So these don't like stick to the side of the bowls? Mine aren't real sticky!
i have forgotten how to thread a machine. It's been years.
I made an apron for my aunt one year and used vintage fabric from my great grandmas stash as the pocket on front! Aprons are great easy beginning sew projects and gifts
Or from Roseanne the blanket on the back of the couch.
Looking forward to it!
Staple?
Good idea Andy
Use a blow dryer to smooth out the creases. Abeygale has a very good tutorial on beeswax cookie bags 👍🏼 th-cam.com/video/S1IhhrTDQXI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=AdHYefHaw7KcdbqP
Thank you Ash! I've missed your u tube so much. Saw 2 today. Yay! ❤❤❤
Beautiful work that's how we all got started now we're all hooked on sewing get it girl put the pedal to the medal
I wanna make one
You got a new subscriber!
Can confirm it's a showstopper!!!
Would it be better to wax the material then sew the bag? Or maybe I should ask…can you sew waxed material? I’ve never made one but going to. TY
I think you can, I was slightly worried about it getting my machined gumed up which it why I tried the sew first method. I am sure waxing firs them sewing would be better. Maybe I'll try and see. I could hand sew it!
Cool idea!
Thank you Ashton!❤
That’s cool
It stinks because beeswax has a low smoke point so it was heated too high/too long. Needed to be laid out in a single layer :(
Congratulations on a beautiful quilt! Each piece of fabric tells a story. I love it!
The Native Americans used mullein leaves as toilet paper; also if you dry out the stalk, you can use it as a torch. Burns for a very long time. Good luck with your new channel!!!👍🏼💐🩷
Thankyou!
Nice❤❤
Really cool
Is that typically how gf crust is versus non gf crust? Never made pie crust from scratch
@@TheSassyThrifter yes very crumbly
merhabalar
I love your channel.😊
Thank you! 😊
So far it has helped the kids sleep with no coughing at night
I wanna watch you organize those craft supplies!!!
Def do the cool planter next year!!!!!
Great video love watching and brush your hair
Email me your address @susannavarro18, AshtonDodson247@gmail.com and I'll send you some!
I sent my address but I put las Vegas no instead of Nv
@susannavarro18 i think I got it right lol mailed it earlier.
I emailed you my address. My email starts with 05mommy
I was hoping you had posted an update on how the bags have worked out. I'm especially interested in the practicality of cleaning them.
I need to better coat them with beeswax, using the parchment paper and the iron as mentioned in the comment from @Mrsfalldowgobump . I wipe them down with water after use and let them air dry. Light soap if it gets extra messy.
Cool rug!
@szelop thank you 😊
Your quilt came out so cute! You did a good job! I didn’t see any puckers on the back!
Super cute! I would love the pattern! ❤
L I K E 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 😻🙀😻🙀😻 💯💢💯 ❣ 💯💢💯
I've been waiting for this one!!
Listening to John Denver almost makes me cry thinking of how his life was was lost through alcohol and sorrows 😢
Ooohhhh that purple
Lay the bags between parchment paper and iron making sure to only let your iron come into contact with the parchment. ( you will have a messy iron otherwise) it will melt and redistribute the wax evenly on and into the fabric. For bags, cut a piece of parchment to lay inside the bag to prevent the sides of the bag from sticking together. Yours are very cute!
Thanks for the tips!
@mrsfalldowngobump do you put the beeswax on the top of the sewn bag. Or turn it inside out then do the beeswax. Do you had anything other then the beeswax
Loving the fire time lapse. What a fun vacation!
Just found your channel a few minutes ago. I haven't tried making a quilt "from can to can't" on my current machine, other than a QAYG one with very thin batting (more of a coverlet than a quilt, I guess). I love the country look of your quilt, and that you know the history of all the fabric.
Ooh me adding plants for inside to my list lol
That is a great idea, got to try it. Its important to use a heavier weight thread @ 30 and a denim needle. Please can the music, its too loud and distracting. You also need to service your machine.❤
Looks super yummy!!
You need to put a diabeetus plant in that last one.
Hi
The celosia is so pretty! I'm def buying more next year the one in my front is huge! Love the garden tour very inspiring
It might reseed there nicely for you too!
@@ashtondodson247 ooh that would be lovely
what a good video, thank you so much,, when i started out making quilts i use a very simple brother machine and i loved her so much but then she passed on so i got a janome and i really love her to, a really sweet lady donated her sewing machine to me and it was a brother (oh my heart is happy) anyway i learned early to get a presser foot with a guide but you can also mark a line with painters tape using a index card, the spacing is exactly 1/4"
Ashton you have done a really good job. One suggestion I have for you is to buy a box or 2 of large Safety Pins and use those to hold your quilt sandwitch together instead of straight pins so you won't be sticking yourself.
I will def be doing this next time! Thanks.
That’s awesome! When I doubt support it
Background music takes away from this presentation. Love what she’s done
