I remember first time we saw Christy around 1980 at the Royal Court Liverpool we were courting and it was amazing just being there and listening to the audience singing along - we were 20 and 18yrs old and pretty new to the folk scene. Married in 1984 and celebrating our 40 years soon. “The Voyage” is our song and is a mirror of our life. Our crew have flown the nest now and we actually live aboard our own narrowboat seeing out our last voyage. Peace ✌🏻 and love ❤️

My husband had a heart attack recently and we almost lost him. I love Christy Moore but had never heard this song till recently. It makes me cry but it's also beauitiful. We live in Scotland but I am Irish. Just a beautiful song that spoke to me. We have a crew if two and four beautiful grandweans. So very blessed.
