    Thank you for this talk Fr. Photius. So many other Christian pastors would never discuss this issue at a human level and instead would rather gloss over it or address it with worn out platitudes, but people who struggle with homosexual behavior are no less human than any other person struggling with sin. Who hasn’t had a lustful or perverse thought? We should humble ourselves first. God bless!

    I have a question. I'm Catholic. If i ever decide to convert to Orthodox would if have to reconfess all my sins in that church for the church to say they are forgiven?

    • @PhotiusAvant

      That would not be necessary. You would simply begin confessing from the time that elapsed from your last confession in the Church of Rome.

    ☄️THE GOSPEL OF THE WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD "the last age in which God saves man from the destruction of this old world" (In the Age of the Kingdom, God uses the word to initiate a new age, change the way He works, and do the work of the entire age. This is the principle God uses to work in the Age of the Word. Such work is done to better achieve the goals of conquering man, perfecting man, and eliminating man, which is the true meaning of using words to work in the Word Age. Through these, these, the man is being exposed, taken away, and tested. People have seen God's words, heard these words, and acknowledged their existence. The word "words" can be please and ordinary, but the words spoken from the mouth of God incarnate shake the universe, they change people's hearts, change their thoughts and former dispositions, and change the former form of the whole world. From this time on, man lives under the guidance of God's words, guided and sustained by His words. These words and deeds are all for the salvation of man, to fulfill the will of God, and to change the original form of the world of the previous creation. God created the world with words, He guides people throughout the universe with words, and He conquers and saves them with words. Ultimately, He will use the words to bring an end to the entire old world, thereby completing the entirety of His plan of government.) Almighty God said In the AGE OF THE KINGDOM, GOD USES the WORD to START the NEW AGE, CHANGE the way He works, and do the WORK of the entire age. This is the principle that GOD USES in WORKING in the AGE of the WORD. He became a MAN to speak from different perspectives, so that MAN CAN REALLY SEE GOD, who is the WORD APPEARING IN THE FLESH, and behold His WISDOM and WONDER.🙏 SUCH WORK IS DONE to better ACHIEVE the GOALS of SUBJECTING MAN, making MAN PERFECT, and eliminating man, which is the TRUE MEANING of using WORDS to WORK in the AGE of the WORD. ☀️🙏 THROUGH these words, MAN KNOWS God's work, God's disposition, MAN'S SPIRIT, and WHAT MAN SHOULD ENTER. THROUGH the WORDS, the ENTIRE WORK that GOD wants to DO in the AGE of the WORD is FULFILLED. THROUGH these WORDS, PEOPLE are exposed, removed, and tried. PEOPLE have SEEN the WORDS of GOD, HEARD these WORDS, and recognized the existence of these WORDS. 🙏 Because of this, they have believed in the EXISTENCE of GOD, in the infinite POWER and WISDOM of GOD, as well as in GOD'S LOVE for MAN and His only SAVE MAN. THE WORD "words" may be simple and ordinary, but the words spoken from the mouth of God incarnate shake the UNIVERSE, they CHANGE PEOPLE'S HEARTS, CHANGE their mindsets and former DISPOSITIONS, and CHANGE the former form of the whole WORLD. 🙏💐 THROUGH THE AGES, only the GOD of TODAY HAS DONE in this way, and He is the only one who SPEAKS LIKE THAT and comes to SAVE MAN like that. From this TIME, MAN LIVES UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF GOD'S WORDS, guided and sustained by His WORDS. 