Interesting, I didn't know hall effect didn't need software. But it does seem that every HE controller uses software, and the good ones need to be calibrated to be precise. The fact that my Gamesir sticks need to be calibrated tells me there's something extra going on between my input and the controllers output. Potentiometers are dead precise and never need to be calibrated. Why do HE sticks need to be calibrated?

@@acfire9227 many of these companies are notorious for adding built in dead zones to their controllers so they can market the whole "stick drift free" gimmick. TMR sticks like the Gamesir Tarantula pro you mentioned in the video seem to be the step up to hall effect sticks, hopefully more brands use them.

@@itsprod.472 Exactly, your dead on correct. The problem is a ton of people simply aren't good enough to feel the built in deadzone or response curve throwing them off. For example, when I tested the Razer Wolverine v2 chroma I could tell immediately that it had built in deadzone's. I loved the controller, but the deadzone's made it unusable. They of course did that so casuals didn't complain about stick drift.

What's 12bit 4096 samplin? Thanks man I appreciate it! Yes, from my tests they are about 5x higher resolution than the Kaleid. But the Kaleid isn't that bad either compared to bad Hall Effect sticks. I've been using the Kaleid since my Tarantula broke and shooting straighter if anything because I'm more comfortable on Xbox layout + custom trigger stops. I do think the Tarantula is better, it sort of feels smoother like 240fps compared to 144, not a must have but smoother. I still haven't peaked on the Tarantula so that's why I'm back and fourth on my opinion, the trigger stops are annoying me more than they should be. But with custom trigger stops and a couple weeks of practice I should be final on the Tarantula.

@@acfire9227 man its a shame to hear about the Tarantula, you should ask for a refund or a new one, that shouldn't happen with a pro controller I have had a G7 SE for over a year and it's still as good as new. and I'm waiting for the Cyclone 2 with TMR that I ordered through AliExpress

Definitely, they are very nice. I'll make a test video for you today with hard evidence. BUT, I still think default PS5/PS4 Sticks may be better. It'll take me like a year until I know for sure, it's really close if anything.

Haha, thanks Hessmo! The measurement is the minimum distance for it to register. We want the pull to be as short as possible for obvious reasons so that's why we measure beforehand. You can measure in game or in your controller software depending on the controller you're using. Once again you're measuring where the trigger registers so you can make the range of motion as short as possible. It's super easy when you actually do it

How will the control be afterwards in the plastic? Does it wear down a lot or did you choose a softer piece of plastic for this?

@@HoPPa8SkiT I've been super happy with the results, and no the plastic doesn't wear down.

It's completely impossible for them to remove aim assist in the game. But it is possible that you perform better on alps sticks.

@@rSiilo Gamesir has a full breakdown on their website. You need a windows 11 pc, but it'll stay on 1000hz when you plug it into your xbox

@@acfire9227 Like the adjusters in the app for the triggers, my left trigger in profile one works just fine where I can put the initial to zero and the max adjuster to 1, but when I did that with the right trigger, it looks like it made both the adjusters into one and now it doesn't let me move it and it says 255 without me testing it

Idk if there's a solution to this because it still hasn't fixed

@@rossisusingunagitopivothis1776 Sounds to me like you're adjusting it in the Xbox app. Try adjusting it with the app on a PC, you can use a mouse to be more precise

Kaleid is more comfortable. G7SE is probably better. I'd go T4K for PC, G7SE for Xbox if you're going to use 1000hz

No, you can get 1000hz on the G7se. Just gotta set it up on a windows 11 pc, there are tutorials on the gamesir website. It works on Xbox. Not certain, but I heard xim’s can increase input delay so I’d stay away from that. Not sure what you’re using it for anyway lol. I doubt Xim’s 1000hz mode is real, that sounds impossible to me, but I could be wrong.

I don't know if you can access this link here, because you have to register. more literal and two guys arguing about whether or not the 1000 hz on the xim matrix works, and I believe it works. I would like your opinion if you were able to access this link

more about what you said above about being able to set 1000 hz on Windows 11, does it only work for PC or does it work for the Xbox console too?

@@Flak12 It worked on Xbox for certain a couple months ago, the photo techy tested it with a 240fps camera in slow motion. Also, in my opinion it works on Xbox. But Xbox appears to not like gamesir controllers having such an advantage, so who knows if it will work forever.

@@Flak12 Also, you can't really feel 1000hz unless you're playing a game you're extremely good at. I can clearly feel it on Apex. I can't feel it on other games but I do perform better with 1000hz on other games.
