November Rain is awesome and the video is great, but younger ppl have trouble watching things untill the end because of today's fast huge amount of stimulation they get from social media and such. Her question about the video on the middle of it, explains this. We had so better reward for our expectations, or at least, we just calmly waited for it enjoying the moment.

Floor said that she chokes up too easily with this song, the band rewinds, during the sessions, to let her recover.] Mmm, the warmth of her voice. “Last night brought the heaviest of snows” That sad piano about to sink below the ice. “Melting the songs of old” Reminiscences, love of the souls that have gone before. Tuomas wrote this in memory of his father. The pocket watch to wind... The old style film projector, a “Magic Lantern”. The old flickering movies, like memories. Floor soaring away. Celebration of their lives, rather than mourning. Did you get the Tuomas déjà vu references? “I am the snow on your palm” [Storytime?] The way she uses her hands... “I am the secret stream” [Sagan, Shudder Before The Beautiful, Endlessness?] “Moss beneath your feet” [My Walden?] “I am you who climbed off of my back” [Our Decades in the Sun?] “Petrichor” (with a hint of green) [The smell of fresh rain on grass, Last Ride Of The Day, Song of Myself?] “Timeless” (with a hint of a smile) [Perfume of the Timeless?] “To the meadows I go” [Meadows of Heaven?] Then Troy drifts in, with his soft voice, he made up the word, so his pronunciation, is our guide, _right at the end_ of the album. :) An early monochrome movie, restored and colorized, that fascinated Tuomas. This hits straight to your soul, l know. If you wonder, who is the white dressed clergyman in the end. He's the pope Leo XIII (d. 1903). His image is also in the booklet of a physical album (3cd Earbook). He is the first pope in film, and also the first born filmed human (b. 1810). Strange, but interesting. 😅🤘

Pure Floor. I love this song. Btw, this song was Floor's pick for a single, it made her cry when she first heard it (I had the same reaction to this song, it's so touching). Tuomas lost his father a few years ago and he wrote this song out of that emotion. The message is to enjoy life, as it's beautiful and should be celebrated instead of grieved when it ends.

FYI, Floor managed to hit as high as F6. You can hear her hit an E6 on Devil & the Deep Dark Ocean, live in Buenos Aires. And on the other side, in this song you can hear her hit a D3.

Some shots show her with two faces, one looking back like the god Janus (?). Wonderful reaction, I find your love of Nightwish really endearing, it's obviously so true and not effected for views - keep up the good work 🤘 I think this might be the most beautiful song I've ever heard, as a 58 year old Metalhead I can't deny the goosebumps and a tear in my eye with this remarkable song.

Floor recorded her part six weeks after giving birth to Lucy. The crew came to her house to do the recording .. which they had to do around mom taking care of the baby.

Tuomas has mentioned in some interviews at the beginning of the year that there will be more of these lyric videos. And now at the beginning of autumn, he has mentioned that he doesn't know the schedule when they will come out. So we are looking forward to the upcoming videos. Tuomas + his wife Johanna and Troy are writing new music for the upcoming Auri album. The recordings will be this winter and the third Auri album will be released in the spring. In autumn, Auri (Tuomas, Johanna, Troy) will do a European tour playing in small venues. Kai Hahto plays the drums for the album as he did for the previous album. He also goes on tour as a drummer. Floor has her own solo tour in autumn 2025 as well. And bass player Jukka Koskinen also tours, he is a member of the band Crownshift. They will perform, for example, at the Wacken Open Air festival in August 2025. So the band members are busy with different projects. But all of those are events on a smaller scale than what Nightwish's size is on tour. When NW goes on their European tours, for example, it means a group of about 70 people, trucks, buses, vans... It's a big "circus". And they don't want to do something like that now. But the smaller ones are apparently OK.

I prefer the velvet of her low range. Nightwish put aside 2 weeks for Floor to record her parts. She completed them all in 6 days shortly after Lucy arrived. I have the 3 CD Earbook, the album, the orchestral versions and the instrumental versions There are 12 tracks. The album is pronounced "wind" as in a clock, not "wind" as in moving air. Still my favourite track, even though every time I listen to it I change my mind. In the end I'm always waiting for this track. Orchestral arrangements by James Shearman.

My personal song of the year 2024. Top 3 in my NW rating. Whatever guard you have up, when Floor's voice comes in she cut's thru it like a fresh sharpened butcher knife and get's you right into your soul and while your bleeding out you feel satisfied. When Floor goes into her emotional mode you can sleep in the finnish winter outside in the woods and still be warmed by her voice and feel comfortable. Much Love from Germany to you and your passionate reactions!

Thanks for sharing your reaction to a song that Tuomas wrote to celebrate the life of his father, who passed away in 2021. For me it empowers us to recognize our connection to nature and one another, ultimately signifying that even in times of uncertainty, despair & sorrow, there is beauty and hope to be found under the glow of the lanternlight. Tuomas wrote this one after his father died. It is a tribute to the loved ones we have lost. I must have seen the video at least 50 times now, but every time Floor lifts her head to watch the lantern light burning and begins to hum, it gets to me. Besides an extraordinary singing talent, she conveys the emotions of the stories in such a unbelievable way. She is able to do this as she is a high sensitive person. It took several takes to get this song in the bag as she could not hold the tears. When you look close, you can see a tear on her cheek. She would be a sensation on Broadway or certainly would win an Oscar doing any title song for a movie. Producers and directors: WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!!!

Their next will be twice as long and this is symphonic metal and absolutely amazing! Melody self taught on the flute and Sam the violin and they sound like Liliac. I don't hear Kansas or Dream Theater. Paul has great chemistry with the whole family and is a John Bonham in a 17 year old body, definitely far behind his years, it was fate how they even got him. Rock on 😊🤘

Presently they have 7 new songs done for the new album, still working on a few more, should have it all done by early spring if not sooner

Correction: although Carousel is the longest cut on Madness, it is under 4 minutes in length. There are no songs on Madness of 4 minutes in length or longer.
