Been 12 times now, love es cana, we usually stay at the Ereso, but also stayed at the apartments above marvents, beautiful location with beach bars and a very mellow atmosphere suited to familys....so nice to have beach bars where you can enjoy a lovely lunch while enjoying the beautiful views of the ocean, great beach for children, it dont get deep very quick so its reasonably safe, my young kids wore thier life vests and actually learnt to swim in the very calm water, which to this day is a memory that i will never forget, one of my favorite bars is Popeyes bar which is just down the road from the Ereso, it regulary has good entainmant and a very child friendly attitude, Tony the owner is a lovely guy, my children would often be treated to crisps and ice creams from toney totally free of charge which of course made my children very happy..Thier is also another bar in a lovely location between the 2 beaches, so if you walk down the beach towards the Miami hotel you can go around the rocks towards the other beach, just as you come to the next beach there is a bar sitting up on your left, lovely place with good views out to sea and over the beach, be warned though where the es cana beach is very calm and safe the beach below can be quite wavey and dangerous with undercurrants so if your not a strong swimmer be warned, people have died there, so please watch out for the red flags, i personally have had plenty of fun in the waves with my daughters and have not had a problem, if your not comfortable on a wavy beach stick to the es cana beach its lovely. Everybody thinks when you metion Ibiza that it is party town central, people that is San Antonio, this is another world, this resort is beautiful with friendly bars and mainly familys and 30 plus age group, no yobbos just totally chilled out holiday...... i recommended a coleague from work go there, he went and stayed at the Aluasol, which is right on the beach, he loved the location and said it was the best place he has ever been and cant wait to go back, i knew he would like it but wasn't surprised when he said he loved it.....Think i need to book again.....Ibiza is special, just one more thing to note, if you want chilled during the day but want a couple of party nights then you can get a cab anywhere the island is only 22 miles by 11.. so no where is out of bounds, go clubbing at the super clubs come back and chill in es cana....The world is your oyster as they say.
