    My toddler never used that position. She is three years old and lately also does it to transition for not long at all. She doesn't play in that position. Do we need to see a physio? She is comfortable sitting in other positions. I am now telling her every time I see her, or shall I just correct if she does it for longer than a few seconds? Thank you for this helpful video.

    My daughter is 1.6 year old and she is not taking solids other than very runny purees and smooth purees sweet and salty both but she only takes purees and doesn’t take any hard or semi solid pieces in her mouth. I started giving her purees when she was 6 month old till now she is not taking anything. Tried to transition her to semi solids and finger foods but she vomits or rejects everything. She can stays hungry for 6 hours easily that is why I have ti give her puree so she could eat something at least. She has not taken bottle milk as well so she was on breast milk solely. Now I need any advice or guidance what approach should I take as I don’t have any facility of special health care personal for this specific problem here in Pakistan. She is perfectly normal kid but transitioning is quite difficult for me. Should I completely skip purees and give her semi solid things or should I wait until she grows older and able to understand she has 4 teeth in upper jaw and 4 teeth in lower jaw. Can anyone help me please. I don’t want her weight to drop as she is 11.9 kg right now. And on and off have cough and flu seasonal. Please some one guide me as I have left her hungry in the morning and she did not even touch the food for straight 4 hours then I have to feed her pureed food again .

      I'm having a similar problem. My daughter just turned 1 year old and she's really not taking to solid foods. She will only eat puff snacks and popcorn (with the kernal broken off ). If she actually does place food in her mouth she will chew annd then spit the food out. She will eat a couple of swallows of purees. My daughter is bottle fed and will still accept that. Our pediatrician referred her to an occupational feeding therapist but there is a 4 month wait list. I feel like this problem keeps getting worse over time. My daughter is also in daycare so I can't monitor who other people are offering her foods. I don't allow force feeding but I'm worried and frustrated because I can't see what's going on there.

    • @komalshahid2370
      @komalshahid2370 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Tanessa1982 this is really frustrating and annoying but I would definitely suggest keep on trying and give her variety of options and those options should have different textures. She should be exposed to all kind of texture in this stage otherwise it would get late and can cause more problems in terms of texture aversion

      Yes offering foods to explore and get exposure without pressure to eat is so important! A feeding assessment can help figure out what is going on that is making transitioning to solid foods hard.
