    (Att'n Robert : Headstock vaulted into upper-right corner, camera BELOW the neck shot, make for fingers covering strings/frets, hence wasting our time as we decipher fingerings. Please note corrections made by Jack Ruch and other Utoob instructors : straight-on medium shot of horizontal neck proves much more effective presentation of valuable information. Thanks!)

      Hi Molly, I agree my videos have issues… but so do I … I’m just an ancient hippie who just does the best I can. Yes lots of improvement would be groovy … Not all my videos are the same though… depends prolly on my mood, persona - character. I’m not like the others and care not to be like a Jack Ruch clone. Anyways I’ve done hundreds of videos and they are all different… in content and quality. I’ve taught thousands of guitar students and toured with legends. I’m different, I’m not the pristine high tech or a produced wannabe. I’m open for questions and appreciate your concern and advice. … I did look at your videos… not anything of interest or to comment on. Anyways hope you stay tuned and tuned in and hopefully turned on somehow. Your always welcome😊🎸⚛️✨👍

      @@guitartime4U Dont know bout any other ïssues". Pointing out the angles, like i do everytime i perceive that mistake [sic]--for the very reason i remarked . I notice when the others have made adjustments, thus providing arguably more useful vid/instruction. Being a Jack Ruch or anyone "clone" isn't the point. Making fret and finger placement visible is. Keep production simple but with better angles. Then, yeah! cheers.

      @@mollyp.sasser223 Thank you, Molly. Sometimes hearing - the ear training without a clear visual has benefits & groovy ... for many neurological - creative groovy. I have many videos teaching and showing finger placement - demonstrations and reasoning. Every now and then, my videos have issues, but I guess I have to admit I do as well - being an ancient hippie guitarist ... perfection is not always my concern - but I sure appreciate being made aware! Grooval Cheers!

    I saw you in the 1980's with Albert in Denver at a place called Straight Johnsons...you guys had Abbe locke on sax, I think it was Johnny Gayden and Casey jones in the rhythm section too...I remember an awesome show. With Albert coming on stage to "Listen Here" and his first ripping guitar notes were done with him singing the notes in unison..Sent chills down my spine man...Anyway, I liked how you did your own thing with him instead of trying to mimic his licks like some have done when in the band with him. Thanks brother.

      Hi there… I think your Stanley. Hearted thanks for such kind words and the memories and moments you’ve expressed. 🌨️Those were such special times and I’m so glad you were there. ❄️🎸Yes I remember Straight Johnsons And you had all the band members correct. Yeah I can hear Albert doing listen here right now just for me and you. He had a style unlike any other. To me he was of the greatest electric bluesman ever. I loved Albert. 😊And that he would call me son. There were the times that were intimate like at a truckstop at three in the morning while the rest of the band was on the bus sleeping and Albert had a coffee in the truckstop and he would start crying😢. Things weren’t right at home between him and his wife. 😌I would just reach across the table and hold his hand and I would say pops I feel the blues with you. 😀And then there were the times when we laughed so hard that my jaw and body was sore. I 🌬️was like frozen alive by the man himself. Quite often I was always a little ☃️frosty and these days I really have come to understand so much about the great 🌬️ice man Mr. Albert Collins my pops. Once again thanks again for sharing… iHeart☃️

      @@guitartime4U Hey thanks for the long reply brother! Man, that was touching about him crying over the home situation-I could always feel that he was a tender heart even tho' he was a King "Bad Ass". I'm glad you were a good friend to him in those rough times...And although I didn't get to hang with him, he still cracks me up more than any other blues man in a lot of his stuff ("What'd you say!?..I don't know") in about 2002 I recorded a tribute song to Albert called "I miss the Ice Man"...I think it's on you tube (Stanley Milton's Mean Streak). I didn't use his tuning or a capo, but tried to do my take on him without sounding too much like a clone...anyway, if you find it, I hope it does you and Albert proud. Take care.

    I saw Albert at Tipitina's in New Orleans and was blown away. On his last song he jumped off the stage and played the whole song standing right in front of me. It is a memory I will cherish forever. I saw Stevie Ray's 1st Concert on the River Boat in New Orleans and I don't like to compare these 2 because they were head and shoulders above the rest. I don't think it was close. John Smith who toured with Albert on the sax has been a friend of mine who has been in my band and duo shared a few stories of Albert. John is a monster too.

    I have a question. Not many know that he could play really really fast across strings. Some say oh yeah he made up for it with hammer ons just by playing 3 notes on one string before his finger struck the next string and repeat. When I saw him on TH-cam playing a fastie, he would play like his picking hand was frozen, moving it up and down the strings or something, almost like his pointer was a plectrum of his own. I do not quite know what was going on there. I would like you to tell us how he did that. In 1979, he played his opening number Listen Here at Montreux. After he plays his octaves, he goes into this really fast riff. On his later performances, he did not repeat anything quite like that.

    Hey do you have any recommendations I have issues when doing big bends I end up hitting the string above?

    • @guitartime4U
      @guitartime4U ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question Kane, so our hands are all built differently than others - muscle power and have different strength according to how much you play. Also much depends on the set up of your guitar what is the gauge of your strings and how is the action set on your guitar. So doing exercises to strengthen your fingers would be a way to build your technique. You could even start by semi tone bends - half step bending. Your bending finger needs support of your left hand wrist positioning and support of having other fingers placed to add strength… Finger Placement… I have videos on this most important orthodox method. Stay tuned I may post a video on exactly the issue your having. To get a view of my wrist and finger placement positions - not to interfere with other strings. 🎸So when you push the string you should be pushing the other strings in unison but not sounding. ⚛️ I’ll demonstrate this in an upcoming video. Stay tuned and Thank😊You 🎸Kane👋
