GT will always be the best car game, can’t change my mind

I feel for my console brethren. Having to toss money at something you want but only having the choice between shit pie and piss soup just sucks. I don’t think transitioning to pc is an end all answer for everyone, and I also don’t think we should expect anything in the genre to exceed expectations for some time. I’ll add that I don’t hate what we’ve received in the past few years, but I’ve certainly asked “Why did they do this?” far too many times. (Hoping AC Evo will put this comment to shame.)

I have never played any other Forza motorsport, this is my first one and I enjoy it a lot. Recently I played a couple of hours of Gran turismo 7 and hated every single minute. So everything is subjective

I was waiting for this game mainly for the single player campaign. The god awful wheel support, the boring events and the laughably bad AI killed all my excitement. I don't think I'll be ever coming back to it and I have zero hype for the next title.

I like to freeroam in Horizon but it's not how you're meant to play. You're supposed to spend 99% of playtime racing. The open world is only a lobby and a sandbox to test your cars. It's a bit distracting compared to something like Trackmania where you only get a menu with a list of races. You need to get free fast travel and teleport to the events. I think that Horizon 4 & 5 are near perfect games because they're not just games. They're a sandbox simcade platform where you can collect hundreds of cars, create and share tunes, liveries, races, online racing, setting highscores or just play offline with bots. It's just a proprietary platform but there's not much competiton. If you can choose one racing game to pour hundreds of hours into I'd probably choose the latest horizon game. It's very noob friendly. You can play with assists and WASD. Keyboard players need assists but if you turn off assists and get a controller or steering wheel that might be a good gateway into sim racing. Horizon skills don't directly translate to real sim racing but it's better than Need For Methamphetamines

Since they wont allow FM4 to be backwards compatible, inguess I'll have to buy an Xbox 360 to play it again.

I was a die hard fan of Forza from the start. It peaked with Forza 4. The disconnection between the studio/developer with the community is just beyond sad. We have 6 days until Assetto Corsa.Evo

Played Forza since Forza 2 on xbox 360, back then Forza felt like the perfect mix of racing with fun, Gran Turismo felt like a boring simulator on PS3. Forza should have been a launch title for the Series X, but it's failed just like Halo Infinite. It is sad to see how bad racing on xbox consoles has gotten, having played the Project Gotham Racing games, forza 2-4. If Assetto Corsa EVO isn't good with controller (PC here), i'm seriously tempted to buy a PS5 to play Gran Turismo.

Fm4 was peak

Agree on every point. You also forgot to mention game freezes upon controller disconnect(xbox), when restarting console wont resolve this, only reinstall(the whole 100+ Gb). Everything after fm5 was downhill (horizon games not included, different games thhose are and at least some fun).

If Microsoft doesn’t see the outcome and results of both halo infinite and Motorsport caused by their disgusting abuse of contracted workers and immediately end that bullshit, they will sink themselves.

Too easy to get fast and nice cars

Right off the bat, I like this video BUT my small criticism is your costant pausing every other word. It works fine when done every other sentence but gets irritating when done too often. It is my first watch from your channel and is by no means the last.

I've played the game since day 1, completed every event and almost every single weekly playlist, have over 1000 cars in the garage after selling or removing probably over 300 cars, and redeemed most of the car packs. And yet, after 3 years of playing, I hadn't even bought 200 cars in the auto-show. (I know because I was started going after accolades and one of them was buying 400 cars and it tracked your progress) You just get handed so many cars from wheelspins and weekly events that unless there's one specific car you're after, you'll never need to buy one.

Ok so since the realistic racers fell off, can we finally go back to arcade racers like Ridge Racer? :)

Less cars, less tracks, less graphical improvements, less sound improvements, less driving improvements and then they removed split screen. Racing games passed away years ago.

Ive genuinely been disappointed in racing games for like 10 years. Nothing seems like its improving as a game. The campaigns arent better, the racing isnt more cinimatic, theres never story, the online is a crash lobby in every game. In a world where every genre of game sees improvement, evolution, and constant competition in their fields, racing games feel like they've been in the same place for nearly 20 years.

The arguments made in this video can be presented for almost all failing (but once great) games and it would be true.

Funny thing. The fuel is actually tied to the tune. So if you set it to 50% and save the tune, every time you load the tune it's gonna be 50%.

As a long time Forza Motorsport fan, this hurts my heart. I still play this game as much as I NEED to, but it’s not grabbing my attention like the past FM titles.

From my personal perspective, it looks to me like they got people who aren’t necessarily familiar or passionate about the franchise, but are just experts in their field of work. It’s a bit like getting the writing team from a UK soap opera like Coronation Street, to start writing wrestling storylines. It’d never work because they don’t know the first thing about the world of wrestling. They’re just paid to write stories.

I like Forza Motorsport, it's a good SimCade. My advice is to pimp the washed out graphics a tiny bit with NVIDIA Overlay. My FM looks like ACC now :D

Tbh I like this game. I do wish the car sounds were better and they should be. The games on f mod so they could allow players to make car sound mods if they don't like the normal ones and have a workshop for downloading them. Cars like the 458 Ferrari that has a wide body but you can't see it? Huh? Thanks Ferrari for being the asshole once again? Where is the open track days from 7. That's what I enjoyed most about the previous game. I'd play this a lot more if they had that. Like we can't even get a dc5 Acura Integra in game still or a supercharged or turbo cobalt. They have its domestic rival the neon srt4 after all lol Fun game but Jesus man lol

In Horizon 6 i would like to see a slider for population density like in gta, because the game feels empty

Every racing game should take notes from old racing games such as CARBON,MW etc..i see those games have much more details and better sounds than nowdays "racing games"

I don’t think I’ve played a more soulless racing game than forza Motorsport. It doesn’t help that even on pc the visuals look outdated and every car drives similarly

The track list is awful in my opinion. You had all these amazing fictional tracks; Sunset Raceway, Fujimi Kaido; New York Old/New. Where are they?

GT7 has been my game of the generation. It's so well done

I got hacked and the recovery forms dont care for i.d, bank details i use to pay etc.. instead it asks for emails ive sent.. i dont know since ive been locked out for ages 😂 wont let you raise it higher. Im moving to PS. Microsoft is evil. Indian staff very rude too
