Hi, this is my TH-cam channel called TheSmeltingStick. I primarily upload Fire Emblem content. I'll eventually do something with this TH-cam channel (probably Fire Emblem rom hacks and/or randomizers), so I guess you could look forward to that.

I mean, what's the point of gaining more stat points, right? Just to be clear these units had only capped one stat each...

Just another reason Conquest is the best, baby
That build-up from 4:16 to 4:37 is sooo good. This music is the only reason I don't map skip late game with rescue staff. Literal best map music in the series.
This story had so much potential. I don't blame the Manga writer because he wasn't the one who wrote the entire plot, just the outline, this goes to IS actually. If the game had more time in the oven in terms of thinking more on each scenario, whether it be expanding on plot points or removing the pointless ones, Fates I believe would've become one of the best entires in Fire Emblem's history.
True. I love Fates, it has my favourite gameplay in the series, especially in Conquest. But the story, man... it's so disappointing especially when you think about what could've been had IntSys actually taken it more seriously or had more time. Or better yet both. I mean, you can tell how much more it could've been because the story can actually make you feel things, such as with Elise and Xander's deaths in Birthright or Ryoma's death in Conquest, and the scene near the ending of Revelation with both kingdoms' royals together. I wish we could've had more of that; more emotion throughout the rest of the game, because they were absolutely capable of doing that.
Ini Miney The Whole Time: 😊☺️
EPIC
The theme of me finding out the hard way that Xander has 1-2 range after he one-shots Kaze from behind a horde of enemies.
despite me not being an fire emblem fan, after hearing this soundtrack from Sophist's horrible act towards Vernias' birthday in Brent's video, I was in absolute shambles just by listening it at the end of the video on how well it played perfectly...
Party Crashers
Theme of me thinking I have ironclad defenses but realizing a Pegasus Knight is about to fly past everyone and end the chapter.
Easily top 3 map theme in the whole series.
1:49 *FOR THE GLORY OF NOHR!* The sound of the bagpipes when it is the player's turn to attack is simply EPIC!
Birthright - best music Conquest - best story, characters, and Corrin (Corrin is flawed and I like that) Revelation - best ending (what can I say, I like happy endings)
Both this song and its counterpart A Dark Fall are polar opposites. Where for A Dark Fall gives you the hopeless feel that “even though we’re winning the war, we’re not the good guys here” Alight gives a theme of heroics and unity. Like “This may be an uphill battle but as long as we fight together, we’ll win this.” Sort of deal. A great theme for Birthright. And my favorite of the two songs.
This song and its counterpart Alight are polar opposites. Where for Alight is more heroic with its theme that “even though we’re fighting an uphill battle, we WILL win this war” A Dark Fall has a feeling of dread to it. Where it’s like “This may be a victory for Nohr but we are definitely not the good guys here” such a great theme for conquest. While I love Alight more because it’s so awesome, this song here is still really good for what it accomplishes.
This song got screwed over a bit. It plays 3 times in conquest, 4 times in Birthright, and only twice in Revelations. That’s nine times throughout all three routes. It wouldn’t be a problem but compare that to its counterpart Justice R.I.P. which get played a total of 12 times through out all three routes. And don’t get me wrong, I love Justice R.I.P. but I feel like it may have been a bit over bloated through tall three routes y’know.
Back to a Time when life was Peak ahh the memories that flow with Tears that weep from the depths of my soul... Having this sound on repeat in my old car sigh I shall cherish this music every time I hear it
Am I the only one to think this ost is a tribute to Princess Mononoke and the legend of ashitaka ?
1:02 coincidentally the song starts like this when a mage or an enemy with warmslayer target Corrin
The very definition of glorious.
Ah yes, sounding glorious as always
we've got trouble
Play a dungeon on Metaphor Refantazio with conquest music and you won't regret it lol
You should've surrendered.
I Loved Corrin
Corrin received _way_ more hate than they deserved IMO. Yes, they're not perfect, and there are a few too many characters dedicated solely to them. But when people say that they're a Mary Sue or a flawless and annoying character, I disagree. Their vice is naïveté; they're completely ignorant in the ways of the world. They look for the best in everything, even if it's not there. While this innately isn't a bad thing, the game makes it clear on multiple points how foolish their original outlook on life is, and by the end of the game, they're more realistic and jaded, but without losing their innate hopefulness and positivity. I think that's a pretty decent character arc TBH.
I will never understand why this one isnt in Smash bros....especially since its one of the most climax battle song ever in the game
That final beat drop at 3:50 is what I crave
"I GOT THE KID, LET'S GO!!!" "ARE WE SERIOUSLY GOING TO ADOPT A CHILD?!?!" "JUST RUN!!! GET OUT OF HERE!!!!"
imho one of the most overrated tracks in this game
just say you're miserable
Feels like a Monster Hunter theme tbh
Pretty much Argentina after Copa America 2016 can be summarized in this soundtrack.
when ryoma hits lv.5 the game is over
I hated when lilith the dragon died, another reason why I chose path three.
This song is why I chose the third path.
Anyone else fell the sudden urge to conquer hoshido for the glory of nohr or just me?
RIP Fire emblem OST. We’ll miss you with all of our hearts.

