obviously for the roads you are driving on in this video I wouldnt even consider to be offroad. what about REAL offroad, like soft deep dry sand?

Better go off road with off road tires on a 2wd car than go off road with street tires on a 4wd car.

So I have a similar engine in my Cherokee Trailhawk because I have the 2.4 and I can tell you right now if you do the math.... The engine that you would have to have to have the same power and I had a motor range would be about 500hp... Because my transfer case multiplies by 2.93 So 2.93 x171 is 501.03 torque. So that's what I would have to have going into my transmission to have the same torque without a transfer case that I have with one... So not just a V8 , a VERY good V8 is what it would take to replace the low range power I have, not to mention , slower crawl speed. With the 56:1 low range with 171 engine torque, it's producing 9576 lbs of force to move forward. Probably triple what the Jeep patriot does or what even a Compass trailhawk would do. Gearing is a VERY big deal. No turbo on the planet will replace low range , so even if you have a turbo and take it to 300 torque, it's still like half the wheel torque that you'd get from a good transfer case. No comparison. That means the bronco sport or the compass trailhawk will never make the wheel torque that I can make. No debate. Miles apart.
