I move from FF to Nowa and don't regret. Besides being a nocoder, and having a longer learning curve, their hybrid mode to see the code as you use the visual builder is a huge differential for me. I am migrating my app and being impressed how easy it is. The video is showing the lastet version. The new one has a much better action logic interface. Use Xano as backend and is working flawless.

Just be away that it often happens that a release is something that really deceives the community but this is not the reason to drop everything because you could identify another development platform with interesting features. Flutter is far away ahead any it’s competitors and they for sure will find a way to revert to something better and even more powerful than it was. Nowa is just a newcomer with just good features but starting from scratch, being far away from success and the probability that Nowa will still be alive in 5 years is close to zero. Being experienced and mature is helpful. You should be more positive and try to find tips and tricks to turn around what’s going wrong now, just waiting for the major upgrade that will make flutter definitely unbeatable. That’s logical and this should inspire your personal philosophy. Everyone can understand your disappointment. However, life is a journey during which we all have to fight against such problems.

What is the practical utility of Material Design icons if they are considered one of the most boring and outdated options available for real app design, with limited (if any) application in real-world, commercial projects? A good find and a nice breakdown. Both companies started in 2020, but FF’s social following and TH-cam videos far exceed Nowa’s presence. While occasional hiccups are expected when building large-scale tools-provided the team learns and adapts-FF seems to be on the right track. Though they started slowly, they're making significant improvements. Their next steps should be to refine existing features before adding new ones, with a strong focus on community engagement. Let's see what comes next.

Novva is great i use it all the time to build front ends and it's so flexible you can code anything that's not native

I spent an year developing my app idea in flutterflow. Not that it was limited with many things and you could get most things done with custom widgets, functions etc. But what I realised is that what you ultimately get is a MVP. At this day and age it’s much better to spend 10-20$ on cursor, windsurf or spend the money on 3.5 sonnet and just build the app literally from the ground up. If you research enough and document everything, write conventions, pdrs, best practices, todos, the product you get is like a 1000 times better. Edit : ofcourse Aider, cline and attodev/bolt are some other platforms/applications that could be used…

Nowa is promising, but flutterflow remains the best as of now,Nowa has a long way to go before competing for flutterflow

I tried it and love it , i am about to take an annual subscription. But there a lot of widgets missing , I tried to use the navigation rail for web/desktop app and it’s not there unless I do it using code . But in all it’s a breath of fresh air for flutter devs

It looks exciting. I’ve been working full-time with FlutterFlow for over a year and have decided to stop using it. There are far too many bugs, and I spend way too much time troubleshooting their system. Lately, I’ve been working with Curser and Windsurf, and I can actually develop apps much faster this way than I can with FlutterFlow. The good thing is that you’re then 100% independent of an online service, and I can switch to a new AI editor whenever I want. I’m deeply disappointed with their support. Every time they introduce new features in FlutterFlow, they constantly bring in new bugs. My experience with FlutterFlow is that they are 100% focused on adding new features to attract paying users, and they genuinely don’t care about those who are already customers and reliant on FlutterFlow.

It’s not a FlutterFlow killer, but hopefully this lights a fire under them so they sharpen their price and steal with pride as far as some of the approaches taken by Nowa. Thanks for drawing attention to this neat little tool.
