Hi my name is Dami and I'm a fourth year medical student at King's College London.
I'm a South Londoner speaking about my journey throughout medical school and also about some healthcare related topics which are important to me.
I also teach multiple mini interviews (MMI) so you can probably expect to see some vids those too.

🇬🇭WE'RE GOING TO GHANA !🇬🇭
We are two final year medical students at King’s College London.
On June the 13th we are flying to Cape coast in Ghana to support an incredible and sustainable medical project. This project aims to support multiple rural villages within the region which lack medical staff and resources including vital lifesaving medications. This medical deployment is being organised by King's College London Orange society and Global Brigades.
We are very passionate about this cause as we believe everyone deserves to have access to adequate and accessible healthcare. We hope you share our beliefs and values and support our cause.
Covid has made this project more expensive and difficult to plan but the opportunity to better the lives of others is one we do not want to shy from and are desperate for your support in.
We are fundraising for:
Resources (medical equipment, utility bills)
Transport for volunteers
Medical supplies and expenses
Please support our cause by sharing and donating to the link in our bios

Getting into medical school without making my offer | King's College London Medical School
มุมมอง 3.1K3 ปีที่แล้ว
I didn't make my offer, BUT THEY LET ME IN ANYWAY🤞🏾. It just goes to show how important the interview process is when applying to medicine. It's not only about the grades you get it's about what you do with them! 🙏🏾 Prod by: @d_larm_
Medicine offer with a 595 UCAT score | King's College London medical school
มุมมอง 11K3 ปีที่แล้ว
A lot of people feel they are doomed if they score averagely or below averagely on the UCAT. This isn't always true, as many other components are taken into account when selecting applicants. If I got this far with so little then who's to say that you can't ? If this one shocked you then just wait till you see the next one. Enjoy the video🤞🏾 Prod by: @d_larm_
MEDICAL STUDENT SAVES BLACK WOMAN'S LIFE DURING LOCKDOWN | ECTOPIC PREGNANCY STORY
มุมมอง 1.7K3 ปีที่แล้ว
A story of how my friend Bo saved our friends life. We feel that healthcare inequalities within the black female population aren't spoken about enough, so we made this video to inform the people on the steps that could be taken to increase the chances of a good medical outcome. Once again a big thank you to our friend for even allowing us to share her story and make this video, I hope this help...
I nearly went blind a month before my exams..... my mum saved me | Humble Beginnings Part 3
มุมมอง 7814 ปีที่แล้ว
The third and final part of this story, probably the hardest thing I had to overcome. I hope people will believe in themselves more after watching this, it's not always easy but it doesn't mean it isn't possible 🤞🏾. Now that we've wrapped up the introductions we can move onto even more important topics 🤝 STAY TUNED 🤞🏾

Growing up in South ain't easy, sharing all this stuff ain't easy either. This is probably just an overview of what my life looked like between year 5 and year 8.
Moving from Poland to South London | Humble beginnings Part 1
มุมมอง 1.7K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Before I started speaking about medical things I thought it was important to share the trials and tribulations in my early life I had to get through to even get to this point. I hope people who have experienced similar things can gain inspiration from these first few videos and hopefully these videos encourage others to share their experiences also. It wasn't easy speaking about all this stuff ...
2440+B3 applying to EMDP wish me luck man😭
i got 2270 B3
do i have a chance with the EMDP
@@sheol4667 im pretty sure someone with 1900 got in once
@@sheol4667 I'd say if kcl is ur aspirational uni then go for it, im not the person to ask as im in your boat haha, did you end up applying?
you have a really nice energy to you, i bet you’re an amazing doctor now this video has calmed me a lot, and i feel this experience differently, i’m literally in the exact same position now as i’ve just finished year 13, got a really low ucat last year and much to my surprise missed my a level grades by quite a bit can i ask how you got into the extended medical program? i was thinking of applying to foundation year courses with my achieved a level grades, but i’m fortunate enough to not really meet any of the eligibility criteria, so it’s looking like a retake which i’m fine with but it’s just long 🥲
Hey, I think me and you are in the same position kinda. I missed out on an offer and got pretty average grades for alevel. Are you thinking of retaking ?
@@isra5871 hey! yes i am submitting my application tomorrow and will be retaking my exams in 2025 i feel this is the best option for me, and i hope and pray it pays off how about you :)
Its important first you give IELTS test
you know that question you got asked about if you know who’s in charge of drugs etc. if you genuinely didn’t know and you told them that you didn’t know would it have been that deep??
Yo bro do u Mock MMI intervies
hi there what’s ur instagram?
What is the highest score possible to score in the main admissions tests for entry into medicine for King's College London?
Exact same boat I’m in bro 🤣
What were the interview questions if u can tell me?
Hey Dr Dami, I have a question. I am reapplying to med and am taking a gap year. Do I put in my ps that I am retaking an a level or will the universities know so I can save the space?
This was nice Dami❤️
Hey, what was you stj band?
Band 1 but they never used it back in my year it was a pilot
Just watched this entire video. What a fantastic use of my time, you are so inspirational. I had a similar situation. Also got 595 on ucat😂 and then rejected by all but one which I got an interview for but in the end didn’t get the offer because they looked at ucat after to eliminate people. I’m nervous for results day in a few days as hopefully I can at least get the grades and reapply next year. Will watch your other vids to see what you did!
Don’t let anybody pressure you on what todo next🙏🏾 hope you got what you wanted
Dr. Dami I want to apply to EMDP, I’ve attended non selective schools for secondary and sixth form in Birmingham. Does EMDP allow students from outside of London to apply?
Which uni was the one to reject u after the offer??
The story with your economics teacher was hilarious 😂
Cmon you gotta do what you gotta do sometimes 🤞🏾😂
Great news
I trust there is no hidden agenda behind this mission because the White man doesn't offer anything for free especially in the field of medicine.

