It’s nearly that time of year again folks! It’s creeping up on us already…. Join me once more as I head down to the island of feel good thrills to check what’s happening with the return of ‘FRIGHT NIGHTS’ for 2024! Needless to say it’s going to be a big Halloween season and seeing the park at night and getting to ride the UK's best coaster in the dark is the perfect warm up. Enjoy!

Hey I do want to be pro one day icon has very strong forces I bet all the rollercosters made by mark rides are intense infusion is the best in the UK for me icon is too intense and the smiler might be too intense for me would you give me a hi five if u saw me in person round Blackpool plesher beach
Hey im laura this park is my fave but icon and infusion can upset my tummy sometimes will i have to get used to going on them more i just started to go on big rides like that

I don't get why they didn't build something like detonator. They already have a ride that goes up and down slowly like this; sky drop. Makes no sense to have two of the essentially same rides. Detonator is my favourite ride!
I also would of preferred more of a thrilling drop but then Adventure Island is aimed more at a family market. Maybe Skydrop will soon be removed and its more of a like for like swap?? Lets hope we see the return of some more intense flats like Time Machine and Devils Dance (dragons claw) in the near future for us lot!

The Big one is the shitiest coaster anyway.Its never been the fastest even when it opened.Steel Phantom was the fastest at the time.
Fair enough, I wouldn’t say it’s the worst ever but it certainly isn’t a ride experience I get excited about haha In terms of speed, I’m unsure what the rankings looked like in the 90s, so you know more than me there!

@@CoasterHypeTroy The inversion record was broken twice but the height record stood still ... honestly I can't believe Thorpe did not break the height record with Stealth ... It is quite odd they would have built something so close to taking the record but just not quite there ... I agree, it wont last, I think Hyperia is going to ignite a coaster war in the UK if not all of Europe
@@flashback0978 that is so true why didn’t stealth take the record? Must be a story there - Now I like the sound of a coaster war! Would mean we have some exciting times ahead!
@@CoasterHypeTroy There has got to be a story, it was so close and just fell short, and at the time it was already proven that model could go over twice as high, it has always kind of baffled me and seemed like a missed opportunity - and yes coaster wars seem to be on the horizon for both the UK and US which is amazing and long overdue
@@flashback0978 yeah it’s a weird one alright but they have the title now. If UK Universal does come I hope they build something BIG!! They will want to make a statement with a record of some kind hopefully 🤞

Was incredibly disappointed with this trash ride, its just a bigger croc drop from chessington its so dull
It’s a shame you didn’t enjoy it, I guess for some force in a drop tower we stick to Detonator at Thorpe!
@CoasterHypeTroy it was advertised looking like a thrill ride not a kids that's my hate wouldn't have cared if it was always aimed at kids or families was misleading
@@Jchris26 I see what you mean, maybe there should of been more about in the marketing. Hopefully the more 'thrilling' flats will open again soon (Time Machine and Devils Dance).

Granted it’s not intense or a thrill ride but it wasn’t designed to be - think of it more like Croc Drop at Chessington

Are the Rapids still there?
No sadly not they closed it towards the end of last season, although you can still see the ride standing but not operating on the hill - hopefully another coaster/flat ride replaces it soon👀
I can't wait to ride it in May Half Term.
