I took a couple of days between part one and two to weed whack and mow the property on those real hot days. Felt good to finish the shingles off and not have to go up on that house for a while. Everyone has stories, and so do we. We have stories I can't even try to share, because you just would've had to be there. But this just shows a little how things affected us where we live, and the progress made in the first couple of weeks since the storm. There's many worse off than us, many still without utilities, and those who've lost so much.

I've not shown mowing & weed whacking in a while, thought it was time. Roofing the house is challenging to me in that I'm not steady up there. I don't like going up and down the ladder, nor being on the roof. Getting started is also slow with the learning curve, setting the starting shingles all the way around, getting around the chimney figured out, and the work of the valleys from the entry way. Building the entry way was in the original idea, but was forgotten but then remembered again. so this was kind of on the fly install. Turned out nicely and will serve us well in the future.
