Swami Sarvapriyananda | How does religion help us with our daily struggles?
In an interaction with Swami Sarvapriyananda, we get to learn about spirituality in different aspects. Starting with religion helping us to deal with uncertain situations, to how can Karma Yoga be performed diligently, Swamiji takes us through a tour of our own capabilities, ones we were perhaps unaware of.
Some of the questions asked in the interaction were:-
- How can the atheists and agnostics rely on religion, a concept they don't believe in?
- While performing Karma Yoga diligently, does one reach a state where one no longer strives to attain salvation and doesn't differentiate between being in the body and salvation?
- How are Prana, Pranayama and breathing interrelated?
- Are Advaita and Vishist Advaita intertwined and strung together? How can a spiritual seeker benefit from it?
- For the general mass that is usually worldly, would Gyana Yoga have a personalised approach than Bhakti Yoga?
- In the Bhagavat Gita, Bhagavan isn't in favour of renunciation of one's duties. However, isn't solitude essential for spiritual awakening?
- Lastly, a lot of people have been talking about mental health issues, what's your take on it?
I have recorded a concise form of the talk and have released it in the form of a podcast.
