Fried Chicken LUGAW with Egg Recipe!
Warm, hearty, and full of flavor-let’s make Chicken Lugaw with crispy fried chicken and delicious toppings! This is a classic Filipino rice porridge dish, perfect for cold days or when you’re craving something comforting and filling.
We start by making our fried chicken using only its natural oils, flavored with garlic, fish sauce, and a dash of pepper for that crispy and savory goodness.
For the lugaw, we sauté garlic, onion, ginger, and a chicken cube for a flavorful base. We then add malagkit (glutinous rice), letting it slowly cook until it becomes a thick, creamy porridge. To give it a beautiful golden color, we mix in some egg yellow powder.
Once everything is cooked to perfection, we top it off with a combination of textures and flavors-hardboiled egg, fried tofu, crispy fried chicken, and a sprinkle of green onions. For an extra kick, drizzle some chili oil on top.
Ingredients Used:
