Hmmm. Are you sure the catalyst causes faster “drying”? Typically, two phase paints utilizing a catalyst “set” like concrete. They do not “dry” like single stage paints. You can confirm this by mixing paint/finish with its catalyst then sealing in an air tight container. The mixture will set regardless of air exposure.
Krystal Sealer has been designed to start its cross-linking (drying) with the addition of 10% (12.8 ounces per gallon) of M.L. Campbell C1491 Care Catalyst. Always mix catalyst in thoroughly before application. No waiting time is necessary before using this catalyzed product after catalyzation. Krystal Sealer has best performance properties if used before 8 hours. Explain crosslink in 2 part urethanes Crosslinking in 2-part urethanes refers to the chemical reaction that occurs between two components, commonly referred to as Part A and Part B, to form a strong and durable network of interconnected chains. This crosslinking reaction is essential for the curing or hardening of the urethane material. Part A of the urethane system typically consists of a polyol, which is a liquid or solid polymer with hydroxyl (OH) groups. Part B, on the other hand, contains a diisocyanate, which is a compound with two reactive isocyanate (NCO) groups. When these two components are mixed in the correct ratio, a chemical reaction known as polyurethane synthesis takes place. During this reaction, the isocyanate groups in Part B react with the hydroxyl groups in Part A, resulting in the formation of urethane linkages. This process is known as urethane crosslinking. The crosslinking reaction is typically catalyzed by a catalyst, such as a tin compound or amine, which helps facilitate the reaction between the isocyanate and hydroxyl groups. The crosslinking reaction is crucial for the final properties of the urethane material. It leads to the formation of a three-dimensional network of interconnected chains, which enhances the material's mechanical strength, chemical resistance, and overall durability. The degree of crosslinking can be controlled by adjusting the ratio of Part A to Part B, as well as the curing temperature and time. In summary, crosslinking in 2-part urethanes refers to the chemical reaction between the polyol and diisocyanate components, resulting in the formation of a strong and durable network of interconnected chains. This crosslinking reaction is essential for the curing and hardening of the urethane material, leading to improved mechanical and chemical properties.🙄
The rapid pump feature (i.e. second piston) raises the pallet quickly without a load. Once a sufficient load is reached the jack operates just like the "old" school floor jacks.
thanks !!!! good info !!
You're an amazing craftsman! You got me with the cat bed though 😂😂😂. I was like, 'I thought this was a cabinet video!!!'...even though I was already 15mins in I quickly looked back at the title.
got to through in a little funny now and then to keep your attention !! Thanks much for the comment !!
You sir, make an outstanding instructional video. The use of the inset for closer detail was excellent. I’ll check out your other videos and thanks again for creating useful and to the point content.
thanks so much for the complement !!
after you done the polishing.. i was curious why you didn't decide to put a ceramic coating on this car
two reasons (1) I am old school. I have never applied ceramic coating before. (2) I wanted to create a video that the average person felt comfortable in doing. The machine and chemicals were affordable and readily available at the local harbor freight store.
Cool
Thank you !!!

isnt there grounds to the speakers by the amp too?
There were no grounds coming from the origonal head unit to the original amplifier. The grounds to the speakers were coming from the amplifier only. There were only 4 hots coming back. So I ran a 4 wire back from the new head unit for the grounds. hope that clears it up. but thanks for the comment !!
I love your video. Great advice and a great review. Can't wait to try it.
ahhhh thank you !!!!
Is Flexstone suitable for steam showers?
Good question ! The product is about 1/4" thick plastic and then a color sheet is applied on top of the substrate. I do not know if the adhesion is heat activated. I am a retested dealer for sentril. I have reached out to customer service for there input. May be after the holidays i hear back from them . But i will keep you posted !!
Appreciate it 👍
Best video ive seen on the Hercules!! I like you used everything you purchased from Harbor Freight 👍 Cant like this enough

I am a 1000% beginner. I’ve been on youtube for the last 5 hours trying to find a decent all around video of how to get started. This has been the best video I’ve found. You should have a millions of subscribers by now.

Awesome video. Thanks for the comedy you added in the video. The forklift was just as funny as the empty box. Please make more tool reviews. God bless.

what does it mean to scribe your corners?
After you have the back wall up. Take your side wall piece and hold it up to your back wall piece. There may be a gap between the two. So you take your scribe ( like a Childs compass) set your scribe to the widest point. Run it down along your back wall. This will put a pencil mark on your side panel. This is what you to cut, plane or sand off to get a tight joint. Hope this helps
@ ahh thank you. Got it! Thanks for the video. Will be setting mine up soon did you glue the shower floor/base down too?
@@fernando651 No the base has about a 2" flange to screw it to the wall. I use screws made for hardie backer. ( thick and no rust )
HEY TIP CAN YOU CHANGE THE 6 INCH BACKING PLATE TO 5 INCH
In doing some research it is not mentioned on Harbor Freight site. In digging deeper The "internet" says that Hercules tools are manufactured exclusively for harbor freight buy a company called Global Machinery Company. Researching them does not provide a lot of information. Sorry I could not be more helpful🙄
Great video. And everything is available at harbor freight.
thank you !!!

I have done a lot of business with Conestoga over the years as well. Sometimes just for doors or drawer boxes but also for these RTA cabinets. Everything that you said regarding their quality and customer service is 100% on point. I've never had a bad experience with them. Been retired for a while now but I about to order another kitchen from them for a customer. Restless hands, lol
yes amazing company , amazing product, amazing customer service team! And yes I to find it hard to slow down after a lifetime of working.😀