🙏 PEOPLE LIVE in the WORLD of GOD'S WORDS, IN THE MIDST of the curses and blessings of GOD'S WORDS, and even more people begin to LIVE UNDER THE JUDGMENT and PUNISHMENT of His WORDS. These WORDS and ACTIONS are ALL for the SALVATION of MAN, to FULFILL the WILL of GOD, and to CHANGE the ORIGINAL form of the WORLD of the previous CREATION.☀️ GOD CREATED THE WORLD with WORDS, He GUIDES PEOPLE throughout the UNIVERSE with WORDS, and He CONQUERS and SAVES them with WORDS. 🙏 At LAST, He WILL USE WORDS to END the entire former WORLD, thereby completing the ENTIRENESS of His PLAN of GOVERNMENT. 🙏 Throughout the AGE of the KINGDOM, GOD USES WORDS to DO His WORK, and achieve the RESULTS of His WORK. He does NOT work wonders or perform miracles, but only does His work through words. Because of these WORDS, MAN IS CARED for and fed, and gains KNOWLEDGE and TRUE EXPERIENCE. ☀️ In the AGE of the WORD, MAN is greatly blessed. He does not suffer physical pain and only enjoys an abundant supply of God's words; without having to narrowly search or travel, in the midst of His comfort, he sees the manifestation of God, he HEARS Him SPEAK from His OWN mouth, he ACCEPTS what He gives, and personally baptizes Him to do His WORK. These are things that people in previous ages did not enjoy, and these are blessings they will never receive. 🙏 From "The Word, Vol. 1 The Manifestation and Work of God. The Age of the Kingdom is the Age of the Word" Fulfillment of "In the beginning He was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (John 1:1). ... and "When I looked up, someone handed me a book wrapped in a scroll. I opened it and I read on both sides the prayers, lamentations, and curses." (Ezekiel 2:9-10). ... "His garment was stained with blood. He was called the "Word of God" (Rev. 19:13). The kingdom He brought down and set up in the highest in the sky so that it can occupy His creation in the universe and engrave on it the entirety of His Holy name "THE CHURCH OF ALMIGHTY GOD" 💐 fulfillment of (Mat. 16:18) "And I say as for you, you are Peter, on top of this rock I will build my Church, that even the power of death will not prevail over it.". ... and "The Letter to the Church in Philadelphia" (Rev. 3:7-13). ... And fulfillment of "The New Jerusalem" 💫 "The Spirit enveloped me, and the angel led me to the top of a very high mountain. He showed Me Jerusalem, the Holy City, coming down from heaven from God." (Rev. 3:7-13). ... " For the time has come in the house of God for the beginning of judgment in the house of God." (1 Peter 4:17). ... It is fulfilled that God Himself is our Pastor in (Rev. 7:17) 💐 "For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their PASTOR. He will lead them to springs of life-giving water; and God will wipe the tears from their eyes" 📩 Calling and leading the sheep of God to His glorious Throne "THE CHURCH OF ALMIGHTY GOD"💐 to submit again to His authority so that He will continue to teach, guide and protect even in plague, famine and wild animals will not be moved by it and completely win this final battle with the big red dragon! "They say with a loud voice, "Salvation comes from the Lamb, and from our God who sits on the Throne!" (Rev. 7:10). ... and it will be fulfilled that will be established above the sky/TH-cam in (Isaiah 2: 2 / 9:6) "On the Last Day, the mountain on which Jehovah's temple stands will stand out above all the mountains. All nations will flock there. " . . . "For a baby boy is born to us. The rule will be given to him; and he shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Almighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace." 📨

