Hot Toys New Avengers Scarlet Witch Posing
Would you vouch for three DF120's stacked, or four Sixth110s? Thinking the former with the back half shelves to almost create 6 shelves in the DFs.
Thanks for making this, quite helpful. Considering buying some...
how big is this ??
spotlight is like more of a museum type look. The LED strip is better for a larger display. Both are nice. Debating what i should go for in my custom muscle rack case.. Im leaning towards the bar as its a bigger case. Great video, we get a good point of view on how each light setup looks.
Quick question: when joining 2 moducases horizontally, and when you have multiple vertical stacks, do you still secure the vertical stacks on both the left and right sides? I’m putting mine together right now and that’s what I did, but they don’t seem to fit side by side very well. Not very flush. Thanks!
the most complicated thing to assemble that I have ever tried in my life, putting together safely and without damaging them my 6xDF60 and 3xDF120 plus the LEDs and the drawers... holy cow! A nightmare that took me months and for which I risked breaking something dozens of times. I also had to give up on assembling the LEDs, because it has to be done while assembling everything else and can't be done later, and I'd much rather not have to reassemble everything. It certainly cannot be said that they are easy to assemble and above all they require a loooooong, loooong time and maximum human patience possible. in fact your video is also linked on their site because their own instructions are completely useless to understand anything about how to assemble this hell. If I could go back I don't think I would buy all this again and I would spend those 3000+ dollars differently. thank you, then
Outstanding video! Saved for future reference.
The grooved rings on the back are an artifact of how the original props were made. Contrary to popular belief, they weren't one piece spun pieces, they were overlapping rings made by a spinning company in southern england that were glued together using death glue, hence why the rear rings are offset from the front rings.
Any link for the lights? They fit perfectly what ive been looking for :)
To add, with the 1/6 scale figures you need to move where the light is aiming. You could add two more lights if you have two rows. Aim two at the front and two to the back. Would look soooo much better.
I built my own case, converted a utility shelf into one, I have a mix of six scale hottoys and Godzilla figures. I first tried the typical led light, like your other moducases. I HATED IT, they were WAY too bright and hard to install. I sent them back and got spotlights and LOVE them!! IMO most youtubers don't give spotlights a chance. I love the flexability they give you. Being able to "aim" the light to create cool effects. IDK why people say they don't give enough light. Each level of my shelf are 4ft wide, 2ft tall, 2ft deep. With 4 spotlights I can get a good amount of light on all figures. If I wanted more I could totally get two more lights and completely fill the shelf with light. Spotlights are very underrated!!!!
you customize a muscle rack? i did the same. I just have to cut my acrylic sheet in half for the side panels and put vinyl tape as the trimming. I also have to install lights but right now i have wireless rechargeable LED bars that are magnetic. I just have to take it off and recharge them every other week or so. I don't mind that cause i dont put them on too often. I actually might just stay with that. But the spotlights look more professional and give a museum esk type look. Which i like very much. I agree spotlights are underrated.. Way better than those flexible led strips, and i see those strips get a lot of love.
Definitely gave me some ideas, thanks!
Since you posted this video, Disney/Marvel purchased a shield from Grayson (Comic Sandwiches) and they have it on display in Disneyland Paris. If they buy from him instead of sending him a cease and desist, I think he's got their blessing? As for other fandoms he makes props for, I think he is considered "third party". Anyway, I'm also debating getting an updated shield, so thanks for posting the review.
Why would they purchase one when they have plenty of spares in storage?
Thanks for sharing.
Hi just checking to see if you still like the moducase DF120. Hows it holding up?
still love it. I have 12 of the DF120! holds up amazing
I love the front not a huge fan of the back. I don’t like that it isn’t detailed with the rings either and I don’t care for the emblem. I think the leather straps could have been done more accurately. Also for $600 there shouldn’t be stickers on the front 🤦
So I did find on the site you can pay extra for the rings on the inside of it! But I agree for the price point it should be included
Did you use the pure white or warm white lights for this video?
Hi bro , on which websites can I buy that model, I search and nothing
Can anyone help with installing the enhancement bar kit for the DF130? I have the picture instructions from Moducase PDF but it is not clear to me, which is back, which is front, when you put the bar on, etc. I searched for a video to demonstrate this, but have no luck finding any help. Appreciate any help.
Thank you for this!!
Mine didn’t come together whole reason I was here lol
Just got mine, whoever did the parts to instructions list was high was a kite , the picture says "side frame back bar", but checking the parts list there is no such thing as a side frame back bar, also my front frame did not come pre assembled. thank you for this video
I understand being critical with stuff, but trying making that damn shiled with zero flaws, somewhere somehow somethings going to be stupid and scratch it or something, its still a wonderful close replica to the " real" deal
Has anyone here installed the enhancements to increase the max weight to 30kg? The instructions they included are awful and I was wondering if there are any video examples out there, haven't found any myself.
I love the layout where did you get the helmet stands?
Oof. The paint job is not great at that price point. I would steer clear of this company. Looks like it would be better to get a quality custom made piece. Thanks for the review.
Can u do a quick vid on the mounting? I live in SF so earthquakes are a concern and the mount instructions leave a lot of questions unanswered
hey! you mean mounting them to the wall?
@@thecollector7347 yes. There are instructions for it but they aresimple and unclear
I mounted only 1 so far. I'll see if I can put something together to help you out!@@brianchew333
Have you had any problem going over 15 kg in the SIXTH110?
I don't think my figures all weight enough for that to be an issue for me. If you need to support more weight you should check out the MAX series
Thanks @@thecollector7347
awesome video man! I've got about 15 cases coming soon. I'm excited to get them built.
amazing. If you need help let me know. I have almost 20 new ones coming soon
I think they all look perfect. I prefer the EFX one since they used the original mold that made screen used props. Please let me know if you are going to sell the efx one or thor hammer too. I am interested in those!
I like the shine on the 3rd party ones, but the EFX are nice, and rare to find now. you can make an offer if your serious
@@thecollector7347 hey brother, would you take 1500 cash and I will come pick it up
I live on an island called Newfoundland, Im not sure you could get here to pick that up in person lol@@dang1282
@@thecollector7347 lol oh nooo, yeah I live in Washington State and I thought maybe I could drive to Canada to visit it and pick up the hammer from you. That would be awesome lol. Anyways, hopefully i can go to your island someday. It must be beautiful. Can you still do the offer and ship it to me?
@@thecollector7347 hey brother! Still thinking about the offer?
Hey buddy? Consider selling your Thor Hammer?
not really! EFX didn't make a lot of these, it's pretty rare now a days. I guess it would depend on the offer tho.
@@thecollector7347 understand brother. I just got the efx cap stealth shield artist proof version soooo rare and I love it. I am thinking about getting the Mjolnir to finish up my collection. How’s your hammer condition?
Hammer is just like the day I got it! only ever on display @@dang1282
@@thecollector7347 you have instagram and stuff i can talk to you about the offer?
Great video. I am eventually going to get some of them but my question is where did you get the Black Panther throne. I have sent it on a few videos now and also does it come with the/a figure? Thanks.
Hey! It doesn't come with anything but the Throne. It was made by hot toys, and mine came from sideshow collectables when it was first released!
Thanks, I found it on Ebay. It's expensive now :( maybe one day, thanks again.@@thecollector7347
@The Collector I just wanted to personally thank you for this video…I got 2 DF30’s and the online instructions were ok, but Your Video helped tremendously. Thank You Sir!
Happy to help!! enjoy the new display. they are worth it
Thank you for this very detailed instructions on how to build DF120 ..quick question..would you recommend this case for larger scale statues ..1/4 scale figures...if im trying to display 2 or 3 in one case..or what case would you recommend..right now i have ikea besta cabinets which are good but im running into a problem with space..and have dust issues..which i find myself cleaning my statues ..these cases a seem like the perfect solution..thanks again for giving us collectors different options for displaying our collections
Hey! The DF series is the best one they make for larger collectables ... you can also look into the MAX series if what you have is very heavy. But It sounds like DF120 is the best size for you
Thanks for this helpful video! I ordered my first DF130 and it is arriving soon. I am a little apprehensive assembling it. I will take it slow and refer to your instructions. It is hard to see what part of the frame to assemble first and then in ascending order. The assembly instruction PDF on Moduspace site is a little cryptic.
How’s the battery life
they were pretty good, but I moved onto other cases not long after. SO I can't really give a good timeline for those to last
@@thecollector7347 I didn’t even realize how old this video was. What display case did you move onto?
@@Jojiiiiiiii Moducase!
Would you recommend spot or led for 1-2 maybe 3 1/4 statues in a case?
statues seems to be more popular with the lighting of the spot lights! but its a personal choice really
been looking for a video like this think you so much! looking to start my own DIY display case and wanted spotlights but wanted to see how they look
I have the 165 moducase. Definitely prefer the spot lights. Much more dramatic and natural lighting.
Shame I have to youtube some random collector to shiw me how to build it. Thanks Moducase!!!
Strange a company forwards me to a guy just like me to install this thing. Instructions are shit they give you. Very amateurish. I understand maybe a language barrier. All other instructions give detailed pictures
Where did you get captain america?
Nice efx thor hammer man!
How long was shipping
6-8 months. WORTH IT
I like the single Lights alot better for Big Single Statues. It definitely enhances the statue better.
AGREE! bigger collectables for spot lights
Thanks for the video. I really want to get a moducase. It's definitely an investment to protect your investments.
You are amazing assembly like an expert well done
Thanks for the great video! Quick question, does the df 130 match up with two df 120’s stacked together..Trying to plan my moducase display but have to buy them one at a time and coming up with a game plan! Thanks again!
it does!! 2 DF120 AND DF130 will look awesome
@@thecollector7347 thank you so much for the reply! If I order these one at a time do they include the connector’s for the cases? Would be bad not to be able to connect them.
@@jaymac774 they come with everything you need to stack and join!
Hey man, I'm hoping you can do me a solid. Can you tell me the maximum depth dimensions from the back of the Sixth cabinet to the acrylic front panel? The website lists 16.14" but I'm not sure if that includes the width of the front rail before butting up to the acrylic panel. Meaning is 16.14" of felt surface or is there a bit of extra play? I'm hoping my Sideshow jabba fits inside of it. It's about 16.75" deep.
you have 16 inches of space inside!
Heya. I was just trying to install a shelf after I already ran the wire. How did you get around the issue with the wire running down the inside of the rail? I ended up taking my back corner bracket off and putting it on the side of the shelf and using the back rail of the shelf next to it.
I use a little Tac, and that will help to keep the wire inside the rail or just on the outside of it. the wire and rail are black, so it can hide it pretty easily even when its ran just on the outside of the rail.
@@thecollector7347 thank you. Still got a bunch to build!