I always choose the revelation route in order to avoid getting hurt emotionally. 😢
PHIGHTING SONG! I FINALLY FOUND IT! KING OF THE HILL IS A GREAT MAP AND BIOGRAFT IS GOATED 1V1 ME
Just now rediscovering how good this soundtrack is after a good like 7 years
Dude these games need remade on switch 2 or a future console
Wow
Oh Lilith.😭😭😭
This song is what I think of when the little dragon gets killed in either game. I know it's tied to Elise story wise, but it's clearly a symbol of death and the following grief. If you read the early game dialogue with Lilith you'll know why I find her death particularly tragic.
I can picture Waluigi listening to this while Wario dances to Lost In Thoughts All Alone.
I'm gonna say it- Fate's story wasn't even that bad. Of course each of the paths was going to be short and simple- they had literally 3 campaigns to fit into the space of 1 game. FE: 3 houses did the exact same thing, yet it is never as heavily critiqued as Fates. The character's are a bit 1-dimensional... but there are literally over 71 useable characters in the game. Fates is clearly the FE game whose focus is less on the story/characters but more so on the gameplay and tactical challenge. The difficulty, design, ambience, music, player-freedom was all flawless. I have never played a FE game in the franchise that has been as fun and entertaining as Fates.
The stories are all over the place and conquest butchers Xanders character. They never went into detail about the concubine wars which is integral to camillas character. Hoshino was completely in the right, there was no real morally gray thing
@@theed805 Like I said, there was limited time. People were expecting 3 fully-fleshed out storylines with no loose-ends. Unrealistic expectations when the game boasts 3 different paths to choose from. If it had the time and capability to elaborate on every character's backstory and every important history in time, it probably would. "Hoshido was completely in the right, there was no real morally gray thing" For us, obviously. Any normal person with a brain would be able to deduct that Nohr is the aggressor in the story- but from the POVs of the characters, Nohrians believe they are justified in their invasion until they begin to question King Garon's actions. Nobody really lists this as a valid criticism of the game, because it's very clearly implied through-and-through lol.
@jadduck you make a point. I guess I'm just coping because I really really think this game could of been better then 3 houses, if it swapped places. I just really love this game man and it really really could of been something 10 times better
Did anybody else get Skillet vibes when they heard the beginning of this?
I can't help but feel that Laslow, Selena, and Odin should have been playable in Birthright, too. To my knowledge, they were sent to Nohr in the first place to help Corrin, correct? Also, I also associate this with non-recruited Black Eagles in Three Houses.
The alternate theme of every non-recruited character in Crimson Flower.
The Smelting Stick, Wow, this made my day brighter! Thank you!