    There are several questions that I have. First one I was told that you have to cry during confession. Well I'm definitely not a Meghan Markle. I cannot turn on the waterworks. I can't have one tear come down my cheek. So since I can't do that do I still go to confession? 2nd I was looking at and rating on confession that I don't have to go into detail of my sins, I only have to re-word it or make it less detailed. So is this correct ? I think I lost my way. Not a confession, just a statement. TY in advance.

    I like that definition at the 12 minute mark. Because too often I see "sin" used by both Christians and Non-Christians, alike, as merely a tool to subordinate those who are too honest, while they preserve the right to Enjoy Their Sins, when they can get away with it. At least with this, I can "rightly" denote that Such-People are themselves "THE SINNERS" even as they play Inspector Javert with anyone they can find. One big thing that turns me off Christianity, is when "sin" talk is used much the same way that "privilege" talk is used: as a way to shake down the honorable, the honest, the hardworking, the fair-players, the poor, for the sake of increasing the Wealth of the Unworthy, the parasites, the sneaks, the cheats. etc. AT LEAST with this definition: "Sin is exaltation of Self" ... if we stick with this definition, then this is an "accusation" that can be leveled by the truly "weak" ( not fake weak ) against the "strong."

    I think i get it but my question is: is confession of sins to a priest required for salvation like the catholics think. Like are protestants hell bound? Im just kinda confused about this

    • @marleyfan1000
      @marleyfan1000 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You're not confessing to a priest. You're confessing to God, the priest is there to hear it and provide spiritual guidance then praying the prayers of absolution. Confession is in Holy Scripture as I'm assuming you already know. Going to Confession and receiving absolution "cleans the slate" and gives spiritual healing. We don't view God as a bean counter waiting to condemn you but a Physician providing spiritual care to help you gain salvation. If you haven't already visited an Eastern Orthodox Church yet I would like to invite you visit one soon and ask the priest there any questions you might have because he could probably provide a better answer than me a layman.

    I think the "nous" in Orthodoxy needs to be explained more. Because I still need it said. It's like a mirror image of the trinity?

  • @charlesnunno8377
    @charlesnunno8377 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    There is so much in there. I see so many parallels and questions there. The Publican is the "Secular Man" and the Pharisee is the "Religious Man." Both pursue different strategies to power, even if both "believe" even if both "do not believe." Even if both do not hope for the "resurrection of the dead" and the "Messiah." There is also something psychological there: Why is it somehow WORSE for the Publican to "cheat his own" rather than to cheat a Roman? If it is worse to cheat those closest too you, what does that suggest for everything we see around us today?

  • @charlesnunno8377
    @charlesnunno8377 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    "Rank is all there is." In other words the Centurion was demonstrating to Jesus, "I DO NOT BELIEVE IN POWER ALONE....I believe in YOU." By pleading for "his slave" he was proving his faith. He was valuing the LIFE of his servant. Something someone who only believes in SUPERIOR vs. INFERIOR classes would never do. By "asking" he was proving it.

  • @charlesnunno8377
    @charlesnunno8377 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Is it that unreasonable however, if I choose to interpret the words of Jesus, no doubt meant by him in a very darkly humorous way as an affirmation of the natural feelings of normal people: I would love my own children, more than the children of strangers, and from that principal Nationhood flows. It is not wrong? Israel First, the Gentiles Second. If that is the principal, I see no error in it.

  • @charlesnunno8377

    Does this mean as an Orthodox, I would not be forbidden to have a commitment to a "secondary religion" as long as I keep it out of Church? A set of political values and tastes. Such as Monarchy for example. I am not a heretic if I care about Material Order in the Physical World?

    I will grant you that this is an argument that gives me pause. I might hate many Christians, but I cannot hate the Apostles and Martyrs. Nothing they said sounds immoral to me, and they died. It makes me want to play Diocletian just to test the integrity of a Christian with the Threat of Death. So YES....I'll grant you that. No one LIES to lower himself in life. At least....they would have to be insane or they really believed They Saw What They Saw.

I suppose the fact that I ask this question reveals how much my experience is weighted down by our fallen nature...

    We are Orthodox Christians. We should not change our values based on modern corrupt influences. Read the Holy Bible. Read the entire book of Revelation. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Always resist the temptation of Satan, and his followers. Turn away from sin and turn to Jesus.

    The use of 2 different cameras, & going back & forth between 2 different angles is inspired by Hollywood & the liberal media. Therefore it is evil, fake, & phony. It's also a waist of time, money, & energy. I would like to share this video because of its content. But I can't because switching between 2 camera angles is so fake, phony, & stupid. Look straight into the camera as you speak to your audience.
