I swear he and the girl in white have some magical connection when he sings this. He keeps looking over and they share a look as she gets off the metro. Electric
Pretty brunette girl on his left wanted to "Get It On" by the looks of things. haha. I hope they hooked up. Can't leave that kind of attraction hanging in the air only to dissipate.
I like him much better without the guitar and the cover songs. He has found his own profound sound. I would never think he was capable of the music he makes now if this was all I had ever seen of him. He has grown enormously.
so are you aware that you filmed Benjamin Clementine before he became hugely successful and famous? The video you uploaded of him singing on the train is awesome and it's kind of crazy that you filmed and uploaded it a few years before he released his debut album and won a mercury prize. It's crazy that we get to see him before his fame through your filming of a stranger on a train so thank you for that.
this is one of the most powerful videos I've watched on TH-cam. To watch him in public, performing to people who could never have known the success and fame he would go on to achieve, is quite something. I know that when I hear a busker, although I enjoy their music, usually don't assume they will have a mercury prize under their belt in a few years. I've also heard him say (in 2016), he can't stand in one spot in Paris for too long before somebody approaches him about his music. So this video is truly quite something. Thank you for filming and uploading. You couldn't have known what you were filming at the time.
this one is to all those still on that long walk to self actualisation in these last days of 2020. It's all consuming that is why we steadfastly holding on to it till it all makes sense.
I love this, so much! I love Marvin Gaye's tune and this rendition is soulful! Check these artists I recorded at the Paris Metro, some 20 years ago: th-cam.com/video/gqE6WH4H3eA/w-d-xo.html
There is so much talent on the SBahn in Berlin. I am amazed by it. Benjamin Clemantine is very famous now. I saw him live in Berlin and thousands of people were in the audience ❤❤

Oh my god the fact that he is so underrated persuades me that we don't know what is art anymore
Benjamin Clementine is a millionaire by now...
@@ernestito2222 Doesn't change the fact that he was homeless and poor before. He got lucky. There's a lot of good lost talent out there, sadly.
