I find the same type of wire all the time I usually sell it as #2 copper I get tons of it if I go to the right dumpster.

Why all the extra steps? You could have dissolved the foils in aqua regia and added sulphuric acid to get rid of any lead,then filter and precipitate the gold out and wash then melt. Cool video tho,thanks for showing a different way to refine.
