remember watching his show in the 90s when I was in my mid teens, and thought wow, he's really messy at cooking but damn its charming and sexy haha.

This was when Jamie was cool, youthful, laid back, thinner, energetic, humorous, fidgety, smiling, longer haired. Now he's an OLD, rich, heavier, professional, corporate man and lost all those earlier qualities. He's too serious. I miss the Jamie from before.
