Mechano-Pneumatic Ammunition-less Rotating Barrel Machine gun
มุมมอง 66ปีที่แล้ว
The underlying rationale of the mechano-pneumatic machine gun is the fact that the "fuel-weight equivalent" of providing the necessary kinetic energy for projectile firing is lighter than the mass of the equivalent smokeless propellent, reducing logistic and transport burdens. In other words, the mechanical energy required to compress air to the same pressure than the smokeless powder in terms ...

This video is completely wrong. It's an excruciating video to watch, with the same points repeated over and over again to reach the wrong conclusion. 11:03 "Greenhouse effect is an energy recycling mechanism, trapping mechanism" This is correct 13:13 "You ever make a 1 million kelvin furnace from a 500-watt heater" Yes, you can? You just assumed 100% insulation so why not? 500 watt is 500 joules / second, 1 celcious = 1 joule. The heater will reach 1 million kelvin in 278 hours. 14:14 The presence of the 100% insulation furnace, assuming the heater does not break and has an infinite energy supply, will eventually result in a black hole created from pure energy. Let's see where you go with this question. 14:34 "It keeps getting hotter and hotter than it creating mass essentially from nothing, it's violating the conservation of energy, even the conservation of matter" E=mc^2 ENERGY IS MASS. Yes if something gets hotter from an outside source (for example the sun), it actually increases in mass. The sun is losing FOUR MILLION TONS OF MASS PER SECOND through mass-to-energy conversion from fusion. Some of the mass gets added to the earth through radiation. 24:10 to the end is completely wrong, no, the atmosphere does not have a fixed transparency or translucency because of an increase in greenhouse gases.
#1 Yes, you can? You just assumed 100% insulation so why not? 500 watt is 500 joules / second, 1 celcious = 1 joule. The heater will reach 1 million kelvin in 278 hours. No, you just conflated energy with power, that's very silly. Power is not additive over time, a 100 kW engine does not produce 1000 kW in hour, it produces 100 kilowatt-hour, a unit of energy, not power. A 1 Watt motor can produce 100 kWh, but a 1 W/h motor cannot produce 100 kW. You're very confused if you think a 500 Watt heater radiating say 500 W/m2 can produce 1 million Kelvin which would be billions of kW per m2 unless you concentrated the light infinitely with mirrors which is still impossible. The rest of your comments are meaningless so I won't bother replying.
@ @ in your comment why do you think a 100kw engine only produces 100kwh? Ps. kWh is a unit of energy not power 1 kWh = 3,600,000joules 100kw = 100000 joules per second 100kwh = 360000000 joules Which takes the engine 3600 seconds (1hr) to produce 100 kwh So you are saying the 100kw engine HAS TO STOP running after 1hr and be recycled
@@ChristophePocharihello waiting for answer on why 100kw engine can only produce 100kwh of energy
@@joshguan8672 Which takes the engine 3600 seconds (1hr) to produce 100 kwh So you are saying the 100kw engine HAS TO STOP running after 1hr and be recycled? 100 kWh will never produce 200 kW unless it happens in 0.5 seconds, 100 kWh is 100 kW per second over 1 hour. 100 kWh could produce a gigawatt of power in a microsecond, like a flywheel grid stabilizer that produces a tiny pulse of power. In order to keep the Earth hotter, you need POWER, not energy, because radiant flux is not measured in joules but joules per second per square meter. The Earth is not a battery it's an engine, a continuous absorption and emission of power is needed. I said that 100 kW engine can produce 100 kWh in one hour but a 1 watt hour battery cannot produce 100 kW of power. You're confused about energy and power not me.
@@ChristophePochari100% insulation means 0 w energy lost and emissivity ε = 0. (The container does not absorb energy and all energy is dumped into the insulated space) 500w heater will continue to dump energy until the confined space reaches 1million kelvin.
What is the reason for this experiment? what do you aim at achieving?
that seems self evident in the title, to add some fuel to the fire which is the fraud of the greenhouse effect.
Be careful you are smart be very careful
The avg person would not benefit from trig in say 1880. Assembly of a rifle would have a poor correlation of G. Overall I agree 1 SD is nuts 1/3 of an SD yes 2/3 maybe.
Tell me you're paranoid without telling me your paranoid.
So what if you didn't go full 1000 degrees F and just focused on something more doable like 300 degrees? Or what if you injected massive amounts of water to turn into steam to build cylinder pressure but also keep the engine cooler?
This is a predictable result as there is no source of anomalous heat. Effectively the radiation emitted is in equilibrium with the radiation reflected ∆ Q=(T hot - T cold) Q = 0. The GHE has never been validated by any science. We are not in a climate crisis but in a crisis of stupidity.
I think The Otis T Carr craft is kinda cheap, safe to replicate and it's kinda low cost to make.