We really appreciate all the support thank you guys and Donateee !!!!

Keep up the good work lads!
Love bro, appreciate your donation ❤️
This video is so timely & needed! Speaking as a final year student midwife and the incidents we see in black women are often things that can definitely be avoided!
I have my EMDP interview next week, do you know if there is any changes to the tips you would give based on this years interview cycle?
Did u get in?
You said they asked you a science question? I thought only Oxbridge does that? Was it alevel based or...?
I think most unis do this just to see your problem solving abilities. It’s always something easy though like gcse level easy.
Anyone done the panel interview? I NEED HELPPPPP
How was it ?
Can I get in with BBC CHEM maths bio respectively and 630 UCat
You never make life decisions when you’re reeling from a loss, so weird how teachers always force us to go through clearing when we’re not in the right state of mind
word
inspirational story well done and good luck in the future
God is too man😩😩😩I loved this
I want to do dentistry, ucat 630 but band 3, should I still apply to kings or not? Queen Mary uni london I’m also planning to apply to
hey howd it go
Hi, how do you apply for a widening participation at KCL??
What did you get in sjt
Not I was telling siri to call mum 🤣 Proud of you man!!
Hi ! Grreat video by the way !! Do you think i have a shot with 575 as my score ? and Band 2
Lol i got 595 on my ucat still want to apply to kings.
Did u get in
hey sorry to bother you, but at the time you applied for medicine at kcl was the entry requirements a* aa or just aaa? this would help me a lot pleasee and you applied for medicine not extended medical degree programme right?
Hey, The first time round when you applied, what were your final predicted grades you sent off to the kcl for emdp??? I'd love a reply pleaseeeee
3As, I did biology, Chemistry and economics
@@DrDami-fb8bd thank youuu, do you know if it's possible to get into kcl for edmp with grades predicted lower than the entry requirements?
I’ll be honest I’ve got no clue regarding that, I think you will be best off emailing to find out
how many of the widening access criteria did you meet if you don’t mind me asking ?
So when I was applying the only criteria was to live in London and not have attended private school, I met both of the conditions.
Wow amazing Dr
Haha I’m still a student but thank you 💪🏾
looool man said u told ur teacher the ucat is out of 600. Nahh that killed me. Sick, insightful video bro
Love bro, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do 🤞🏾😂
Lool I can't believe your teacher actually believed the 595/600 score on the UCAT 😂😂😂also what band did you get on the sjt? Do the emdp admissions team look at the sjt band? Thank you for this informative video!!!
😂😂😂 cmon! Erm I think I got band 1 but when I applied it was the first year they introduced it so it never counted, not too sure about how it is now tho
@@DrDami-fb8bd thank you for the reply bro I was just asking because I kinda screwed up on SJT but hopefully I can still apply for emdp!
No worries bro, so in the past all kings did was eliminate the lowest 10% of people from the applicants. That’s all the UCAT was used for. I don’t know how they use the bands but I don’t reckon it’s strict, I’d say email and ask
@@DrDami-fb8bd thank you deffo gonna email them bro! We need another video from you ASAP!!!!!
Did you do the extended medical degree programme?
Yes I am now in my final year of the degree
@@DrDami-fb8bd thank you for your reply, was the 6 years worth it?
Haha I’m in my final year rn, after finals I’ll let you know 😭😂
