Do you have to pay taxes in FL when the supplies are going to be deliver to a port for export purpposes? Thanks for Sharing!
You pay the normal state taxes when purchasing the supplies but nothing extra on top of that.

Super interested in starting to look at a couple plots of land in North Abaco. Would probably be a couple years of sitting on the property before I could afford to build something there was wondering if you knew anything about the area

It just really depends on what material your buying. Some cheaper in the states and vise versa.
What ended up being cheaper for you (generally), importing from the US or buying from Nassau?
The majority of our materials came from the US. I did buyer few items such as cabinets and furniture in Nassau.

Can you build your own cabinets on site to save on the duties, vat? What are the fees for importing the raw materials for it?
Hi. Yes you can, no problem at all. And all the wood materials are duty free. VAT at 10% will be assessed if materials come from the US plus freight. Hardware will have duty but since cost is low it shouldn’t be much. Great question. Thanks for the sub!!

How nice of you and Bambi to put this all together for possible builders. Yay! One thing I immediately think of are the hurricanes. Is this a concern at all? Have there been any major storm systems or is Exuma off the beaten path for hurricanes? Is there planning for that too? Storm shelters? Do people just buy tons of supplies and generators? Solar power? I would love to be in this bracket but it's way out of my league-still, I love these segments you both put together, as one always needs something to Dream Big about. Hi. Thank you for watching!! Hurricanes are definitely a concern but Exuma has been blessed with very few of them. We live on the Gulf Coast so we deal with hurricanes so its normal for us. We do have a small generator but solar panels are our next expense. I appreciate your support!! We'll keep pushing forward