I never expected to get so many views and feedback on what I had initially viewed as only a mediocre idea! The idea was to design a firearm that could be build entirely from available materials and use common combustibles as propellants, without the need to build shells, primers, and smokeless powder, which is difficult to synthesize. I never suggested that somehow cumbersome liquid fuel propellants were superior to age old gunpowder, but that it offered a solution against restrictions and gave users flexibility. The idea was to use bottled compressed oxygen along with a sufficiently volatile hydrocarbon of some sort to generate deflagration or standard combustion like in a diesel engine. While it would probably not achieve the muzzle velocities of smokeless powder, drawing from the fact combustion light gas guns using hydrogen/oxygen achieve muzzle velocities of 3000 fps, we could perhaps achieve 500 fps, enough to make it a viable firearm. I would love to see someone build a functioning prototype and solving some of the technical issues.
Hey, if you got it to work, I'm sure DARPA would hire you.
Fantastic
I smile at the speaker's 1980 dress style. An intelligent person knows how to use a microphone properly. Slides are awful. High IQ people are liberal, like immigration, are atheists (point 5). The author does not have any issue with this point. I would call such a person naive. That is a problem. Nevertheless, the speaker is brave. All credit to him for taking a flight against university censorship.
high IQ people are merely more skilled at adopting social norms, so they embrace prevailing political ideologies with greater skill.
@@ChristophePochari But the speaker also says that high IQ-people are better at moral decisions. Accepting any social norm might improve a person's life chances but it is hardly the moral thing to do.
Trickle immigration of the productive or mass-immigration of freeloaders to the Welfare system? Which do intelligence people prefer?
personality traits are not the same for all intelligent people. geniuses have higher propensity for antisocial traits than very intelligent people for example.

One of the most racist, elitist, ignorant, arrogant, and condescending lectures I've ever heard. I wish Christopher Hitchens was still alive to put this guy in his place.
Wow, TH-cam took down my comments. FREEDOM! A commodity only realized by the ultra rich. 🤦
Would you consider crime low intelligence, or desperation, due to their environmental and economical conditions?🤔
Think about it for a minute.
He lost me at "Attractive people are more intelligent"... This guy is not the cream of the crop, based off of "Beauty", so he must be an idiot. He lost all credibility, not only in the statement I pointed out, but also in his other analysis.🤦🤡 P.S. Arrogance hinders intelligence, and promotes stupid/fullish decisions.
I'm pretty sure we could go to the Moon again if we had the will to do that. I don't think we're that stupid yet.

And what if that storage unit gets shot?
If you are using a bi-propellant this wouldn’t mix the fuel and oxidizer well, and if monopropellant, this would be extremely unsafe.
Nice concept, was looking at a spookston video for gas guns and the liquid idea came to mind nice to see someone with the same thing in mind and how you do these simulations?

The poor had limited food choices and ate off wooden platters with wooden spoons which are difficult to clean properly. Yet, there would also be many sons of the rich who would go off to war to prove themselves. Or make their fortunes as mercenaries. Or, because there was not much choice of work.
Could you use gasoline as a propellant I wonder how effective would it be as a t for bullets just blow up in your face

Very nice!
Issues i see. Low fire rate if badly mantained. Not safe. Needs a lot of usulation. Propelent being inconsistente. Size, needs room for fuel tank. And extra roof
It is just a combustion fueled air gun. A great idea. Anyone could make this given time and effort without the need for controlled materials such as gunpowder. The problem is how much power it can produce. This would be a great TH-cam video. Something to the effect of 1000Psi is a fraction of what you need to fire a rifle projectile but if you took into account compression and volume, using the barrel to exhaust gas could be used. A traditional trigger connected to a park plug. (You would never connect it to an engine of course, because automatic firearms are illegal) but timing one of an engine with a clutch could be done. Given the ability to make that much pressure.
It has similar idea of v3 super gun