Curious how you handled the smaller areas with those large pads. I have the older HF da and it bogs down on body lines. I was thinking about getting the forced rotation model but don't want the larger 6" pads.
yes a few areas i had to work by hand. I am considering a smaller unit for those tight areas.
which pad grade did you use for the wax and what speed
Thank you for the video
you are quite welcome. have been meaning to combine the 6 vedios into one with chapters. some day
I just picked up the Hercules yesterday for $89 from HF via coupon. Love the video. Great info
SHWEEET. I love a bargain ! My wife calls be just plain cheap. But to get that quality product at that price AMAZING !!! enjoy your new toy !!😁
thank you so much for the video , i did have a question which finishing pad did you use? I cant seem to find the warrior anywhere online or at harbor freight.. i did purchase the rest of the products you detailed in the video and look forward to seeing how it comes out
So sorry on the delay getting back to you ! You are right I did a search and the only way to find the pad was on eBay. I assume warrior stopped making it. Because Bauer did not have a waxing pad, ( the reason i went to the warrior.) I did notice on amazon that McGuire's offers a polish pad. keep me posted on how things turn out 😄
I am so grateful for this Video.. I bought the same Harbour Freight Polisher, Pads, and MeGuiar's Compound & Polish as demonstrated by you.. The Claying process did an amazing job lifting the dirt & debris particles out of the Paint.. I also cleaned the exterior after this process as well.. I made my own IPA solution which I used after the Polishing Step -- this really cleaned up the little smears and excess compound and Polish... Where I did a bit different was the Waxing portion.. I used a Wax called Pinnacle Souveran which I applied by hand, and is easily wiped off almost immediately after application with a MIcrofibre Towel... Incredible product..You were also spot on as far as time --- it took me just under 7 hours to do the work (including Trim & Windows)... The Truck I did was my 2000 Red F150 Lightning.. It came out absolutely stunning...This Vid gave me the confidence and great instruction to do this -- which was my first time... Thanks for posting
I am so happy to hear you enjoyed the video and followed the process. I will have to check out the wax you mentined. always looking easier and better products !! thanks for the comment !!😁
I will be making my purchase based on your video, excellent job.. Thank you!
Thanks sooo much !! You will not be disappointed !! Its a great tool. You can find out more on my video where i review the tool
Don, I’m glad I came across your videos. As a young guy in this trade I appreciate you passing on your knowledge.
Thank you Steve. So nice to be apricated !!
Any problems with the print heads if you don't use it for a while?
i had some ink left in a old printer, so new printer set for 3 months. thats the longest it set, no problems in a 3 month time frame
This is the video I needed to find! No fancy crap with all the other tutorials, just a guy getting down to it and showing us how it’s done. I got all the products you have in the video minus the Hercules polisher. I went with Bauer and am a lot more confident about polishing my vehicles thanks to your video.
So Glad it helped !!
Looking at the tool in store, the speed adjustment dial felt very plasticy cheap and not tactile and clicky like some of their other polishers…did this bother you at all when using? I think I’m down to this or the Dewalt cordless(I know you mentioned your a Dewalt guy too)…did you consider that one too in your buying decision?
The speed dial has just enough (clicky fill) to hold it nicely into place. But moves with very little effort. What I really like is the placement. The manufacture has it placed in a very comfortable position to adjust with your thumb. That having been said... i am a cabinet maker with well over 100 dewalt tools. my wife refers to me as a dewalt whor.... well you get the jest. I was spectacle at first but after many hours of use polishing with this tool it convinced me. I would not hesitate to try another hercules tool !! :). it was WELL worth the money !!!
Hello…just wondering, I’m getting ready to paint my existing cabinet boxes and after thoroughly cleaning is it necessary to prime them? I’m going to be painting them satin white.
To make a recommendation it would depend on how you are painting your cabinets. If you are painting them with latex paint and a brush. The first thing I would do is not only to clean them. But areas around the range you would want to remove any grease build up . Those areas I would clean with denatured alcohol. Also areas around hardware. If you fell a stickiness in those areas you are seeing a break down of finish. Those areas must be removed of finish. Next purchase fine sanding sponges from Sherman Williams ( 3 m brand). Scuff sand the entire cabinets and doors. ( you are not removing the finish you are giving the paint something to cling to) a good sign is that you are dulling the finish. Next primer then pain 2 coats of paint. If you have taken the cabinets down and you are going to spray them then… prepare the same as above then use M.L.Campbell clawlock primer let dry 45 min. scuff sand. Then two coats of M.L.Campell paint 45 mininites between coats. Wait 1 hour then 1 coat of M.L. Campbell Krystal dull ( this is a clear top coat with about a 15% sheen) all of the recommended M.L.Campbell products I recommended are post catalyzed ( this requires 10 percent catalyst ) ) Hope this helps !! If you are spraying in a area above 75 degress i would add 10 percent of M.L.Campbell retarder to all the finishes ( slows dry time)
Got a quote to do some paint correction on an older car. They wanted $900 plus $300 for a ceramic coat. If you have a low-risk project like mine, can't see why it's not worth at least being cautious and patient by grabbing the HF items to do the job yourself. Even if it takes me 6 hours to do the car, after subtracting costs, I'm still coming out $100 / hr in my time, and the tool is free at that point.
When I was younger I hand waxed my cars. BUT this process brings a hole new life to paint. Yes it is time consuming but the results are priceless. I have purchased tools my entire life. I was a little apprehensive when buying this polisher BUT the quality is astounding !!
@@ThatISPerfection Thanks for the review. Picked one up yesterday. Perfect timing because harbor freight had a coupon for this polisher for $100 before tax.
@@JulietHotelFoxtrot WOW nice . Enjoy you will love it

I bought this after watching your video. This really IS a great machine at a bargain price. I'm still trying to figure out what the 2 included phillips head screws are for.
Awesome video. I have been a fan of the original Flex 3401 but am going to buy this polisher because its suppose to be just like it at a way cheaper price. Never used there pads will give them a try very nice video.

What size shop do you have?
shop is 38 x 60 if you include the area that is elevated where small equipment is on and also the compressor behind the door to the left and restroom that is about 8x8 by compressor. Thanks for question. Its small but I ma proud of, have turned a lot of beautiful jobs out of there !!
